The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the city centre, the rooms are very big as well as the bathroom supplied with nice amenities. Conveniente Car park@20 euros day. Kind staff. Would definitely stay here again.
On arrival at Couvent des Minimes, we received a very warm reception from Francois and a quick check in. The rooms were very clean, cosy and comfortable beds and generally a very good presentation. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance with very good decor. The customer service was consistent and absolutely amazing! Special thank you to Francois for always going the extra mile and making our stay unforgettable
We stayed here in December for my partners birthday and to visit the Christmas market. We stayed in this hotel as we took our springer spaniel with us and we needed somewhere dog friendly. The hotel is a little outside the main city centre but only a pleasant stroll into the main square and it actually meant it was quiet with a nice grassed area on the water right outside. The rooms are nice and big, with a comfy bed. The bathroom was nice and clean. The rooms are relatively old fashioned but I would expect that in this style of hotel so it fitted. They were fine with us having the dog with us. My one issue would be the parking situation. We travelled over on the channel tunnel with our car and when we arrived at the hotel the car park was full, the lovely man in the reception gave us a map with other car parks in the city marked but they all seemed to be full too! Maybe as we arrived on a Saturday morning, we drove around the city for a while until eventually we found a space on the road which I had to return to a couple of times through the day to top up the parking meter. We didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the quality of the food but the restaurant area looked very impressive. I would certainly stay at this hotel again but I would contact them in advance to see if pre-booking parking is available.
This hotel is more about the aesthetics with a really imposing bar and restaurant situated in the centre of the hotel with a large glass roof. This means that the hotel is very hot when the sun shines and there are many fans dotted around but in sufficient if there are large numbers of guests, particularly when conferences are be held. We made two visits to this hotel, one at the start and one at the end of our European holiday. Our impression on both occasions were that the rooms do not live up to expectation having walked into the reception and seen the lavish looking bar and restaurants. The rooms are tired but comfortable and functional. On our first visit we had a drink in the bar and were dealt with by a very friendly waiter. Our second visit was drank in the bar and ate in the restaurant. The staff did their very best to ignore us. They were not outwardly rude but made efforts to serve others before us, making us feel unwelcome. We also felt that the menu was rather limited and also quite expensive as is breakfast which is in addition to the cost of the room (€19). Perhaps its age and time as the visits were 5 weeks apart, but we felt that the first breakfast was better than the second.
We arle on a road trip, driving a Tesla this means you have to manage charging. This hotel is not online perfectly located, comfortly andbeautifully designed, Theo also have the most friendly and Helpfull staff that went beyond almost unbelievable service level to arrange powerfor us to charge overnight. Than you again and again we Will return anytime Mr. And mrs Engelbrektsson
I have been here during a weeked in Lille. Well done! The hotel is really modern, room are quite big and clean and the bed is confortable. Staff is really nice and the breakfast is huge offering both salty and sugar stuff. No issues arisen during my stay. Well done bravi!
First impressions of this hotel were good. The central common areas were beautifully renovated. The parking very good and central to town. The wifi is good. BUT the rooms on 3rd floor are tired, unbearably hot and frankly a let down. Also the breakfast at €20 on top of the room price is in my opinion expensive. My advice is to stay in an air conditioned Ibis type place and then go for a drink to the hotel to see the inside of the old building - you will sleep better. Our next stay was an Ibis in Colman in a Converted mill which was literally half the price including breakfast and wifi and had AIRCONDITIONING!!
We have stayed at this hotel before as we find it very convenient for the old part of Lille. We always request a room with an outside view as we find these are cooler as some of the rooms do not have A/C. Our room ,on this occasion was on the ground floor and seemed to have been equiped for wheelchair access as it was very spacious and had a large walk in shower. The only problem was the shower was not very warm. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurent in the evening and breakfast next morning was also of a very good standard
Converted convent. Superior level room was not so "superior." The AC didn't work after the first day, fortunately, the weather cooled off at night. Lots of noise from the students who gather by the quay at night, so take a room in the back of the hotel away from the quay. The restaurant was OK, but better off walking to one of the many small cafes and bistros inn the area. The service at the bar was fine and attentive. WiFi free, but very spotty and slow.
We stayed here 2 nights on a Go Ahead Tour for the Vimy Memorial. Room 208. The carpets were filthy. The window had no screen on it. Towels were tiny. These rooms are in bad need of renovation. The Heating thermostat was broken. Poor value!
