Just a 15-minute walk away is Launceston's own piece of wilderness, the Cataract Gorge. Explore, swim, or ride the chairlift over a massive river basin. Also within walking distance are UTAS stadium, theatres, city park, Junction Festival, and dAda mUse, a surrealist art museum home to Australia's largest collection of Salvador Dali works on paper. Head back to the apartment to rest with a book and cuppa soaking up the history of the space, once owned in the 1800s by a bookbinder with a love for the theatre.
