Very good experience, comfortable room with fireplace wiuth excellent view of lake. Randy , front desk very helpful.

We were lodged in the older building that you will probably not even notice on the picture. It was old, ill maintained, and in serious need of an upgrade. The view was the only saving grace.

Rooms need Some serious updating especially for the price. Great location. In walking distance to the village, restaurants, shopping and perfect spot for the fireworks. The bed was not comfortable. Booked a king and got two fulls. Overall place was decent. It did the job.

Room needs updating but very clean, beds are comfortable and great view on the lake side!

I booked a standard. There had been snow melting and dripping (loud) by the entrance, which means water pouring on us while unpacking the car dripping all night from gutter. There was an odor to the room, the bathroom old and disgusting and not even a refrigerator. I turned to my daughter and said I am going to see about another room. When I returned my daughter said she went to sit on the bed and noticed a stain on the bed and she could hear the conversation from the room next door. When I went to the front desk, the young lady there was more than accommodating and found a room in the main hotel an upgrade that cost me $50. more a night. Well worth it but I am sure if I had used the Orbitz pricing I would have saved money, the listing to me was deceiving I went with the 1st price standard. The picture on the site leads you to believe the hotel was the big building shown and the building to the left could possibly be stables. This experience could have been worse if there were no more rooms for an upgrade, because I know that I would have tried to find another room elsewhere. This is the third year my daughter and I have gone to Lake George and the third place we've stayed always in October and will continue our tradition. (My daughter could not thank me enough for upgrading; crisis avoided. After all is said and done this would be a place I would book again, just not a STANDARD. You really need to change the picture to show the side motel rooms.

Very disappointed in fwh hotel. I am a frequent traveler and normally stay at another placewhich is great. It was sold out so tried fwh for night. It was horrendous the room was something out of a jersey shore motel you stay at when your 18. My fault for not seeing it was the west part of the resort but it was disgusting. I was fine with the $212 price in the summer and then we opened the door. I don't believe you pay $200+ just to see the lake and your room is dark, dank and gross. Staff was friendly but couldn't check in until 4pm. Air conditioner leaked in room. Room was basically side of the highway motel. Would never stay there again EVER. I'm a reg traveler. Not too picky just being honest. The main building might be better but the west was embarrassing. Unless your someone that just wants a bed in the area I promise that you will regret staying here unless your 21 without a family. Live and learn. Hope this review helps others. FYI. I've stayed in multiple places in Lake George and they were awesome

As I was booking a Stay at Fort William Henry, I read all the reviews. As I was going through the reviews, I thought I was making a mistake staying here. I decided to judge for myself. Entering the lobby the Hotel looked beautiful. I got in around 12 noon. Check in wasn't until 4pm. I thought our room would be ready shortly there after I had gotten in. Not so much, the room wasn't ready till 4pm on the dot. But we made the most of the grounds & the breath taking views. When we got into our room, it was clean, and the bathroom was Huge! The beds were comfortable! We had breakfast at the White lion the next morning, which was delicious! Everything about this hotel was great. The use of the pool was amazing, there was wait staff available to you, whether you wanted a drink or eat all delivered to you pool side. It was amazing! I will definitely stay here again.

great location! Close to Lake George village. Close to restaurants and the lake.

Excellent location, great amenities, comfortable & always love going back!

WIFI was weak in the rooms. Otherwise a good hotel with perfect location

Beautiful setting on the lake room overlooked lake

Overall our getaway was okay. When we initially arrived we went to our room in the premium east wing. This is now the second time I stayed in this hotel in the east wing. I'm assuming this wing is never really taken care of because even when I went in the summer it was the same issue. We arrived and there were burns marks all over the carpet and in the showers there were some hairs, so didn't seem too clean. But what was the most discouraging is that the heat did not work and did not seem to be put on in the entire wing. After returning back after dinner, we decided to complain because the coldness was slightly unbearable. We went to the front desk located in the main building and complained. The man working the front desk was very nice to not give a problem and quickly offered us a room in the main building. This made th stay sooooo much better! The room was much nicer and most importantly warm! I will most Likely go back but definitly staying in the main building! Much cleaner, nicer rooms!

For the cost of this hotel, it should be so much more. The carpet was old and out dated. The heater smelled like something was burning and it was falling apart. The floors in the bathroom had mold in the grout. This hotel was not even close to worth it's price. We will never stay here again.

once you entered this small/tiny room the smell of mold was evident. the bathroom vanity counter had mold pushing up through the wood underneath. the tub did not drain so you had inches of water in the tub while showering. small and mold infested equals not worth the $$$$$ stay somewhere else....

My friends and I stayed at this hotel and had a really great time. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the hot tub, and the sauna. The view of the lake is amazing and the hotel is very close to everything in town. We had such a wonderful time.

FAMILY HAD GONE HERE WHEN I WAS A KID. HOTEL IS CLEAN AND IN CENTER OF TOWN MAKING IT EASY TO GET EVERYWHERE.

hotel was clean, comfortable, the the breakfast ( the only meal we ate at the hotel ) was very good. we were very close to some of the main attractions, and the scenery the lake and mountain views were spectacular. would recomond this to our friends

I received a voucher from your site after booking a cruise through this site. This was one of the hotels offered in the promotion. I had heard great things about Fort William Henry, so I booked. The price for 2 nights was 330 after discount. We arrived at the hotel we walked into the lobby beautiful! We could see the Lake, the pool and grounds awesome. We were given our key card to room 105. What a disappointment! Our view faced the parking lot, the room was not only dirty, dark and dingy the air conditioner never got cold , the paint was peeling and plastic food buckets caught the drip from the air conditioner! This can not be the same hotel. My sister was vacationing with us and booked a room for a little over 500 room 352 georgous! Clean spacious beautiful view. Please keep in mind my bill was 330 + 150= 480. To add insult to injury upon check out I was told I owed 12 dollars for the use of the resort! William Henry would be disgraced!

We had a good time away from the hustle and bustle!

When we first checked in we got put into the motel part of the hotel. The safe was propped up on the ground on top of a trash can, there were cracks in the walls, it was dark and it was a motel room. We asked to change into another room, while reluctant the staff member switched us. The hotel part is great, very clean, spacious, and I would recommend that you ask to stay in that part, unless you're looking to pay hotel prices for a motel. I would only recommend this hotel if you stay in the hotel section, not the motel.

We're sorry you were disappointed. Many of our guests prefer the Standard west building over the Grand.
