The hotel was recommended by friends & due to lack of availability at our other choices, we gave it a shot. It was perfectly fine for our stay, close to good restaurants & nightlife but quiet enough to sleep at night (which is a complaint we heard a lot for other hotels near nightlife). The apartments / rooms were great. We stayed in the penthouse with balcony & really enjoyed it. The hotel itself was somewhat basic, but still fine. Some of the staff was excellent & went out of their way to be helpful at every opportunity. Others were slow & not great at helping. The entrance to the hotel was probably our biggest issue. It's deceiving because there's an entrance on the main road but the actual entrance & lobby is on a back alley so it was very difficult to get cabs & ubers. We had several get lost or cancel on us. Otherwise, good stay.
This was a great hotel with great location. However access by car to the street and parking is not easy and quite a hassle. I dont recommend renting a car needing to be parked. Otherwise terrific facility

Spend a week at the Lumiares Apartment in Lisbon - Awesome! We walked miles on the beautiful streets - many tree-lined with wide pedestrian areas and cobblestones - modelled after Paris. Weather was warm but never too hot, Sunsine on the terra-cotta rooftops, amazing views from the castle perched on the hill, windy, hilly streets like San Francisco with views of the water from every neighborhood. The people were nice and helpful, funny and pleasant - not pushy, not shy. Hip, cool foodie restaurants and quite, groovy coffee shops - reasonably priced (!!) food and wine. For a large city it was easy to navigate, great metro, great street cars and trams, all easy, pracitcal and on time. Went off for the day - once to Sintra and once to the beach at Cascais, by train, no problems. Would go back in a second if I could. I felt a millon miles away from home but totally at home in Lisbon.
Not only would I stay at this hotel again, I would move in if they would let me. Gorgeous property, newly renovated. Has Art Deco stunning interior while retaining external old Lisbon charm. The rooms are like apartments - 2 huge, lovely bedrooms, kitchenette, living room and 2 bathrooms! It was more of a chic apartment than a hotel room. The staff were beyond accommodating. Some of the amenities were not open yet (such as the new spa), but the experience more than made up for it. Located in the heart of Lisbon night life, it was easy to walk or take the tram throughout the city.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to learn that the hotel was to your liking. We usually receive positive feedback of all our staff though we will of course take on board your comment regarding "others". With regards to the entrance, it is designed to be on the back alley to allow cars to stop and leave customers. That being said, we advise all our guests that taxis are usually easier to stop on the main road. We are trying to get cabs to know us as we have only been open for 7 months, I have no doubt that with time, they will become more familiar with us. Thank you once more for your feedback!
