I ended up not staying at Fontana Inn. The rates were high for what was offered, though that is somewhat expected during the peak season.
Management was cooperative after an Expedia agent spoke with them and agreed to refund most of the amount, but they did penalize me with a $30 charge, saying it was an Expedia commission. Unfortunately, they refused to provide a receipt for that fee.
Overall, I was satisfied not to have paid the full price and only lost $30, but the experience felt a bit unclear and could have been handled more transparently.
