Typical of the high level of presentation and service that we have come to expect from Mecure over the years we have been travelling. Reception staff were extremely helpful. Hotel was conviently located to both of Lille's railway stations.
Nice location, clean and friendly staff. One point taken off for no mini bar treats and a limited room service menu but otherwise great! Close distance to the train station and supermarket and churches and market square.
This hotel is situated in the old part of Lille and is surrounded by fantastic architecture. I was lucky to have a room with French doors and a mini balcony. The views were amazing. Rooms are very modern and have excellent showers. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Great location in the old town, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the all day buffet with delicious quiche, soup and fruit tarts . Only quibbles, paper cups in room for coffee/tea and lift quite small, only takes four people, no problem as I was on second floor but fifth floor would have been difficPerhaps had I not been with a group I wold not have noticed this. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed for 2 nights on the 5th floor and really liked the hotel. Room was very comfortable; TV, kettle, hairdryer, fridge, bathtub - everything you would need in good working order. All well cleaned and in a great central location; just behind the opera but on a small, quiet street. The hotel is 10 minutes from the stations and there are shops, restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away. Breakfast had a good selection and the eating/bar area was comfortable.
The hotel is in a great central location in Lille, about 10 minutes walking from the two large train stations. This hotel seems to offer good value for money, even though the room we had was quite small. The room and bathroom were clean, but especially the bathroom looked like it could do with some maintenance (e.g. bathroom door did not close properly and base of shower looked a bit run-down (was still acceptable though). Staff were all friendly and helpful, which made this a very enjoyable stay. Also (buffet) breakfast was good with a wide selection of beverages and hot and cold food items.
Pros: great location, lovely staff, reasonably priced, great selection of TV channels (I managed to get the Champions League games on BeIN) Cons: tiny room, basic facilities, very limited room service menu I woke up in the middle of the night because of a horrendous smell. I thought it was one of this situations when the air conditioning goes wrong and it pumps out that horrific, worse than rotten egg smell but then the following day I realised there was a terrible sewage smell all around Lille so I'm going to give the hotel the benefit of doubt on that! Value for money wise it's a 4* I think, but as an overall hotel experience it falls just short of that.
Stayed three nights in a first floor single room whilst on a business trip. First of all a massive thumbs up to the location. Just a 15 minute walk from the Eurostar station and right behind The Opera and The Grand Place but on a quiet street so noise wasn't an issue. Dozens of bars and restaurants to be found close by - you won't go hungry or thirsty in a city that feels more like Flanders than France. Talking of food the breakfast was excellent once I worked out where everything was and how to work the coffee machine. All the breads, cereals, juices & fruits one could wish for plus scrambled egg (delicious two days out of three), bacon and sausage. The lack of space would be the only issue. And talking of space, my bedroom was tucked into a corner of the building so the use of the space was rather odd with the bathroom, shower and basin area seemingly bigger than the actual room with the wardrobe area in that bathroom. This was a problem as my unused clothes felt ever so slightly damp. I did sleep well though and would stay there again for pleasure should I be back in the area.
Good, nice and clean hotel in the centre of the city. Well located to start your visit. The hotel is clean, service is friendly, but all as you would expect from this chain of hotels. The breakfast is very good, although everything seems to be placed a bit chaotic. Again, the food was very good. There is no real negative comment for this hotel, but there is nothing expecially good either.
Great location, walking distance from city center. super new and modern. good breakfast, very good service and even has an area for children to play and free coffee and tea. Would go back and recommend
