You’ll feel you’re in a secluded spot, but you’re right off the road to everywhere and everything, either for walking or driving. You definitely need to be okay with lots of stairs outside and inside. That’s how you get to that beautiful view. The house shows its age a bit and the effects of coastal weather, but is well equipped in the kitchen. Beds are tall! Short people need a little step, please. Toilets are short! Older people appreciate comfort height toilets. En suite shower is tiny and has loose pipes, but the water is hot and plentiful. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
The property itself was nice, but unfortunately, our experience with the property management company was extremely disappointing. The home was advertised as pet friendly in two separate places, yet there was no option during the booking process to disclose our dogs or pay a pet fee or deposit. We followed the booking process exactly as presented and were never informed—either in the listing or the rental agreement—that there was a two-dog limit.Despite this, we received a text at 11:00 p.m. telling us to leave the property. Fortunately, I was already asleep and did not see it until the following morning. When we spoke with the management team, they initially claimed we had five dogs, which was simply untrue. After we sent screenshots showing that the property was advertised as pet friendly, they acknowledged that dogs were allowed but said there was a two-dog maximum. Again, that restriction had never been disclosed to us.Although we received a partial refund for the night, being told to leave late at night over an undisclosed policy was upsetting and completely inappropriate. Clear and accurate pet policies should be provided before guests book—not introduced after they arrive. This whole situation was handled poorly, and I would never use them again nor would I stand in this house because it’s overpriced and underwhelming.
