Everything was perfect once again! Second time staying here and hopefully not the last! Margo is very responsive. The beautiful views are bar none. Well equipped kitchen in which we prepared amazing meals and we watched a great Jays game!

Cottage was lovely and clean inside but you could tell upgrades are needed. Shower had no water pressure. Our only real issue with property was that outside area as needs significant cleanup- spiders and webs everywhere prevented us from enjoying outside after dusk.

Far from a “shack”! lol. The four of us girlfriends had such a wonderful time for our little get away. We rarely left the house as it was just perfect to relax and enjoy the nature and tranquility. The house is so well equipped. Beds were comfy. Margo was helpful and responsive. Would not hesitate to recommend to others and book again!

We will be back…again

Staying at the Riverside Cottage is like a step into the life you wish you could live year round. It has everything you could possibly want or need. The views are stunning and kayaking there is one of my favourite parts of the summer. Margo is a welcoming host. We will be back again!

Returning visitors. After a week touring the wonders of Canada, the cottage was an instant wind down. Such a lovely place to unwind, relax and enjoy the tranquility of surrounding nature. Thank you Margo - till next time.

A simply wonderful retreat!

The Riverside Shack was anything but a shack! Everything was as advertised with accurate pictures. Beds were comfy and washrooms were very nice and well stocked with towels etc. We enjoyed the wildlife on the river while sitting on the patio and deck as well as while kayaking in the river. Beautiful beach and friendly people added to our enjoyment. Margo and Johnny were a lovely couple to communicate with. Will be very happy to return!

Beautiful cottage in a great location. Was able to leave 2 seadoos tied to the dock connected to the property. Very convenient all weekend long! Awesome sunsets aswell!

Great May stay at riverside shack

We had an amazing time at the Riverside shack. The property is gorgeous, well decorated and well maintained. We loved the outside deck and spent hours with the binoculars watching the heron and various birds in the river. I took the kayak out several times. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances, dishes, pots and pans. I would stay here again.

Beautiful cottage

This was a beautiful cottage on the canal that we all found so peaceful and comfortable. The interior of the cottage was very sheik and clean. Lots of space for the 7 of us to stay for a week. Close jaunt to the beach or we could lounge beside the canal on the large deck and enjoy the boats passing by. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you riverside shack!

Great location with great views

My family and I recently stayed and loved the house. The views were great and we wished we could have had a few more days to really enjoy the water. Margo was a great communicator and even mailed an item left behind. Great place to stay!

Great getaway

We had a great stay at this cottage on the river. We enjoyed the large kitchen and were able to cook an entire thanksgiving dinner for the five us there. We enjoyed walks down to the beach, sitting on the dock in the sun, and hiking in the nearby trails. The cottage was clean , the beds were comfy and it was a great place to relax and watch the sunset with a glass of wine.

Wonderful place and location

The sunset and the view are amazing, the kayaks very entertaining, and the host extremely welcoming, flexible and helpful. The kids had a lot of fun fishing, swimming and kayaking. The cottage is beautiful and has almost everything you can think of in case you forget something. We only spent 4 days there but we will be coming back for sure.

Family week away

The property and amenities were great overall. The owners were amazing in all aspects and very responsive. The area is a little tough with young ones as the water was very dirty and a lot of passing boats close by which we didn’t realize. After talking to neighbours it sounds like the water was so poor because of all the rain this season. We also woke up one morning and the outside of the home was swarmed with mayflies which the owners did mention when we arrived and said it was unlikely to happen but unfortunately it did. Otherwise the home was as picture and clean with very comfy beds.

Sibling Reunion

My sisters all enjoy paddle boarding so along with the kayaks, it made for a perfect time together. Margo was terrific to deal with... the property is a true gem. Thank you for a great place to make new memories!
