So convenient to the interstate when you are traveling for business. Check in was right when we got there. The rooms are undergoing a renovation but I was lucky to get a new room. It was beautiful and comfortable! There was a very nice bar in the lobby with a great bartender. Hours at the bistro were perfect. Overall, I would come here again for my Lima, OH business.
Very nice facility with a handy location near services. Pleasant, spacious room for overnight with a good TV and WIFI. Very clean with nice furnishings & decor but marred by heavy stains in carpet. Comfy beds if you like softer mattresses. Extra nice coffee and frig. area. On the downside, there is no microwave and no free breakfast. (Some package deals include 1 breakfast at the Bistro for $1 upcharge.) Nice accessible shower but subject to occasional scalding spurts. Hope this is helpful.
This hotel is convenient to the highway and is one of the closest to Ohio Northern University. It is also close to lots of restaurants and gas stations. It was clean and the room was nice. We didn't have any problems with noise. No free breakfast but there are plenty of places close by.
I stayed here for three weeks on assignment in Lima. My experience was not so good. "No" is too often an answer from the staff. There were several opportunities where I had asked for a small service (change for the laundry, change in rooms) that the initial answer was "No" that become a "Yes" through persistence. The hotel does not participate in the bonus points for not having your room cleaned/laundered every day. This is an Eco program that can really make a difference in water usage and reducing the amount of detergents put into the waste water. I encourage them to follow this program soon. The Wi-Fi is RIDICULOUSLY BAD!! I cannot stress this enough. You must log on every time you use this. It says you are connected for your stay when you log in the first time. That is not true. And, it is slow to log in. And it tries to upsell you to “high speed” for $9.95 per day most of the log in attempts. I cannot describe how frustrating this becomes after an extended stay. The manager needs to get someone that knows what they are doing to set up a modern Wi-Fi service that functions smoothly or just do away with it altogether. Do not count on this working well during your stay. Room 127 smells strongly of cigarettes, despite this being a non-smoking hotel. There also is noise from the pool carrying over here. Room 134 is at the end of the hall on the first floor. Stairway and exit door are surprisingly quiet. This is a good room. Both rooms I stayed in were clean. The staff was very friendly, just not willing/able to move beyond the basics of service. The exception to this was the housekeeping staff. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and accommodating. I just exchanged towels with them most days in lieu of having the room cleaned. They were a real pleasure to interact with. The exercise room is small and has an elliptical and two treadmills with a set of dumbbells. All the machines work well and are new models. There is a sound system and TV's on the aerobic machines. The pool is very small and kept warm. There is no hot tub. Overall it is a clean and maintained hotel. They need to work on service to distinguish themselves from lesser expensive brands.
If you are lucky and were able to get a room with the Marriotts, the rooms are nice and enjoyable. I have stayed with them before and I liked them. But I have always found it very difficult to find a wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower with the Marriott group, much more so than with the Hilton group or the Holiday Inn. The problem with the Marriotts is they do not make enough of those rooms available for people who need them. Based on personal experience, my advice is, if you need an accessible room, look somewhere else because you will not get it with the Marriott group even if the confirmation email says the room was guaranteed. This is what happened with us this week. We reserved a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower and the confirmation email said it was available and guaranteed but when we arrived at the location and wanted to check in, the manager said he had none available. When I showed him the confirmation email he said the room was available when I made the reservation online but they gave it to someone else who arrived before me. Which to me it does not make sense at all. Why do you ask people to make reservations in advance if you will not honor them, how can people trust you if you do not fulfill your promise. Now he was nice and helpful, he helped us find a room at a nearby location at a comparable price with another hotel group but still, what would have been the situation if none of the nearby hotels had a room available? For people on wheelchairs, they can not use regular rooms. So, I just wanted to share our experience so that if you are in a similar situation and need an accessible room save yourself the trouble and stay away from the Marriott group unless you can afford to gamble.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The refrigerator in my room contained half-eaten food, which I carried down to the front desk. I was offered a bottle of water as an apology. The tables in the room were covered with dust. There was hair & dust on the bathroom floor and in the shower stall. I guess cleanliness is only an expectation at this hotel.
We check in late with no problem. I did the check in with the App once I got to the room everything I have ask, such as the extra towels, pillows, etc, were in the room which made me feel welcome. We stayed over 7 days. The pillows and the bed are the most comfortable that I have slept on. The room was clean, the bathroom and everything perfect. On our first day we use the swimming pool, the only thing we encounter is the strong odor a clorox in the pool and since it does not have any ventilation it was very strong that hurt our eyes. We found a way around it and have a pleasant afternoon using the pool all to ourselfs. We wanted to use it again, but we saw that it was not clean like the frist time we did, so we did not use it again. On the frist night one of us forgot the toothbrush and I went to the desk to ask for one, and was pleased that they gave me one. The lobby and all around the hotel is very clean. Although complementary breakfast is not included, there a lot of restaurants nearby and store. The room was very clean and comfortable. One day we left late the room and ask for the room to be clean and have clean towels, we didnt get the room clean, but got the towels, we were a little bit uncomfortable, but on the rest of our stay, we always found our room, clean, bed made and clean towels. After reading some of the reviews I was scared, but my experience was wonderful. I would recommend anyone who visit Lima to stay at this hotel. I did not encounter any problem or any problem with my stay or in our room.
This hotel is so clean and nice. They have a breakfast to order too! Memory foam bed is very comfy. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Lots of restaurants nearby and right off of I75 for easy on and off of the freeway.
We are Marriott Gold Members so we stay a lot. This Courtyard was OK but if I were in the area again I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to stay here. We did early check in. Front desk seemed indifferent to us being there. They seemed to be put out that we asked for a second room key. When we got to our room they were a bunch of peanuts on the floor between the two beds. And the bathroom mirror didn't look like it had been cleaned. When my husband could not get the Wi-Fi working he called downstairs and the desk told him it was because he never checked in. So she asked him to come downstairs and check in. This was 10 o'clock at night and we were already changed and in for the evening. Seems odd to use the Marriott app for early check in and not have it work.
Worst experience of our life. Do NOT stay here. A/c didn't work, along with toilet was running, and they never plugged in the mini fridge....and thats not even the half of it! The front desk clerk didn't even care at all! She was going to send us to a Fairfield that was over 15 miles away... thank god my boyfriend works in maintenance so he was able to finally fix it! Awful!
