Worst experience of our life. Do NOT stay here. A/c didn't work, along with toilet was running, and they never plugged in the mini fridge....and thats not even the half of it! The front desk clerk didn't even care at all! She was going to send us to a Fairfield that was over 15 miles away... thank god my boyfriend works in maintenance so he was able to finally fix it! Awful!
I stopped here for the night with my daughters. I checked in very late at night and had no problems! The girl at the desk was very friendly! We got to the room quickly and settled in. We were exhausted. I was happy to find the bed the MOST COMFORTABLE out of any Marriott bed I've slept in. I got a great night's sleep. The girls were out like lights, too. It was very quiet and the room was cleaned perfectly. The next morning the girls went to the desk because we forgot our toothpaste, and they were so excited to meet the hotel's mascot! They were so excited when they came back to the room. It was a nice added touch! I always find the need to leave rave reviews because I feel that the great stays deserve praise also. Everyone is always is so quick to write about the negatives, but we have to shine on the positives too. I will never hesitate to stay at this hotel whenever we are this way! Thanks to amazing an team! Keep up the good work--it's appreciated!
As a frequent traveler for business, I need business partners I can depend upon. After a long day of traveling, I expect to check in where I have a reservation. After driving for 2 hours, I was told they overbooked and they put me at another hotel. A hotel that does not offer food, is next to railroad tracks and is not equal to a Courtyard except for price.
A special thanks to Kyle the night manager for making a special weekend even better. Kyle is a very hard worker who husseled when we needed something. He changed hats to do what was necessary. The hotel clearly wasn't ready for a busy weekend between college graduation going on and a motorcycle gathering. Thanks again Kyle for making up for the shortfalls if the hotel.
Food item from previous guest was left in the inoperable refrigerator. Hotel did quickly get me a working fridge. In addition, the shower stall floor had a grime pattern, and on the second day standing water was left outside the shower after room clean-up. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and cheery. Decor, furnishings and room layout were fine. Excellent breakfast, although not complimentary. Overall, my stay was just fine.
The check-in and check-out process was OK but the personnel were not particularly friendly. The room itself was disappointing. It was very narrow. I was there speaking on business five times and found it not to be very comfortable for relaxing and preparation. For one thing, the space between the bed and the wall was so narrow that it was difficult to even walk in it. They had a tiny hanging drawer/shelf for an end table...and one could hardly put your things on it. There was little space to place luggage or other things.
This hotel is actually very nice and the staff is accommodating. I have stayed here at least 10 times a year for the last few years. They have a real problem with the hot water system here which will keep me from coming back. Last year when I was here the water never got warm, much less hot... which makes for a very chilly shower in the morning. Most other times it seems to take a very long time to get hot water. Today it was cool water again. Brrrrr. Not what I expect from a Marriott. As a frequent traveler to this area, I will be checking out the other area hotels.
This Courtyard is ;located on the east side of Lima, Ohio. Location is great if traveling along I-75 and you need to stop. Parking is very good. Lobby appears updated. Rooms need a little care. Some staff members (daytimers) are outgoing and friendly while others (night) are a little less enthusiastic. This location is surrounded by other hotels (Hampton Inn and others) and several restaurants (Texas Roadhouse, Cracker Barrel, Panera). Cheap gas can be found at Sam's Club within walking distance. Views from one side are of mentioned HI and restaurants. Other side is a car wash. Rooms can be noisy (I-75 traffic and trains). I mentioned rooms need some work. Shower wall had a large crack that was poorly repaired.
My favorite things about this hotel were the speed of service, that the beds here were soft and comfortable, and the shower was easy to use. The soft lighting in the room was elegant. Rooms are spacious. Convenient location. The key system acts up at times. Like 4 times in 2 nights. I kept the cards in the little sleeve with my room number on it, but this didn't help. I have stayed at numerous hotel chains and only at this chain have I been warned to keep my key away from my cell phone. I've stayed at this location and near LAX airport a week apart. Same thing. Now mind you, I've demagnetized keys with my ipad before while I was at the pool at the Elara hotel in Vegas, but this is ridiculous. So that's what I mean when I say don't get caught. Take your photo ID with you when you leave your room. They do verify your name and room number before reissuing the key cards so don't worry about someone walking in on you while you're sleeping. The manager mentioned she had already helped several people whose room keys weren't working the second evening of my stay. Perhaps you enjoy the ding ding of the elevator all night but not me. The elevator wall is shared with the bathroom and head of the bed in room 220. I traded down a king bed (booked weeks ahead of time) for 2 queens while traveling alone on business in order to get a quiet room because they ran out of king sized beds. Front desk staff are polite and helpful. When the toilet backed up, he came up right away with a plunger to the rescue. After watching a couple unsuccessful attempts, I taught him how to use it. What happened to free breakfast? Courtyard has a bistro restaurant with Starbucks coffee for sale and extended hours am and pm. The competitor I usually frequent has a spa tub next to the pool but Courtyard did not. This summer my family stayed at a Courtyard in downtown Salt Lake City and I stayed across the street. They paid more and breakfast was included at both places. There are plenty of hotels in this town to choose from. For the money, I will stay someplace else next time.
Good place to stay. the hotel was clean and quiet. there are lots of food places nearby. nothing negative or exceptional but a good hotel. the staff were nice and helpful. of the hotels nearby i would stay here again. they could update the decor.
