So we do travel a lot with our dogs and we do stay at a LOT of pet-friendly hotels. So we get kinda picky about the places we choose to stay. I liked that there is a nice floral display upon exit at the elevator. Very classy! The Candlewood Suites was a nice respite from a busy day and loved that we could do much needed laundry for free! For longer stays the full kitchen has all that you would need and for our brief overnight, we did enjoy the full fridge and ice maker along with stove and dishes. The gym was large and heavily used the night of our stay. There is an outdoor patio area with BBQ for guests use. Nice and neat and clean, thank you for taking extra care for weary travelers and their dogs.
The hotel and staff were great! I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my daughter's graduation form Basic Training. There are so many food options close to the hotel and most are very good. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so helpful and attentive to my needs. I will definitely stay there if in Lawton again.
I always will stay at a Candlewood if possible. My stay here was great the staff was so helpful. If I needed any help they were quick and nice to help. The price was reasonable. For families they had movies and appliances you could rent out. The rooms were very nice and well kept.
The hotel staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The Location was great right next to many food options. The only thing I would have liked that they didn't have is a pool and breakfast in the morning. Although there are many breakfast places near by so it was still not an issue. Overall great hotel for the money.
I ended up here unexpectedly during bad weather. I wasnt expecting much, but was very satisfied. No parties were going on, no pets and no noise. they also give you a proper size bottle of shampoo and soap. I would stay at again. an excellent value. also close to food and shopping.
I spent 3 weeks here and the rooms were very decent and spacy. Had all the needs I required for long stay. Gym was better than most hotels and laundry machines were free. The gym and laundry rooms though tended to suffer from a lack of regular cleaning. The waste basket seemed to stay filled and in the gym the floors seemed to accumulate trash on the floor and during the first week there were towels on a stand but after that they were not refilled. There is a regular gym just a block or so from the hotel and would think it could be beneficial if the hotel perhaps purchased a membership that would allow the guest to use the gym. Be a nice amenity. For the most part I was happy with everything but staying 3 weeks you notice little things like the parking lot could be cleaned up and the public areas like the halls and lobby could use more regular cleaning. The staff was very helpful and busy. I think they may be slightly understaffed.
I must say the staff here were very friendly and helpful. Came here at Thanksgiving to see my son at Fort Sill. It is only a 10-15 drive and easy to get to. The stove needed a little better cleaning as did the dishes, (found cup dirty). But, other than that the room was great to hang out in. Beds comfortable.
This place is just ok. Check in time was suppose to be at 3pm. We arrived at 530pm and rooms still weren't ready yet. The front desk guy told us it was because they were short staffed on house keeping this weekend. While we were standing there I could hear some of the cleaning staff complaining about needing a smoke break. We finally got in the room about 615pm. The rooms are big and have all the essential items to stay a long time. Fridge, stove etc. The room was relatively clean. Except the floor of the bathroom. See picture. Grout is pitch black while it use to be brown. Pretty gross.
We got in around 11:30 pm. My fiancé and I were beat, we were greeted by the counter person; he was extremely friendly. We were talking about things to do in the area he was very knowledgeable about the local area and suggested a couple things to check out warned us about a couple restaurants to avoid and some of the good ones and he also gave us some coupons. He was right about the place he suggested... we only had a little down time but we went to Mt. Scott, and that was amazing I am so glad he made the suggestion. the view would've been something I would've regretted not seeing. The room we had was great very clean looked like everything in it was new. The beds were extremely comfortable and helped deal with the jet lagg.
If you are familiar with this level of long term stay hotel, you expect a no frills place to crash and fix light meals. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was maintained well EXCEPT for the very long, at least a month, of uncut grass. They then did finally cut it after 4 days but not again for the ~1.5 additional weeks we stayed. One weekend the hotel was populated by a very poorly behaved 'car club' which included some employees of the hotel. After reporting this to the manager the following Monday, I did received a $10/night discount for FOUR of the 15 nights I stayed and some bonus points. Personally, I might have fired the two employees who decided it was OK to disrespect every guest in that hotel by allowing their 'friends' to use their work establishment as their own personal Sodom and Gomorrah. Don't know what, if anything, they did for all the remaining guests who put up with these low-lives partying until 7am the following morning while breaking glass bottles and playing foul music. Let's not forget that there are families staying here with their children. If you ever see a bunch of Dodge cars pulling in for a weekend, put the police on speed dial.
