Rates for rooms at this hotel run about $60 for a week night and about $100 for a weekend. I was told that one night we were there the rate was $129 plus tax. The rooms were not worth the $60. While the room was clean, and the lighting in the parking lot was good, we had several unresolved issues. The first was a TV that had a mind of its own. We would have it shut off, and it would turn itself on. Yes, it would just come on. And frequently, with no one near the remote control, it would just start increasing in volume until it maxed out. The first night I told the desk clerk and she said to unplug it and see if that would reset it. It did for a while, but we got so we had to unplug it at night or when we were leaving. We were there for three nights, on one night we went out to dinner and forgot to unplug it. When we returned to the room, it had turned itself on and was at full blast. (The people in the next room were not pleased.) The hasp on the door that one can use to keep the door from going all the way open when you open it was loose. I tried to tighten it and found that three of the four screws were stripped. I told the desk clerk. Nothing was done. The breakfast was pretty lacking, and there were only three tables (total of 6 chairs) in the breakfast room for the entire hotel. The young lady at the desk in the mornings had no interest in speaking to people or cleaning off the tables when people finished. No customer friendly at all. I had problem with my CPAP as the electrical outlets were so old and worn out that the plug kept falling out of the outlet. I have no plans to stay there ever again.
The girl Jessica was on here cell phone the hole time checking me in and took forever. Once I got to the room it was very dirty and it took forever to get switched to a half way decent room. I would not stay here again.
For any one staying here for UK parents weekend in October, my best advice would be to bring your own bath towels, pillows and blankets. Certainly not the nicest Days Inn, so maybe this one is independently owned? We stayed here at move in and I tried to get another hotel for parents weekend and every thing was sold out. Our room in August smelled old and the towels were like sandpaper, the bedding had cigarette burns. Hoping for a better stay in October. There is really no continental breakfast, so if you are counting on that, don't! Like everyone else, Jessica was great. I hope she is recognized, she might be your only asset!
This hotel was in a good location for my needs for my one night stay. Everything was clean and the desk clerk was friendly and helpful.
Balcony railings were coming loose so be cautious if staying upstairs. Ignore the panhandlers and tell them to move on, let the front desk know so they can have a patrol car cruise the lot
The bed was hard, coffee filter left in coffee pot, light over sink was out, grasshopper in the room, flying insects at night and a large space under the door were insects and other things can get in. Not good for a door that is straight to the outside.
the personel are very efficient in their dealing with customers and conduct themselves very professional and friendly
The people in the office were great. The housekeepers had the room clean but when I asked for 3 towels it was like they couldn't comprehend what 3 meant. I ended up in the office for the 3rd towel. Otherwise the stay was great.
The desk clerk was very friendly and provided information on discounted restaurants and other discounts. The rooms were clean however, the bed could have used a new mattress.
Nice place to stay in my wife's town of birth.JESSICA was super helpful and we found a new Friend! We wish that every hotel we stay at was this nice!!!
