Excellent hospitality. Attention to details. Top quality appointments
Beautiful canyon location. Pretty landscaping. Quiet.
Adorable unique hotel in the canyon. The customer service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back. The rooms were comfortable with soft robes and a soft bed
Fairly quiet canyon area for Southern California. Nice entertainment on the terrace but they close up early, even in summer (which keeps it quiet). Very clean and well appointed rooms and bathrooms. The food has gotten better as well as the reception staff. Nice pool. Downfalls: -Hard to find parking (they should monitor so beachgoers don't infiltrate). One afternoon we had to drive around for 25 min and ended up parking far away from the room. -No double beds on the property, only kings so it's set up for couples, not family or friends. They won't allow fold out beds. -Housekeeping staff are all on loud radios, and in the morning it sounds like a crime scene. Too bad they cannot get headsets. This continues until about 3:00 p.m. so not good for napping or sleeping in.
Pros Great Updated Rooms with high end furnishings and linens Friendly Staff Great Outdoor Happy Hour Walking Distance to Aliso Beach and Montage Resort Cons: Bed could have been firmer - They have pillowtop mattress If you like firmer bed, then I would recommend staying here... The view which the staff mentioned was a great location was overlooking concrete drainage ditch of Aliso Creek and Mountains...If you stay here ask for view of golf course and view of Mountains...or have a room facing the inside courtyard of pool... If they had a firmer bed w/o pillowtop and I stay in a different location not overlooking drainage ditch of Aliso Creek then it would have been perfect and would definitely keep coming back...
Not much to complain. However, for an upscale resort, room without bathtub and way-too-soft pillows (zero neck support) are two minuses.
Wonderful place to stay. Wonderful time. Great place for the whole family.
Beautiful, serine setting makes us feel like we were miles away, even though we were in the heart of Laguna. The Staff at The Ranch are an incredible team - they love what they do. Every detail was thought through and executed flawlessly.
The hotel is new, so they haven't worked out all the kinks yet. We waited 30 minutes to check-in. The maids moved all of our stuff-- it was very odd. They were doing turn down service, but they sent us a form in advance asking questions about if we wanted certain things,,, and we requested no turn down. They closed the pool bar and service an hour earlier than closing, so there were not any food options on property. The landscaping and everything is not done yet. The place is pretty, but they need a year to work out kinks and operate more smoothly. Our stay was just one annoying thing after another. The breakfast was good though.
Lovely trip to Laguna. More than we expected. Inexpensive uber drive to downtown Laguna.
Nice location, quick walk to the beach.
