Mike & Anne's holiday review We had a very good holiday as we have never been to this location before and was very pleasantly surprised. The location of the hotel was really good as we had plenty of places to see ie marina and harbour and plenty of cafes and to visit. All together we were very pleased with our choice of place and hotel.

no kettle without deposit and charge to use, mini bar filled every 2 days, why not every day, towel deposit and then pay to change, .having paid for all inclusive deluxe did not expect to have to pay for these services including safe and coffee machine pods.

If I say we have booked this hotel again, it tells you what we thought of it. From booking in to checking out the whole experience was great. We were allocated a second floor room with a sea view (not sure but I think all rooms have a sea view.) Good outdoor pool which is heated and there is an indoor pool which we didn't use. Good selection of food for lunch and evening dinner. The two bars on site served quality spirits and lagers. The whole site was spotlessly clean, rooms and around the pools especially. Off site, it's a five minute stroll to the marina (Markets on Wednesday and Saturday) and a ten minute walk to the town. Taxi will cost you five euros. We have booked to return in January, which I think tells you what we think of it!

It's the third time we have stayed here. I would say it's the best place in Playa Blanca to stay. It's amazingly clean, great staff, fab location for Blanca and Rubicon on the nice little beach. The place is airy and pleasant. We go deLux as an option to use the 🌋 restaurant. We love love it x

Once again, we spent a lovely relaxing week at Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada, Lanzarote. The hotel is in its own spacious grounds with pools, restaurants and seating areas and a short stroll from the beautiful Marina Rubicon and also from the centre of town as well as opposite the glorious beach of Playa Dorada. The hotel staff are friendly and courteous and the reception staff in particular are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean and spacious and it is definitely worth paying extra for a balcony and the wonderful sea views. The main restaurant caters for all dietary requirements and the food is of a high standard, varied and plentiful. Will we visit this hotel again? Absolutely!

Location great rooms very good.pool area very nice 👍 very clean only drawback was food not great and check in and check out were extremely slow. Staff spent too long chatting to Spanish guests. 45 mins to check in with only 2 guests in front of us.

We love the location. Walk straight out the back of the hotel on to a promenade, away from all traffic- excluding the increasing numbers of bikes. Walk for miles in either direction, great views of the sea with the coming/going of the ferry boat. We love it, so peaceful yet close to all amenities. There is a local beach or sanded area within the hotel for beach lovers. Great pools, back & front depending on how noisy you want it. Great variety of food- something for everyone, even if some things aren't to your taste.

As a solo traveler I was a little apprehensive but with plenty to do during the day as it wasn’t too hot then lots of live music in the bars on an evening I was made up. The food was varied and plentiful. I wanted b&b but that wasn’t an option when I booked but others were on b&b and ventured out to dine. 8/10

Hotel great location on the beach. Hotel clean all areas Staff very helpful and friendly. Food not very good same everyday not much choices for a 4*. Need to invest in new toasters and you had to the bread through 4 times before cooked. Having a deluxe area for guests made you feel inferior

The hotel is clean and tidy and room was always clean, our room had a brilliant view. I booked deluxe and there was only a couple of differences - free access to gym (which my husband loved), bathrobes and slippers in the room, having food cooked while you waited apart from that I couldn’t see any difference. There was plenty options to eat. Some of the staff could be quite abrupt. We did have a difficult book in it took nearly an hour but the reception staff were very good, there is 2 reception desks but the queues were the same at both so more staff could of been helpful. Yes there is only 2 english tv stations but if you have gone on holiday to watch tv then you are missing a lovely island and opportunity to see a different way of life. My main complaints are towels still being put on sun loungers and left for hours before anyone sat down and men wearing shorts at dinner even though there is a sign on the door and it is on the hotel information, I even saw a man with Nike track suit bottoms on. If the hotel wants to be high standards these things need to be sorted out. We did have an enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel if asked by anyone.
