I liked the people at the front desk. They were friendly and helpful. The cleaning and kitchen staff members were nice as well. They let us shut off the TV in the breakfast room (no one else was in there) which we appreciated early in the morning. The room was clean and comfy and large. The breakfast consisted of hot eggs, sausages, waffles and many other cold items like yogurt, bagels, and fruit - which was all really appreciated. Coffee or tea available all the time. Very reasonably priced.

The best part of this property is the pool area, and waterslide! The room was pretty spacious and beds comfortable. But, the rooms are dated, our mini fridge was broken, and shower/ toilet were very cramped. Over a good stay that I would recommend for those who like a great pool!

Family friendly hotel & pet friendly, the pool had a fun slide that we all enjoyed. They allowed us to check in an 1hr earlier. Thank you staff. The hotel is a 10 min drive to Lake George however there is a main road that blocks the entrance to the hotel. It was not convienent entering / exiting hotel during 3pm - 6pm hrs. The hotel facilities could have been better maintained. Stains all throughout the lobby floor, elevators & gym was filthy.

unacceptable stay

checked in on 8/11,25,checked out 8/16,upon checking out the desk clerk said i will receive mypaid bill via email,whcich as of today still has not arrived there was no housekeeping done tues;thurs, fri it was done.from tues thru thurs there was a rubbermat in the tub, when housekeeping came on fri, the mat was gone, sat morning my wife fell out of the tub because there was no rubber mat it in, reportted this to the front desk, again still waiting for a copy ofthe incidemt report, had totake my wife to glen falls hospital where we spent 2 1/2 hours in the er, my wife's fall was due to the neglience of the hotel twed and thurs night there was dog barking all night reported this on the following morning to the front end desk clerk, fri morning we were woken up by barking dog at 7 am reported it again no resolution

This was our first time staying at La Quinta and we had a wonderful time. It's close to the town of Lake George, about a 7 minute drive but it's also close to many restaurants, shopping and entertainment outside of the town. It was very easy to check-in to our room, less than 2-3 minutes and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. There were some areas near the baseboards that could have used extra dusting but we were honestly impressed with how nice it was overall. The staff was very friendly, we had an issue with our AC and a front desk staff member came to our room right away and took care of the issue. The pool area was very nice and did smell very strongly of chlorine but not enough to stop me from using the pool with my son and did not cause any issues. No one from the staff went to the pool during the hour that we were there but all the guests were being safe and orderly, plus there are signs saying you use the amenities at your own risk. The only complaint would be the playground area for kids. It's very nice and big but we can tell it has not been maintained for some time. There are areas where boards are missing so a child can just fall through if not carefully attended to and my husband found some screws in the sand under the play area that had clearly fallen off. We just kept a close eye on our kids and made sure they were safe. Aside from the minor areas that need tending to in the playground, we had a wonderful time and will stay again next year.

My stay was pretty good for the most part. I will say the breakfast hot food selection was somewhat limited to just eggs, sausage and waffles. Room wasn't bad. Wifi was spotty. Pool was ok too. I did notice that there were some cracks on the floor of the pool, like the paint had chipped (see attached photo). Overall, it was not a bad stay, compared to staying somewhere else that was more expensive.

Great Value

This is a great value for the Lake George area. I found the room comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was suitable. The usual waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal and muffins etc. Coffee out all the time which is nice. With tea and hot chocolate as well. Front desk has drinks and snacks for sale. Pool is family friendly. Did have a little too much chlorine for me. I think it far exceeds its two star rating. You need a car. But the lake is five minutes away. Staff is very pleasant.

The pool is great but the towels run out quickly. They really need to vacuum the stairs - I honestly don’t think they’ve been vacuumed in at least a week with tons of traffic going up and down them. Also the breakfast is limited and the egg and meat options are VERY processed looking. The playground is cute and large but they need to fix some of the railing and bend back or take out the remaining screws where the railings are missing. Overall the room is clean and the bathroom is nice.

Our room was enormous! The breakfast wasn’t very exciting, but what there was, was good. Our sofa bed was not comfortable as it was sagging significantly in the middle where the bed folds out. There was a bandaid on the floor of the bedroom from a previous guest, but the towels and bedding seemed very clean and fresh. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and through the various owners. This was probably our most positive experience to date. My children LOVE the pool and the fact that we can walk to the mini putt next door.
