Budget hotel in a good location. The website claims a car park but a call to reception made clear it was very small and not for customers. (Staff use only?) make sure you get your car park ticket checked by reception and the rate is discounted otherwise parking charges are punitive. Not far from the station so use the train if it works for you.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we were in Leicester for a wedding. It was super cheap and had all of the amenities we required. The bed was far too soft for us and I slept on the sofa as a result, but other than that everything was great. Good air con, powerful shower, strong WiFi signal, spotlessly clean and well located. The only snag is the lack of parking, they have a deal with NCP that brings it down from £25 to £11 per 24hr period.

When checking in I was offered a choice of floor, I opted for a higher floor thinking it would be quieter. When I got to my room the key wouldn’t let me in, so back to reception so I went, the receptionist tried the key on the entry door and it worked (I had already done this) suggested I might have wiped my key with my phone. When checking the system she had me in a different room to the one she had written 5 mins before. This problem seemed to rear itself again when it came to check out as they didn’t recognise my name against the room I actually stayed in. The room itself was basic but comfortable, I was unnerved to find the joining door to the next room was unlocked - luckily I had the lock on my side so locked it myself but this concerned me. There was loud noise outside until the early hours, but this didn’t stop me having a good night sleep, bed was comfortable and shower powerful - overall a good stay and about the right value for the price paid.

I was attracted by the Ramada brand and the “reassuringly expensive” price that I paid for my room. However, I hadn’t realised until checking in that the standard of the hotel is firmly in the ‘budget’ category. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the price should reflect quality in my opinion. My allocated room was clean, but basic. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but filling. I also used the gym, and this was fine for a cardio workout. I won’t be staying again at the hotel, simply because the price is high compared to other hotels nearby which charge less for a better experience.

Great value staff very helpful breakfast fab. There was lovely atmosphere in bar which was quite busy. I unfortunately left my jewellery Leon the manager straight away found the jewellery and posted it too me he was very professional and nothing was too much trouble. We had 2 rooms and we were all pleased with hotel and would stay again.

I had to stay here as the Premier Inn was fully booked and I can honestly say that for that at almost twice the price, it offers nothing more. The room is basic, clean, but has a corporate vibe with a meagre 4 sachets of Nescafe, certainly not what you’d expect for £165 for a night. The website says ‘onsite parking’ but there isn't, its an expensive NCP car park which is difficult to find if youre not familiar with Leicester and there’s no clarity on the website where it is, or that it’s actually not hotel parking. The staff are very snooty and joyless, not one has smiled or given any warmth in any of my dealings with them from check-in, to drinks at the bar, to breakfast. I feel ripped off and certainly wont stay here again.

The hotel staff were very unhelpful and put up long face. We asked for hairdryer and the staff kept on saying there was one in the room. We told them there wasn’t and they didn’t believe so we asked them to come into the room to check. After checking (walking around the room with his shoes on), the guy just said coldly “Okay” then left the room. The room key never really worked and had to reset everyday. It was also noisy at night as the hotel is facing a busy street and affected our sleep. Will not stay there ever again and definitely will not recommend for friends.

Spent a night here after a night in Leicester what a great hotel, room was big clean and breakfast was great, will definitely stay again, payed for parking at hotel was so worth 20 pound and would definitely do it again

Efficient and friendly throughout. Definitely a place to consider. However, I had expected that there was on-site parking as on the website, but then we were directed to the local public parking space, which was very expensive, and with a concession to reduce the price, but still too expensive. Recommend that they offer that public parking at 5 pounds rather than 11 pounds for the day, which is still far down from the 25 pounds per day normal. Breakfast was good and sufficient variety. Bedroom was good, although bed a little soft for me - I prefer a harder mattress normally. TV did not work at all, but I could not be bothered to call to get this fixed.

Spent one night here in room 113. Check in and out was fast and efficient. The hotel is in a good location - not far from the station and local restaurants - and there's a reasonable choice at breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. Only drawbacks were that room 113 was directly above the garage, which meant that from 5am I was regularly woken up by the sound of the metal doors opening and closing and there was no bath (not a problem for a one night business stay, but the floor got quite wet from the open shower tray).
