I don't write too many reviews but I was so happy with this hotel, they were so sweet. Reception was so accommodating and nice for my friends and I. You have to pay for the breakfast, but the view made it worth it. Thank you!!!
The 7 Crown Malecon Hotel in La Paz was less than satisfactory when we visited in March 2017. The hot tub on the 5 th floor was clean but unusable because they "were having a problem with the heater." The internet access was not working because "they were having a problem with the signal." There was only one towel in the double room and they couldn't get another one " because the housekeeping staff was not on the premises." I couldn't get a second bottle of water from the front desk because they didn't have any though I could buy a bottle from the restaurant. Customer service was utterly indifferent. On the plus side the king bed was satisfactory. The a/c worked.
Like the rooms with the accommodations of iron, hair dryer, water to drink. Bed comfortable, pillows soft. Very clean It's in front of the bay so you can see the sea. Stay 2 days because of business and I'll recommend greatly.
Accommodations here were manageable but there were things that could have been better. Staff was nice and helpful. AC unit was great. Things like leaking taps need attention. 'Jacuzzi' on the roof is beautiful but unusable because it is freezing cold.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the room, and the staff. The room I was given had a partial view of the water and was clean, comfortable and the bed too. The time I was there the weather was in the mid 90's and I appreciated the a/c because it not only was quiet but kept the room nice and cool. There is a hot tub available on the roof where there is a spectacular view of the water and city. I didn't try the restaurant or bad because I was visiting friends. It's not always easy finding a hotel that has a shower that is tall enough for someone of my height(6'7") and that was a blessing.
Ok i just check out , waiting for My plan to tape off , and allready miss , La Paz , i really like these place , the hotel has perfec locación , in te malecón , walking distance to everywhere , the rooms aré nice , good zice , ac, and everything you Need for you stay , the staff really nice and helpfull , i will definilly will stay here again , preatty soon,
We had a large room with two double beds, chest of drawers, a table and chairs and bedside tables - so fine. There was also a very large shower, so comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was OK - fruit and yoghourt, scrambled eggs and tortillas, and coffee, but nothing special. Ideal for an overnight stay.
My wife and I visit la Paz frequently and, in spite of a number of disasters, we kept returning because it is well situated on the Malecon. Previous disasters include no hot water, no internet, no beer in the restaurant and several hundred dollars of damage to the car scraped by the valet Parker. In spite of this we returned yet again. This was our final visit. If I was to rate this hotel I would say appalling. The management insist on charging in advance for accommodation when you check in. If you want to keep an open account they take a second charge in advance for several hundred dollars. I decided not to do this as this is not a good hotel for dinner; the food is indifferent and as often as not they have no red wine or beer. On this occasion we arrived late. We went for a meal in the restaurant and they had no red wine. I attempted to pay my bill using my credit card and was told by the waiter that my credit card was not accepted. I paid cash about $50. The following day I checked my card transactions and found that the charge had posted. Effectively I had paid twice. I need to unscramble this with my card company as no one at the hotel accepted my proof of payment. Being mexico you may suspect fraud but I am sure it was just the usual incompetence I have experienced at this hotel. As usual although they claim wi-fi service it is only available in the lobby or restaurant. Anyone considering using this hotel should give these problems some consideration. There are two other 7 crown hotels one in la Paz central and one in Cabo San Lucas. I have no experience with either of these but, with the same management I would expect the same problems
I paid about $64 a night. Accepts credit cards. Room wasn't large but not cramped either. A/C. Wifi (which worked fine except for one outage period). Decent restaurant with stellar views. Hot water in the shower and good pressure. Two computers in the lobby with internet. Great staff. Even better location. Close to banks, restaurants, tour operators, mini-market, and laundry. If you're in La Paz to do things, the malecon is where you want to be. I wish the rooms had fridges, but that is my only real complaint. If you can afford the price, you'll be fine here...
7 Crowns Malecon, which is closer to the port and the waterfront than 7 Crowns Centro several blocks away, was a great budget choice. The room was clean and comfy and the A/C worked. We had a lovely view. Sometimes you could hear music coming from the street, but it wasn’t obnoxious, and you did want to stay on the waterfront right? We came to La Paz to dive but arrived for the Carnaval - what we in the US would call a state fair - and were right in the action right out the lobby door. While music continued out on the streets, we were able to sleep. Other reviews say the wifi is spotty, so it was with a huge relief that we found the wifi slow but very steady. We didn’t even have to sign in night after night. It could be because our room, 402, is literally the closest room to the router, which you can see near the entrance to the fourth floor restaurant.Speaking of that, the restaurant was steps from our room. I reviewed it elsewhere and it’s definitely a hotel restaurant. Still, it’s hard to argue with something 15 feet from your room. One odd thing is that we had to get our room key reset every afternoon. No idea why. They got to know me, so I’d just give them the key, and they’d reset it to our room. Was a pain, but since the one elevator always worked, it was not a huge deal. Not a lot of down sides. No frig. The shower water seemed to have one warm temperature no matter how you fiddled with the water fixtures, but it was comfortable, so not a big deal.
