Stayed 2 nights in this hotel to visit lake Titicaca. Good location right on the edge of the lake with great view. The hotel deco is dated and require refurbished and redecorating We have booked a superior room with a queen size double bed but instead given a standard room with 2 normal size double beds for 4 person. On query at the reception we were told the hotel is full and they will move us the next day, which we decline as we were out the whole day. Most disappointing with the hotel not giving us a room we have booked and paid for! Had breakfast and dinners on both days. Good range of food provided and well served Enjoyed our stay but will not recommend
Hotel was lovely, perfect for our stay in Puna. Hotel is located out of the main city area, we never ventured out due to the long day excursions we had so cant comment about whats close by but appear to be a 10 minute drive to the main attractions and centre. Hotel very accomdating, we needed oxygen due to altuide and always willing to provide it when needed. The room was slighly dated inside but very clean so not a problem. They did not provide complimatary bottled water unlike other hotels in Peru but you could buy it from there at a fair price. Beds were comfty and shower was nice. Hotel overlooked the lake which was great to see when staying there. Hotel provided heaters which were needed due to it being cold there. Restaurant was fairly priced seeing as you didnt have much choice but to eat there. Gave local and Western options to choose from. Breakfasts was really good as well with lots of choices. Staff extremely polite, helpful and spoke English which is a bonus. Would stay again.
Hotel was nice - felt like we were in a more American style hotel than other places we stayed in Peru. Rooms were fine, but did feel a little dated. The shower pressure was amazing - best shower I had in Peru. The grounds were nice enough - guinea pigs running around all day and alpacas out in the mornings. The restaurant was nice and prices were pretty normal. Food was good. The front desk staff was a little rude. When I checked out, I gave her a paper from the mini bar showing what we had taken. She told me that housekeeping keeps track of this. I explained that we only stayed one night, so housekeeping hadn’t been in our room. She seemed really annoyed about this and then took the form I filled out and copied it onto another sheet of the same form and filled it out the same way I had - not sure what the point of that was. And I would think she’d appreciate my honesty (they didn’t have my credit card on file, so I could have just not paid for the items). Finally, even though they had my passport and knew I was American, they added on the 18% Peruvian tax to everything purchased at the checkout. I had to ask to have this removed, which is a little annoying since they already knew it doesn’t apply to me. She took it off for food but not alcoholic drinks because “that’s the law” - not sure if that is true or not, but it wasn’t worth the argument at that point.
Great location overlooking lake, no lift but there are only 2 floors. In the grounds you see wild guinea pigs running round, Hotel is out of town so you have to eat there of get a taxi. Food and service were good was very nice and reasonably priced, breakfast was included and also very good. Room in first floor had great lake views, was a good size. Hotel service very good.
We had a good visit here and enjoyed the great view overlooking the lake. The food was not so good however and we did not like the way taxes were added on to the bill so what you think you are going to pay is not the reality so take care! The room was fine and staff helpful.
The only thing issues with this hotel are no lift but there are only 2 floors so not that big a deal and it is out of town a bit so you are a bit stuck with having dinner there unless you want to chance a taxi. Having said that the food was very nice and not too badly priced, breakfast was included and also very nice, overlooking the lake with a bit of entertainment in the form of the local guinea pigs running around on the lawn. We found the room and service very good.
What a great way to finish off our trip to Peru. Fabulous staff, rooms, food and cocktails 🍹. Was quite unexpected how great this hotel was. But, we were grateful for for the reprieve after a gruelling few days in the Inca trail. Highly recommend staying here if you’re heading to Lake Titicaca for a couple of days.
We stayed 2 nights at Sonesta Posadas del Inca and were quite disappointed about the type of service we received. 1.)We were sent a taxi driver from the only company this hotel work with - Taxi Delfines - who was completely terrible. Not only was he not complying with any speed limit, but also the car was in a poor state and didn’t even have seatbelts. When we told so to the receptionist, she said it was fine if only the passenger in front had a seatbelt. She thought the ones in the back didn’t needed. We almost crashed once with a car coming in front of us because of the careless attitude of our driver. 2.) They doubled the price of our water over night from S. 10 to S. 20 since we consumed one the day before and they saw the opportunity to make some money 3.) Our taxi towards the bus station was 15 minutes late, the receptionist didn’t even explain to us why... just said we had to wait. I would not recommend staying there.
Great place to relax on the lake. The rooms were clean and warm. The service was very good. The food was great and not expensive. There is a nice garden area and places to sit overlooking the lake. The hotel organised a trip to the floating islands for us, we were met at the hotel and just walked to the jetty at the back of the hotel to board the boat. Would recommend this hotel to friends
This Puno property on the shores of Lake Titicaca leaves a lot to be desired. It’s an ugly building way out of town so you’re in there pocket so to speak. The hotel restaurant is mediocre and the first night I was there it was full of smoke due to a blocked fireplace I suppose. The noise level was unreal. This hotel claims four stars. Hmmm then McDonalds is fine dining.
