Convenient location for our visit. Due to pandemic, the hotel and parking lot were almost empty. The access road was kind of icy. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. No hot or warm breakfast but I was able to warm up the cold sausage/cheese sandwich using the microwave oven in the room.

The customer service at this hotel was unfortunately really poor. I understand the lack of staff because it’s pandemic times, but there was a gross mixup in my room where apparently we weren’t even checked into the right room. The internet didn’t work, which to be honest I didn’t think was unusual, but when I returned to the hotel on the second day, to my surprise, the key didn’t work. I went to the front desk and the person at the front seemed very surprised when I responded “no” when she said “oh your room was changed last night”. “Last night?” I said. “No we were in the room all night and no one informed me of this.” I was then informed that we were checked into the wrong room, and front desk only found out about it when a new guest was checked into our room that was already occupied, the new guest walked in, saw that our stuff was there, and informed the front desk there was a mixup. Their keys and their hotel room was taken care of, but my room, my room service, and my keys, were not updated nor was I informed of any of this until I returned to the hotel and found out my keys didn’t work. A simple phone call saying there was an error with the keys would have sufficed, but I received no such phone call and then received excuse upon excuse about the room mixup and that SOMEONE ELSE had been given keys to our room! That is absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, the second set of keys I was given didn’t even work and I had to go down a second time to fix it.

Pretty water feature visible from the road (though actually behind the hotel). Nicely decorated lobby.

Quiet, clean, easy access to highway, coffeemaker in room.

Hotel staff was fantastic. Room had touch up paint in corner and bathroom had grout cracked and missing out of tile. Some dirt and mold in corner on outside of tub

I was in town for a meeting and checked out early. My meeting time got moved and the hotel let me back into my room to cool my heels even though I'd already checked out.

The hotel was very clean and smelled good upon entering. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was very quiet. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. I would book here again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. Family is close buy but gives us time away for ourselves. Great location, clean rooms, wonderful staff.

Free breakfast was a plus food selection was great.

We stayed in LaPorte for a Notre Dame football game weekend and the Hampton was an excellent value compared to hotels 30 minutes away in South Bend. The rooms were clean and spacious, though there was a hint of cigarette smoke in our N/S room. All in all, we would stay there again under a similar scenario.

We were looking for a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel near Lake Michigan. Every single hotel, from upscale resort to divey nasty motel on the west side of Michigan was booked solid. So we were thrilled to find this Hampton Inn - just 12 minutes from New Buffalo. The hotel is just off the highway, but there is no traffic noise. It's clean, the staff is friendly, the pool looks great, and the room is comfortable. Beds were great. No complaints at all. We were happy to have found this hotel. And really - just a very quick drive to the lake. Hooray!

Quite a distance from any shopping or restaurants. Near major highways so getting around was not difficult.

The staff graciously switched my room when the first room smelled like smoke from a previous family who had stayed there after their house had burned down. This is the third time in three months that I have stayed here and will definitely choose this location when I am in town again.

Everything was great. Staff was great. I loved that their towels were soft. I will difinately will go back.

Nice place pretty much hidden in high brush (someone needs to clean the high brush so the hotel is visible), clean, comfortable room, just had a very noisy neighbor, but management took care of it with one phone call.

Hotel comfortable and clean. Beds good and air conditioner worked well. Continental breakfast was nice. Only downside to this Hampton was that we passed up the entrance as it was located behind high weeds and grass off of the two-lane highway. No lighted area with a sign near the road. It looked as though we were driving down a lane to a haunted house.

Very close to casino and outlet mall shopping. But, remotely located in a not so secure location. [...]

We had a fine experience at this hotel. We paid a higher price than usual because of Notre Dame graduation; still, the property was maintained perfectly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent.
