This hotel is situated in a beautiful beach front location. As a result this makes for excellent views of the sea from the hotel if given a sea view room on arrival. The room is spacious and very modern. The beds are slightly uncomfortable however, they are clean and tidy and they are what you expect from a 4* hotel. There are 3 pools within the hotel grounds. 1 heated and 2 non heated pools. The heated pool is the smallest of all three, however as we visited in April the other 2 pools could be used but they were a little chilly to get in. The pools were clean and the pool area was cleaned every day by the hotel staff. There were plenty of sunbeds to go around and we certainly didn’t have any problems with people reserving them. However I expect at certain times of the year this could become a problem (school holidays) The palm trees around the pool area also enhanced the hotels location and setting. The hotel is roughly 15 minutes walk to the airport. This walk is good as you are able to see the planes land and take off from the runway. However with that being said you can see them land from your sunbed. But this did not bother us as they were certainly not disruptive throughout our stay. As well as this, the airport is a €10 taxi ride if you would prefer to use this rather than the buses during your transfers to and from the airport. The hotel is also a 30/45 minute walk into Puerto Del Carmen. This walk is nice and flat. However there are a variety of shops and restaurants situated in Matagorda if needed during your stay. These are situated to the right and left of the hotel. The drinks are of good quality in the hotel for both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. The food is also of good quality in the restaurant. There is always a wide variety of food available during breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also show cooking. The staff are polite within the restaurant. The entertainment in the hotel is adequate. There is an animation team on site for both adults and children. However we often saw the same activities bike riding / aqua gym. There is also nightly entertainment available in the bar. The WiFi coverage throughout the hotel is really good. You can use the WiFi in your room and at the pool area. However, make sure you use the right username and password which is on the tv and not on your leaflet as there appears to be a mistake. Overall the hotel is a 3* plus /4* resort, however with minor tweaks it could be a hotel of a much higher 4* standard. A lick of paint on the building, a greeting at the main restaurant by a member of staff and a few tiles / mosaic tiles around the pool being replaced due to missing / broken tiles would enhance the general appearance of the resort. However with that being said we had a good stay at this resort and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quick and relaxing getaway in the sun.

Just the same as the all inclusive hotels I have stayed in with BeLive, Barcelo, Bluebay etc. - I was hoping for more to be honest. Nothing wrong with the food but it was just so predictable and more school dinner cooking than a proper restaurant - paella, pizza, pasta, grilled meats, salad bar and a couple of stews every night...and exactly the same for lunch. Just very uninspiring after 5 or 6 meals and you will soon be eating out instead. Omelettes fine at breakfast but hot dog sausages and fatty bacon always put me off a hotel. Drinks were also disappointing - low quality and cocktails watered down. I was expecting branded drinks but (despite this place not being cheap) you had to pay a supplement to get those. Very difficult to get a sunbed on a sunny day with people leaving towels on at 8am (never to return) and middle pool very busy as the other two are absolutely freezing. I don't want to sound too negative though - the family room we stayed in was modern and spacious.with an amazing sea view. The beach and hotel grounds are stunning to look at from your balcony and made the holiday for me. If we'd had a room at the back overlooking the building site then I would have been gutted. Overall the kids had a great time and the hotel is fine...just nothing special.

The hotel is beautifully located opposite the beach. There is a long, flat promenade that is great for a stroll throughout the day. The hotel itself is clean, has friendly staff and good facilities. We found the food to be fine temperature wise although a bit repetitive but I do feel this is to be expected in all inclusive. There is a variety of alcoholic drinks. Some of the cocktails are not great as they’re pre mixed. We found the mojitos the best. The room is clean with a daily maid service. We upgraded to a sea view which I would def recommend. The reason that this hotel is not a five star for us is because the beds are uncomfortable therefore it’s difficult to have a good nights sleep. This is a shame as I think you expect better in a four star hotel. Also, the rooms are rather warm at night and the air con is not available until July and August. It can, once again, make sleeping uncomfortable.

Overall good hotel. We stayed 5-15th April and unfortunately the weather wasn’t great! Very windy, chilly at night. Pros: Good location, on beach and 10 mins from airport. Lovely family room with sea view. Huge bathroom. Good choice of food available in restaurant. Snack bar, food good. All drinks available to self serve at all times. Soft drinks, beer, sparkling wine etc. Entertainment team FANTASTIC! All staff friendly and welcoming. Lots of good evening entertainment, especially loved Mama Mia! All areas very clean, pool area / snack bar area floors bleached every morning. Cons: Wasn’t happy paying €20 euros per pool towel on arrival! If you wanted your towel changed during your stay this was an additional €1 per towel! Take your own! Didn’t like the fact that the cocktails were pre made in jugs! Tasted very watering /sugary! Would have loved a freshly made cocktail! Gym could have had more equipment, very basic. Good entertainment for younger children but unfortunately nothing for teens. OVERALL A GOOD HOLIDAY.

This is a wonderfully located hotel and the all inclusive service is to be recommended. Good pool complex and a few metres from the beach. The promenade walks take you to supermarkets and have a host of different cycle and pedal based hire possibilities

Stayed for 5 nights with friends and family with 3 kids. Kids lived swimming area, evening entertainment and play area. Staff was very helpful and smiling all the time. Food and water bottles available mostly all the time. Plenty of food choices (not if you are vegetarian !!). Overall very good experience..

We went to this hotel in May last year and had a great time - great food and branded spirits - both high on list of reasons to return to the hotel. However, very disappointed with the food this year, even trays of fresh food brought out from the kitchen were only warm at best - how can fresh food not be hot???? The only way of having HOT food was to eat the food cooked on the hot plates while you wanted. Last year on the buffet we had fresh cooked king prawns in the shell, none seen this year. We also had the most delicious lamb shanks, none this year. At breakfast last year there was smoked salmon, again none this year. So all in all the food was disappointing. I don't want to microwave food that has been kept warm on a buffet, not ideal from a food hygiene point either! You can no longer get branded spirits on the All Inclusive package, you have to upgrade at a price of €25 a day!!! Really!!! This year we took our son with us, a put me up bed as added to the room which made it pretty cramped for 3. For these reasons we won't be returning to Sol Lanzarote which is such a shame as we love the location and beach area. A pretty expensive holiday by the time we returned after eating out on numerous occasions to avoid the buffet offerings. Why the changes Sol Lanzarote????

Do not expect a good night's sleep, the beds are sooooooooo uncomfortable. They have springs that go across them with very little padding so could feel them all the time, ended up with sore hips each morning, so got very little sleep. When I mentioned it to the reception was told that all the beds are the same, and offered to but blankets under the sheets to try to alleviate the problem, which they did but didn't make much difference. The rooms were pleasant enough with plenty of room and bathrooms were large and clean. The restaurant left something to be desired, overcrowded and very cramped. The food was only tepid never hot, not a bad selection but very little choice in respect of potatoes, chips or other fried concoctions no new potatoes, mashed or roasted, so hubby wasn't too happy. Found several of the staff in the restaurant quite rude, barging passed or bumping into you whilst at your table. The pool side bar/cafe wasn't too brilliant as the food was pre-cooked and left in the servery, so again not very fresh or hot, I'm used to having it cooked when ordered in previous hotels of this rating. Agree with the comments of mayson172 in respect of no monitoring of the self service drinks. The area was nice and pools were clean which my grand-daughter thoroughly enjoyed, although the life-guard sat poolside not on the raised seating so could not monitor one of the pools from his view point. The landings are open to the elements not enclosed so it's like walking through a wind tunnel at times.

Nice hotel nice staff but the bed is just the worst. Could not sleep for the week. I like a hard bed but this was like sleeping on floor. We did complain and staff said they would put a topper on mattress what went on was no topper but protector. I expect that was just as well as it protected the mattress from our tears from the pain of sleeping on it. I do not joke.

We spent a lovely week in this hotel with our daughter and two young grandsons. My request for adjacent rooms from which we could watch the planes coming in to land was granted and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large and comfortable, the pool area beautiful and well maintained (no problems with sun beds!) and the location perfect (through the gate, across the cycle path and onto the beach). The food was plentiful, good quality and a wide variety. Although the drinks were 'on-tap' they were drinkable,we've certainly had far worse! Unfortunately the entertainment area is small for the size of hotel, so ensuring a seat meant a long wait. This is a great hotel for a family holiday and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
