Took my mum to Radisson Blu Liverpool for afternoon tea at the weekend. Great experience overall and definitely worth a visit. The service, relaxed atmosphere, quality of the food and drinks amongst other things all made her day. Would definitely recommend and would return.

Went to white bar today for al a carte meal from Groupon, served by 1 member of staff thought out, pleasant , well presented and very helpful lady. Meal lovely and decent portion, all hot and well presented. My 82 yr old mother fully enjoyed it and the staff were very attentive to her needs. Yes you had to pay extra for some items but this is explained when purchasing voucher. The room was clean and very pleasant low music, in all I would highly recommend. Will be returning to try afternoon tea from Groupon.

Very helpful staff. Accessible room quite spacious with large comfy double bed. Good large shower with seat. Only had breakfast in hotel which is extra (£12.95) but if token was bought for £50 then £70 credit given so quite good value. Swimming pool quite small but refreshing after a day out sightseeing. Unfortunately the steam room was accessible via a spiral staircase but sauna was on same level as pool.

I spent a weekend in October which unfortunately coincided with a wedding. We were on the 6th floor but could still sing along to the disco on the ground floor! Breakfast was VERY disappointing and overpriced. A lot of the food was hard and inedible, it had obviously been allowed to stand for some time. Had a great time in Liverpool but will not be staying there again, sadly as the position of the hotel was great for many of the activities in the city.

The location is convenient to city centre, business district and the waterfront area. Convenient walk to the cavern area famous for the Beatles. My room was two twins pushed together which I'm not fond of but is fairly common in Europe. The room was clean with average appointments. As requested in my profile, I received an upper-floor room (8th, in this case) away from the elevator. The coffee in the room (important to Americans but apparently not Europeans) was instant, no brewer was in the room, only a water-boiler unit. I requested extra coffee for my second night (of two) - this request was not fulfilled and no extra coffee was placed in my room. I stayed two nights and requested a wake-up call both mornings - however, the wake-up calls never came (just like the extra coffee!) so I am fortunate my body clock was working because there also is no clock in the room. I will likely return here as my business is nearby but will make special arrangements at the front desk on my next visit.

The 'Collage' restaurant within the Radisson Blu seemed like a good deal when we booked it through an offer site. However, when we arrived at the almost empty restaurant, we were told there was a range of extras to pay on items on the menu. My wife wanted steak, so we had to pay £5 extra, plus £2 for sauce. When the steak arrived, it came with ONE mushroom and a half tomato. I had the lamb, and that came with barely warm mash, no veg. While we sat and waited a good 45 minutes for the staff to sort out a bottle of wine for us, we noticed a table near us with dirty crockery on it. Two hours later, it was still there. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Am very surprised to read the negative reviews about this hotel. I am in the second of a two night stay and have found everything very impressive. The check in girl was friendly and helpful. The bar staff friendly. We ate in the bar both nights and the food was very good if a little expensive. The only quibble there is we ordered a plain burger and I heard the girl ring the kitchen and order a plain burger but it came out with everything on it. For the price you expect more. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area is nice. Again friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again and would recommend.

Super hotel! Really friendly staff...fab breakfast...great location..lovely restaurants nearby too! Relaxing atmosphere would defo come back! Had a fab room on the 8th floor including nespresso machine..nice touch!😀

I stayed for three nights in October 2017. I considered a four-star rating, but t there are much better four-star hotels in Liverpool. The room was fairly nice, with one easily fixable problem, and another probably tougher one. Firstly, the iron was terrible. When I got the board out the cupboard, I was puzzled that it was on a slant, with the legs on one side slightly buckled. On attempting to use it, I could understand why; it was almost completely ineffective, and the occupant before me must have been applying pressure to breaking point in a frantic effort to remove creases! I gave up, and had to turn up to work looking like I'd slept in the shirt. My colleagues were amused, but if I'd had an important meeting, I couldn't have shared the joke. It's a shame that a generally good hotel is let down by the provision of equipment cheaper than the room rate should demand. The second issue I had was that the cold water from the tap was warm and therefore quite unpleasant to drink. I visited the restaurant for dinner twice, eating too late to allow me to find anywhere outside the hotel. On the first night I had leek and potato soup (quite nice) to start. For main I had a sirloin steak with mixed vegetables. It's a pet hate of mine to have to order different parts of a main meal individually - I'd much rather they design a dish and put a price to it personally. Nevertheless, the vegetables were tasty. The steak was well seasoned, but it arrived medium rare (possibly even medium) when I'd asked for it blue. I was hungry and it was late, so I ate it without complaint (no one asked me how it was), but that was pretty disappointing. I also had a pint of beer. The total came to over £40, which I thought considered very expensive for the quality and quantity involved. On the subject of price, wine is prohibitively dear, with a large glass ranging from £8-14, despite a list that didn't stand out as particularly special at all. The second night I had the fish and chips, which was really very good, and cheered me up after my initial experience. Similarly, breakfast is quite good, with a nice range of hot and cold food, meat, vegetables and fruit. The gym is quite large, with a range of free weights, weight machines, and cardio equipment. All were in good working order. I visited several times. There were always quite a few people in, but never problematically so. I think that there is also a spa and pool, but I did not use these.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of oct with my friend amd we had an excellent stay. Staff were very friendly, rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel also offered a complimentary late checkout which was brilliant for us as our flight wasnt till late evening. Front desk staff especially were very polite and friendly would defo stay here again.
