Casa Andina Premium Puno4.0 out of 5.0

Stayed here for 2 nights the hotel has excellent outlook over the lake but is a taxi ride from centre of Puno, only a couple of pounds though. There was a strong sewerage smell outside but inside was fine, rooms were okay, clean & tidy, we had to move after being given a room directly over the kitchen so were woken at 4am by staff banging about. Meals & breakfast were good standard & staff fine.
Lovely hotel, great food, service and a comfortable room. Fantastic view over Puno as the sun sets. Wedding proposal on the balcony topped off our stay perfectly. Easy access to the bay and the Islands. Great day trip to the reed Island People. Friendly and welcoming people.
We had a great experience at Casa Andina! We had a lake view and it was so beautiful to wake up to each morning. The restaurant had good food for a fairly reasonable price (although not cheap). The hotel is a bit outside of town so a taxi is necessary but it was nice to escape the city. The staff were helpful and arranged for a taxi to the airport. The rooms were very clean and the shower was great. Would highly recommend especially for the price!
I enjoyed my stay at the Casa Andina Premium Puno. It was a lovely place especially as a treat/rest from hostels. It is a fair way out of town though so you do need to take a taxi. One there, everything was great
The first good hotel we had stayed in in Peru. The Casa Adina was classy and fresh. It gave us a place that we wanted to go back to to relax. Central to resturants and shopping centres, it offers convenience as well. Then theres the service. The best so far. Friendly and tborough.
This hotel commands great views of Lake Titicaca and is just far enough away from the city centre of Puno so is very quiet and relaxing. The staff are excellent and always willing to help. The rooms are fairly spacious with views of the lake and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed here for 2 nights and ate dinner there on one occasion. The food was not the best.. My wife had the salmon which was bland but that didn't dampen our experience at this hotel. There are many great eateries in Puno and the reception staff will gladly organise a return taxi service for you at minimal cost (approx 20 soles return).
The reception personnel were excellent. Hotel was nicely appointed though the noise level in the room was excessive. A train runs very close to the lower level of rooms. Not the best area to walk, but then few other places are that particularly appealing. A large tour group can monopolize breakfast. They do not provide free bottled water, but offer a welcome coca tea. The area is fairly high in elevation.
Although far from Puno center, this hotel provides an excellent view on the lake.the personnel is friendly an well attentionned both at reception and in restaurant. It is an excellent choice for vacations.
Stayed here two nights before / after seeing the floating islands. Hotel is right on the lake shore and apparently is much nicer than any of the hotels that are in the city centre away from the lake. It is very smart and clean and the breakfast buffet is really good. Excellent evening meal both nights; restaurateur also has a cosy open fire as the evenings can get chilly.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and found little or nothing to complain about and plenty to applaud. Our room was very large, 'L' shaped and on the end of the hotel. It did have 3 king beds although we didn't need all 3. But the extra bed and shape of the room meant lots of space. We didn't pay the extra for a lake view but were lucky on being on the right side of the hotel to be able to partially see the lake. Service was very good and everything spotless. Friends whose room faced out onto the road side of the hotel did not have a good view and were kept awake by barking dogs but fortunately we didn't experience any of that. The hotel is situated some way out from the centre of Puno (~5km) and is probably beyond a reasonable walk but taxis are easily available if you wanted to venture into town. From the views we had of the city during the day we decided not to and those in our group that did, did not seem particularly impressed. The high point of the hotel for us was the restaurant. The food was some of the best, if not THE best we experienced in Peru - and believe me, we did have some good food during our travels. The steak my wife had was excellent, she had it both nights, and the Alpaca was equally as good. For dessert the chef displayed his artistic side and they not only tasted good but were presented as if sitting within a painting. A great stay.
