Terrible service. Room was discussing and there was no light bulbs in the room. Couldnt even get a refund.
Bathroom looked and smelled like it had not been cleaned for 2 weeks. I used the only set of towels to make it good enough to use. Not worth booking a cheap room if you are too scared to sleep in the bed!
I cannot believe that Westmont Inn in Lakeland, FL is even on your list of places to stay. This was the WORST place I have ever been directed to. The name should read Westmont Inn and U-Haul Truck Rental. When we first arrived the two people manning the desk said we would have to wait because they were checking in a U-Haul. Then we were assigned a "smoking room" so I asked to be moved to a "Non-smoking room" and this caused great confusion. When they finally found us the non-smoking room, one of the ladies came from behind the counter with a can of odor remover spray and suggested we buy on from Walgreen's and keep in our car. When we finally got to the room, it reeked of cigarettes. So we had to borrow their spray. The employees were not professional in their dress, attitude, phone calls or the handling of customers.
The room left something to be desired. It looked as though nothing had been dusted, ever. The floor in the bathroom wasn't clean. The mini fridge smelled of something awful. There were stains on the sheets. The front desk refused to change our room after we found out we would be on the second floor. With two small children and luggage the last thing we wanted to do was navigate stairs. The woman at the desk couldn't have cared less. If you're looking for a quiet nights rest this is not the place. It is quite literally located only feet away from a very busy highway.
We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. I booked two rooms one was a handi cap room which was not suitable for a wheelchair. We had to move the bed and table for it to fit. The second room was horrible. The toilet ran all night. The sink was stopped up, there was scum in the shower. The refrigerator didnt work.the phones had promblems as well. The air conditioner kept cutting off. The owners were ther for check out and were extremely rude and did not care that we had concerns. This is one hotel that i would steer clear of!
