This lakehouse was everything we hoped for and more. It was incredibly well-stocked—from plenty of fresh towels to a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking together easy and enjoyable. You can tell the hosts really thought through every detail.The property itself was perfect for both fun and relaxation. We loved having access to the lake during the day and winding down by the bonfire in the evenings—it created such a cozy, memorable atmosphere. The games provided were a great bonus and gave us lots of laughs.One of the standout features for our group was the two primary suites, which made sharing the space comfortable and convenient for everyone.This trip was especially meaningful for us—five high school friends celebrating 50 years of friendship—and this home provided the perfect setting. We had such a fun, restful, and joy-filled time together.Highly recommend this lakehouse—we would absolutely come back!

Great place! Would highly recommend. Everything was perfect with our stay. Loved how clean the place was. Also the pizza oven was a huge hit with the kids and adults. Beds were very comfortable. Will definitely be back soon!

The very best thing about this property is the location. Our host Celli was amazing. When I called her and told her there was only one dish towel and dish rag in the kitchen she immediately showed up within several hours to accommodate us, however, she only brought one dish cloth and one dish towel, which was not enough to dry dishes for five days with 12 people. Luckily, we as a family brought dish towels as well as washcloths for the kitchen And it was OK. The property was very clean and accommodating for our sibling union of brothers and sisters. The only thing I would say to make things better is that every bedroom was very scarcely accommodated with furniture. Even the master bedroom on both floors had no chair. If you wanted to sit down and tire shoes, which is important for over 60, you could not. And many of the upstairs bedrooms where our siblings stayed they did not even have a table chair or light in their room, other than the overhead light. The bedding squeaked & uncomfortable. The dishwasher in the kitchen smelled very moldy every time we would run it, it would come up through the drain in the kitchen sink and many times the kitchen sink would not drain. We were going to call our host again, but waited about an hour and finally the kitchen sink drained. It did not ruin our visit because we shared lots of family memories here but I must say we will not come back to this property.

Lake House

Had a great stay at this beautiful lake house! Hands down the best equipped vacation house I have ever rented. The host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Kitchen is exceptional and provides about anything you could possibly need including an espresso maker which was a big hit with us. The main living space was the perfect size for our group and very comfortable. Loved the fire pit on the deck. We had 12 people ranging from 6 months to 73 years and there was more than enough room. Fishing off the dock was a favorite for the kids. Just relaxing on the dock and taking in the view was my personal favorite. Would like to go back when it’s warm enough to swim! The views are beautiful. The hosts have gone out of their way to make a beautiful gathering place for your family or friends. I highly recommend the house and the hosts.

Wood Creek Lake vacation

We had a wonderful stay July 2024. There were eleven of us. Ages 3-72. House set up is well laid out. Kitchen and dining area above average. Plenty of pots pans, plates etc. washer and dryer industrial sized! Very appreciated. Also lots of spices so did not need to purchase as we’ve had to do in other rentals. My only prblem quite the property was lack of outdoor space for game playing althouthiugh wrap around deck is large. Just hard with two very rambunctious young ones. My fault for not asking . Also we loved swimming in the calm warm lake right off the dock . Many stairs to get to water from house so we mostly drove a car and put our snacks and water toys in that way so we wouldn’t have to risk carrying things down the stairs. The dock could use hand rails for young ones and elderly.

Family Vacay 2024

This was our second time at this property. Once again it did not disappoint! We had 8 adults and 5 kids (three generations). Plenty of space, stairs to the lake were very doable and this is definitely the best stocked VRBO we have stayed at. There was a boil advisory and Celli made sure we had the necessary water for cooking and drinking. The lake itself is very clean and at this location, boat traffic was minimal - which meant plenty of floating time in the water. I imagine we will be back for our next family vacation!

Great lake house

Just recently stayed at the lake house with family. The house and property were fantastic. The dock on the lake provided good opportunity to fish and swim. The lake was quiet and fun to swim/float throughout the day. I would stay here again!

Beautiful Getaway

Our stay at this property was wonderful. We wanted to get our family of 12 together in one spot to enjoy each other's company, be surrounded by nature, and relax. This property gave us all three. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating and the house had everything you could need. It was awesome to have the lake so close to take a swim. We also enjoyed the cheese maker close by and the farmers market. Highly recommend this rental!!

Beautiful fall property

We do a fall trip every year with my family. This house fit us all perfectly with 6 bedrooms. Steps up and down to the lake were a bit much for the older folks but to be expected. We enjoyed meals in the open kitchen, which had more than enough supplies to help with cooking meals. We enjoyed the firepit and the host even provided some items for smores for the kiddos. This area is so beautiful in the fall and the host gave us the number for a company that brought kayaks and picked them up for us. We had a great family trip and would definitely recommend this home.

Great family vacation spot

We stayed here with 3 other families, plenty of space. The house was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. Celli is a great host who responded quickly with anything we needed before and during our stay!

Family Lake Vacation

We spent 5 nights in this lake house with our 4 children, their spouces and 5 grandchildren. One of the grandchildren also brought a friend. What a great time we had! There was enough space that we could spread out and not feel crowded. The kitchen was large enough for us to prepare large breakfasts and have family meals together in the evening. The lake was quiet and beautiful! We enjoyed fishing, swimming and canoeing.

Great family vacation spot!

We spent 2 weeks here with our family for our 50th wedding anniversary. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The grandkids loved fishing and swimming off the dock. They did not want to leave when it was time to go home. Thanks to the s’mores kit Celli left us, we made s’mores almost every night. This house is one of the best we have ever rented.We hope to come back.

Wonderful Lakehouse Adventure

Three generations of our family were able to come together in this spacious, clean, and well equipped home. With large indoor and outdoor gathering places we had plenty of room to spread out, play games, float in the lake off the dock, and just hang out. Plenty of towels were provided and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was quick to answer my "pre-trip" questions and was incredibly fast to respond when I reached out to her during our stay. I would definitely recommend this house for an extended family gathering and would rent from this host again!

Our stay with Maria

Cellie and David provide this property as a tribute to Celli's mom, Maria. Maria immigrated to the USA from Italy, but a Welcome Note tells us Maria passed away in 2019. Her picture occupies the Great Room - as she stands by the guardrail of the boat she sailed on to America. From my perspective, Maria, her mom, motivates Celli to provide this PREMIER PROPERTY WITH such OUTSTANDING SERVICE. The home is exquisite in every aspect. The Wifi is excellent and the SmartTV and Family TV night were perfecto! The outdoor fireplace for Smores and the lounge patio heater make for Spectacular mornings and late-night family fellowship. A superbly stocked kitchen helped make our meals a breeze and fun to do together using the Kitchen island (which is more of a "continent" than an "island" - boom!) Centrally located to many excursions - we rode the Big South Fork Scenic Railway in Stearns, KY, and took a leisurely hike around Cumberland Falls at Cumberland Falls State Park in Corbin. We finished off the weekend with a visit to Flea Land... a fun family romp through a Huge covered Flea Market ... a kid and adult experience. The VRBO text option worked perfectly, and Celli responded within 30 mins to any and all requests... Spectacular Service. Highest Recommendation! God Bless Casa de Maria...
