I use this hotel regularly during business trips, and I have always had a great stay. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the restaurant serves really good meals as well as a very complete breakfast buffet. Great overall experience.
There is no News in English that you can watch on TV as the reception is very bad, BBC is very bad with no France 24 english, and with no WIFI strong enough in the room to watch Bloomberg online or any other news on the Web it was very poor for a business hotel.
As a platinum member of Accor Group I use their hotels constantly. This is the worst stay I have had. The rooms we had booked were incorrect as we wanted a 3 and 2 in the end my family was spread across 3 rooms. The hotel was effectively closed as the bar and restaurant were closed so we had to have dinner and breakfast out. Our room was dirty and we found a pair of dirty pants in the wardrobe.
The room was not ready at the arrival. The front desk young lady was rude and not professional - need some trainning to receive customers. The heater was very loud all night. You could hear the next romm guess taking his shower. If you want to sleep, avoid absolutly this old hotel. Fluid pipes need some acoutic and vibartion isolation.
Lovely clean room, that's as far as it goes. Room service choice was very limited and poor, you can get a cup of tea in the room however a paper cup is all you are worth! Sounds of the heating system drone on continually and when asked to change rooms I was told all rooms are the same . Why is that acceptable?? Mercure,never again will I darken your door.
The driver of the "Just Go" tour bus thought we had drawn the short straw in opting for this hotel due to it being South of Paris and thus extending our journey time from Calais. True the restaurant & bar were closed on our late arrival on Friday evening and they didn't open either on Saturday so food has to be obtained elsewhere. However, the breakfast buffet was substantial with hot offerings in addition to the continental style cheese and cold meats. The bedroom, though modestly furnished had a large, comfortable bed and a double size shower cubicle and a magnificent shower. I stood under the power shower thinking "this is magnificent" and that's not a term I would usually apply to something as simple as a shower. The restaurant staff, seeing there was some confusion at breakfast relating to contents of thermos jugs, helpfully added signage to the table the following morning. In daylight I could see that the hotel appeared to be on the fringe of an industrial zone so not the sort of place to stay and pop out for a bite to eat locally. I have rated it four out of five purely because the restaurant wasn't open during the hours I stayed at the hotel. On talking to other tours members staying elsewhere, we had drawn the correct straw when it came to this hotel....others had nothing but bread and jam for breakfast and cold rooms & poor service.
Great hotel and location for SAFRAN visitors. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. About 30 minutes from downtown Paris with a car. I would highly recommend if you are on a business trip in the area.
Positives: Large room, comfortable bed, huge walk-in shower, ample parking. Negatives: Mechanical noise (plumbing? Air-con?) during the night. Aside from the noise, it was a fine place to stay, of you don't expect too much. There are no classy toiletries in the bathroom, the decor is bland, breakfast is basic French with no surprises. Simply a place to sleep, shower and go.
Festival pas loin, nous avions besoin d'une chambre pour 3 nuits avec accessibilité fauteuil roulant. Hôtel en travaux. Donc la chambre accessible au premier étage n'était pas libre. Chambre au rdc, milieu de couloir. Literie OK, salle de bain trop petite pour un mercure avec douche, sans rangement. Couloir bruyant avec les portes battantes. Le point noir : le buffet petit déj à 15 euros. On s'attend pour ce prix-là à un super buffet varié, frais, à volonté. Quelle déception! Petites viennoiseries industrielles, peu de choix. Et surtout, l'hôtelier s'est retrouvé débordé avec 15 personnes arrivant en même temps dans la salle de petit-déj! Razzia sur le petit buffet et il n'avait pas anticipé et donc on s'est retrouvé à attendre 15 mn les oeufs et le bacon et nous n'avons pas eu le courage d'attendre 45 mn les viennoiseries qui chauffaient! Je crois mais je ne suis pas sûre que cet hôtel va devenir un ibis styles. Donc rétrogradation . POint positif : le personnel à l'accueil est sympa. OUvert 24/24
Reveil à 7h par les travaux sous la fenêtre (grue, machines,…), climatisation sifflant dans la chambre toute la nuit, carrelage manquant dans le hall, fils qui pendent du plafond dans le couloir, débarras de chaises dans le fond de la salle à manger du petit déjeuner. Ces remarques sont faites à l'accueil ; réponse " oui c'est vrai nous sommes en travaux ! " Merci pour la découverte au prix Mercure. La chambre est aux dimensions et décoration Ibis budget, par contre la douche est bien. L’hôtel est difficile à trouver le soir, la signalisation étant masquée par les palissades de travaux.
