Excellent hotel just across from the lake and very close to the convention center. I would suggest getting a rate that includes breakfast. I would recommend getting a room facing the lake. The hotel offers excellent service an food but be prepared to pay a lot of money if you eat at their restaurants.
The room was excellent, with a nice lake view. The staff was perfect. There was parking. There was nothing to dislike about this delightful hotel. Swimming pool was quite refreshing with a spectacular view over the mountain. We used the opportunity and had a drink in the Funky Claude's Bar where there was live music. We wanted to have dinner in MP'S Bar & Grill but unfortunately it was closed, however we had a good time in Montreux Jazz Café and the dinner was top. We enjoyed this place and for sure would like to go back.
We were there for 2 nights and had a fantastic time. From check in to checkout..... everything was just great. Rooms are recently renovated. Shopping and good restaurents are just about 10 min walk. Not to miss the excellent food at the Restaurents in the hotel.
I stayed here for a business conference with family in the summer. This is a beautifully designed hotel and very well maintained. The rooms are smaller like most European rooms, but well appointed. The daily fresh fruit as a Fairmont Gold member was a nice touch. The pool and spa area were gorgeous. We enjoyed the food here from breakfast through dinner. The location is ideal for Montreux. The service was excellent as well.
The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace is a Belle Epoque masterpiece that was the favoured Montreux hotel for the great Freddie Mercury. If it is good enough for the notoriously fastidious Queen front man who was perfectionist, it is certainly good enough for me! Epic in it's grandeur, the grand hall ways evoke a time long past of ultra luxury travel amongst the aristocrats and royalty. Our room was incredible with glorious view of Lake Geneva. The staff were ever so friendly and attentive and everything ran like clockwork. From the staff out the front who would park our car, to the front desk staff. Everybody was eager to help with a smile. The bar is certainly a must experience and the location of the hotel on "Funky" Claude Nobs Avenue is an allusion to the legendary Deep Purple heavy metal anthem Smoke on the Water. You will love your stay in this glorious hotel. We did...and we will be back!
Good location, nice hotel, very good services, nice staff, good breakfast, very clean , cosy rooms. Extremely helpful concierge services. Except blond reception desk woman-a liar, it was a bad surprise in 5 star hotel, not acceptable behaviuor
We had a fantastic time at the Montreux Palace. Location is excellent. The hotel is really pleasant, our room was very spacious and beautifuly decorated. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is what you'd expect - delicious and a great variety. Spa is great too. We loved it all and truly enjoyed our visit. The only thing that kind of tainted our stay was right at chekout when we found out the parking charges. CHF 40.00 to park your car per day just felt a bit of a rip-off.
The Fairmont Le Montreux was one of the highlights of our Switzerland trip! The rooms are gorgeous and the hotel itself if a great location. I absolutely loved the pool. We also used the hotels bikes to cruise the pathway along the lake. Would highly recommend!
We were so happy staying here. View from the room was magnificent and services were professional. We definitely come back again next year and spend the vacation here, interesting in food and jazz club downstair as well.
Our 2 night stay was slightly marred by the fact that the hotel's 2 best restaurants were closed for the duration of our stay yet we were not informed of this fact when we booked online! This apart - the staff were all super efficient and friendly and the room upgrade we were offered at a third of the normal price made our stay all the more enjoyable!
