Peaceful West Columbia Get-Away

Spacious home in West Columbia comfortable for families and visitors to the area! Very close to the USC campus/stadium, Fort Jackson, Riverbanks zoo and museums. Convenient to amazing dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking gear you need to enjoy a nice meal in your home away from home. One car garage and driveway parking. Home is two levels. The top level holds the three bedrooms and two full baths. The bottom level holds the kitchen, dining area, half bath and living room. The living room contains a full size sofa and smart TV. The back yard is fenced in and has a patio great for relaxing and spending quality time!

The outside of the property was not well kept. We found mounds of dog poop, broken glass, and it looked like a dog had been shaved in the back porch. Inside was clean but the property is extremely run down, sinks in the bathroom and kitchen stopped up, along with the toilets. The rooms only had a see-through curtain but no blinds for privacy.

It was the most unclean environment I have ever stayed in. Dirty carpets, dirty bath mats, broken glass outside, stained couch and chairs. Mildew and mood on washer/dryer. Bedroom TVs didn't work. Master bed mattress was a bean bag- sunk in middle.

Master’s Tournament.

This was a great place for our group of four. We drove from the house to Augusta which was a 1 hour drive. It was convenient to I-20 and had good restaurants nearby. It was a pleasant place to stay.

Last minute cancellation

Property was booked and paid in full in April for our stay in September. Property manager messaged day of check-in to give passcode information. A few hours later (3 hours prior to check-in) I received another message informing us that the property was unavailable and that our reservation had been canceled. No reason was given for the late cancellation. Three families were left trying to find another place to stay for 2 nights in Columbia during Parent’s Weekend. I would not recommend this house or property manager to anyone. Frankly, they shouldn’t be allowed to promote their house on VRBO.
