laussane doesnt seem to have the big name hotels.. but that doesnt seem to matter with nice hotels like the agora. The hotel is very close to the train station and the tram . The break fast is nice and hot and with a great view. There is no restaurant in the hotel and no room service.. but there is a nice restaurant just next to it. All in all a nice place to stay
Very modern hotel Nice and comfortable room Good equipment in the room Clean and quiet Empathic and professional staff Good location for tourism in Lausanne Fantastic view from breakfast room A lot of different bedrooms: asks for room from 4th floor and higher Discount on station public car parking at reception on request A bit expensive depending on the demand
Great location. Near central station Lausanne and metro stations. Nice staff. Always ready to help. Nice rooms but for a 4 stars i was expecting something a bit different. Anyway i would still go back to it. Breakfast was also good.
The hotel is situated close to the city Centre. Has a private parking with a car elevator (sweet) and a stunning view from the breakfast lounge. Rooms are well designed and clean with good beds. The price (for Swiss) is reasonable. Close to the hotel are coffee bars and restaurants.
Agora is near the lausanne gare station, but the best way to go there by metro "grancy" for the first time traveller. Breakfast has many choices with many fruit selections. On floor 9th, breakfast room has a spectacular view with unique design. Only the carpet floor i did not like. Room is small and clean.
The hotel is what you see in the photos, that doesn’t always happen. Clean, nice staff and good location halfway from the center and the Lake. Very close to the Station, you can walk anywhere. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. It’s a modern hotel that is good value for Lausanne.
The hotel is situated in a semi-central location in Lausanne a few meters away from a metro station. Rooms are quite large and modern. The bath in our room was divided in three separate mini-rooms (shower, toilet and sink) which was kinda funny. Room was kept clean properly. Breakfast room was on the 9th floor with an impressive view of the lake. Food choice was sufficient, but one would expect more (wider cheese variety for example). The staff was a bit out of tune, asking for advance payment of the taxes from our 30 people tourist group at eleven at night. All and all a good choice, despite a few bad moments here and there.
My wife and I spent two nights at the end of March in this hotel. About one year ago I spent two nights in the same hotel in Zurich and I was satisfied . The location of hotel is very good near to metro, station ,train station and down town. The hotel is quiet with Switzerland ambiance especially the lobby is very pleasant . The breakfast is very good. The staff speaks english and are friendly. Generally the price for switzerland was reasonable. If there is vacancy they upgrade your room.
Spent 3 nights, but upon arrival they told me i was getting a nice room on the 2nd floor. As arrived late thought that was ok, until 11pm when discovered the 2nd floor was literally under the reception and every new guest woke me up throughout the night! Hotel was very empty but they choose to give me the worst possible room, with a basement view! Simply amateurish, and will never ever go again and would not reccomend. Inexpensive but thats about it!
I made my reservation for a two nights stay by telephone and agreed on a price of CHF 192.-- per night including breakfast. However, when my wife and I showed up, the unfriendly male receptionist mentioned that breakfast was not included. Of course I insisted that on the telephone we had agreed otherwise - but unfortunately I could not proof it. I did not ask for a mail confirmation as in Switzerland normally a word is word. Not so for this hotel - just by coincidence the person I spoke with on the telephone was off work during the days we stayed at the hotel. So I ended up paying for breakfast. This incidence left an unpleasant aftertaste for what otherwise could have been a trouble-free stay.
