Grand Hotel Bellevue

I was there for 5 days. I arrived and they gave me the room I wanted: high floor with view to Grand Place. Very confortable room, nice size and very clean. Breakfast was enough, with fresh orange juice ( you have to make it yourself ). Delicious cheeses and ham, great bread to choose from. Staff was very kind and polite. Ask them about restaurants ( they will send you local food places ). A place to repeat for sure.

Our room was purchased as a low cost deal, so our room was at the back of the hotel, it was lovely and quiet. The bathroom was marble but it's obviously had hard use as the white silicone sealant/caulk was black in places and the shower changed from hot to cold. The toilet flushed well. There was a kettle in the room but the top just fell off if you were pouring boiling water out of it so we used the one we brought. There was a fridge in the room which worked and i was happy about that. I liked the location of the hotel and the olde worlde charm. The lift/elevator was gorgeous, all glass and see through and it amused me every time I took it. If you are a lift/elevator enthusiast then this is the hotel for you. I would stay there again. Didn't have breakfast as there are so many places around to have breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in giving direction and recommendations. All know the city quite well. The view from the room (ask for a room facing the square) was enchanting. The rooms were comfortable, clean and safe. The hotel is centrally located making it easy to explore this delightful city.

Lille is a great place to spend a few days and this hotel is undoubtedly in a great location although we did struggle to find the front door although that may be an age thing. The room was comfortable with purple walls, many lights and on each night we lay on crisp virgin sheets with more than enough pillows. Front of house were great, check in and check out passed smoothly and the decor of the public areas is undoubtedly charming and full of character. A few days after booking our "room only" option through an online agent the same room was offered on the same website with breakfast included for the price that we had paid for "room only" Unfortunately we were unable to apply this new offer to our booking and had the option of paying 16 euro per person per breakfast or eating elsewhere, which we did.

Great hotel if you want to be in the heart of Lille - excellent location with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants right on your door step. Rooms clean and tidy with helpful and pleasant staff, a must to have a room overlooking the grand place - breakfast plentiful and a good choice.

We recently had a night’s stay in this hotel. Although dated and in need of some refurbishment it is worthy of 4 stars. The location is very good as were the rooms and public areas. They have a DJ in the bar on Saturday nights. Modern music in a quirky atmosphere. The breakfast is also good. I think they should replace the red carpet on the entrance steps. This is one of the first things you see and it needs replacing. We would stay there again.

Our fourth time in Lille and the fourth in this hotel . We always book a room with view of the Grand place its worth the extra money. The hotel has no car park se we us one a few streets away which is underground and very secure. As we use this as our last stop of our european trips we never have breakfast as we leave very early to get the Eurotunnel.

I was a bit worried about this hotel from reading some of the reviews. I lived in Lille ( back in the Eighties--yeah dating myself ) so it is always what I think of when thinking about hotels in Lille. I have to say Lille has changed and I am very proud of it. As it does not have many options for hotels and as I was there for a quick visit decided to stay with this hotel Good decision Again Location can't be beat you are overlooking the Grand Place. Room small but Clean, yeah could use new carpets, but slept like a baby- no noise from the Square Would not recommend breakfast as for 14 Euros can get it at a cafe. Do not know anything about the interior rooms as I stayed in one overlooking the Grand Place but had my small but clean room with marble bathroom also spotless and had a great time. So essentially a good, known, reliable hotel with a Fantastic location which was very clean. No frills like in a 5 star but down the stairs and you have everything one wants in a 5-10 minute walk. Would stay here again

I did a fair bit of research on Lille and where we would most want to spend our time before booking a hotel and it paid off - this hotel and the Grand Place view we had from room 301 was phenomenal! I felt it was very reasonably priced, had a classy, elegant feel throughout and the location was superb in the respect of the Grand Place being a great central hub of the City with lots going on, close to all the other places we were keen to visit (Vieux-Lille and Lille Zoo). It also ended up being the easiest walk from the Eurostar station (about 5 minutes wheeling a suitcase!!). We paid the extra for the breakfast which as I have been accustomed to in Western Europe was a buffet style anglo-continental mix, so lots of choice for us Brits! Staff on the whole were friendly and most spoke good English too. The main question - would we stay here again? Easy answer - if we ever visit Lille again, yes this would be our hotel choice again in a heartbeat!

My daughter and I arrived at The Grand Bellevue Lille an emotional roller coaster trip as I was taking my daughter to stay in Lille . The staff were quite simply amazing and could not do enough to help us . The room a simple twin was very comfortable everything we needed Nice bathroom , fridge and a kettle unusual for France but a welcome sight for Mum ! We spent 3 hectic days shopping finding my daughters property the staff continued to be helpful and I feel my daughter could at anytime walk in the Bellevue and ask for help ! A wonderful old fashioned gem of a hotel so handy for everything near the Metro and plenty places to eat in such a lovely setting , fantastic for the Eurostar highly recommended for other parents making the same trip ! I hope very much to stay again taking my husband and a great help with a difficult task moving excited Uni student ! Many thanks !
