After a long day on the road, it was nice to relax in our hotel suite. It was a king size bed with a separate room with a pullout couch with a second TV. Perfect!! Everything was what I expected in a Holiday Inn. The room was, as far as I know. Sound proof. I couldn't hear the traffic on I 75 nearby. There was a kitchen with everything except a stove. The only drawback was that the bathroom door and the door to the main bedroom competed with each other. They got in the way. The smoke detector near the bathroom was very sensitive. We had to keep the bathroom door closed after we used the bath or shower to keep the smoke detector from going off. Free parking, Fast check in, reasonable prices. The breakfast the next morning was fine. But it wasn't included in the hotel room price. Would I stay here again? Yes. Do I recommend this place? Yes.
Very Conveniently located. Room was nice and spaciest. Upon checking in there was a deodorizer machine running attempting to get rid of odors including very distinguishable smoke odor. This was a smoke free room./ building. Upon advising front desk staff maintenance came up to remove. Some odors still noticeable over night. No explanation or apology was offered but this was the only issue. Other than this we enjoyed our stay.
Stayed here for a single night. Was here a couple of years ago and not much has changed, which is good. This hotel is what you expect from a newer Holiday Inn Express. Basic, clean accomadations, comfortable bed, standard amenities, and functional. My only small complaint would be a rather loud AC unit. Lastly rooms at the back of the hotel face I75 and you can hear the trucks. I would suggest getting a room (odd numbered) facing the parking lot. All in all, a reliable choice for a night or two.
Stayed here during a weekend visit to see my college student. We normally stay in Findlay but thought we would try Lima since it is closer to campus. I really wanted to like this hotel but it just missed the mark. Check in was efficient and the front desk staff were very courteous and professional. The elevator to the rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (this is a non-smoking hotel). The room smelled horrendous-as if someone had been smoking a few packs of cigarettes before we entered. I called down to the front desk and they apologized and moved us to a different room with no issue. The new room did not have the same smells and was much nicer. I know you are wondering why the average review......here is why. We went to dinner and when we came back the elevator now smelled so strongly of marijuana it almost made you ill. Members of our travel party were unable to sleep due to loud and unruly behavior in the hallways into the late hours. The hallways also smelled strongly of marijuana. The bright spot of this hotel was the staff who were very polite and professional.
Well kept lobby, however, linens on the bed in our room had old stains, pillows were stained, and the floor in the bathroom around the toilet was NOT clean (stains were visible around the toilet - very gross). This set the tone for our stay, and unfortunately we viewed everything in the room as “unclean” as a result. We were on the ground floor, as per our request because of our dogs, unfortunately, we were also a couple of doors away from the pool - the pool pump is VERY loud, can be heard clearly in the room. Pet fee is pretty outrageous: $40/pet, and breakfast (typical fare free at any other place) is additional $8.99/person. All in all - not worth our money, and we will not be staying there again.
I was at the hotel for a meeting. Everything was satisfactory. Lunch was excellent..They even offered to unlock the liquor cabinet so I could have a drink. The meeting room was spacious. Sleeping accomadations were fine too.
The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We were there for a conference and our wait staff Brenda and Stormy, and chef Larry created a most pleasant experience. Thank you for a great time. The room was comfortable and clean.
All the public areas I saw were clean. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed provided a great sleep. Keurig Machine in each room with three free K-cups which are replaced as you use them each day. The front office staff I met were helpful. There are plenty of dining options near the hotel. The hotel also has a restaurant. We ate there for breakfast one morning and the food was mediocre at best. Pancakes were crisp and crunchy. Breakfast buffet was only $8.95, which is cheaper than most hotel restaurants I have visited in the last year or so, but I guess you get what you pay for. Other than my experiences with breakfast in the hotel restaurant, I have no issue recommending this hotel.
Family college visit for ONU. My nephew had to have knee surgery. Robin and the housekeeping staff worked to get us into our 2 rooms earlier than expected. Robin and staff are rock stars!! Thank you all!!
Ok so I booked this hotel on 8-5-2017 for Labor day weekend well in advance! Booked a room for my husband and two teen boys so I booked queen beds. They was going to an event just a few minutes away that they usually camp at. We decided to do hotel so they would have hot shower and POOL! They should have told us pool would be closed when I booked the room but said nothing... When they checked in it was late like 10 pm long drive in the pouring rain for 4 hours. Get up to room to find King bed and sofa sleeper. NO not what I booked they claimed it was an up grade... Not an upgrade for the third person sleeping on a 1/4" sleep sofa so back downstairs they went to change rooms. Work out area NOT open... You Should be telling people this. Thanks for doing upgrades and renovations but if people plan trips for your accommodations they expect to be able to use them!
