We first had the old hotel the room was dirty old hated it dippointed the air did not work and then the water stop working. So we up graded to the new rooms beautiful will be going back soon.

Great location but severely outdated and in need of renovation. No elevator access to third floor suite, requiring a climb of over 40 stairs. Issue not disclosed when making reservation online.

The view from the balcony was VERY NICE. Property was very clean. Close to coves Did not like that there was construction going on at 7am and woke us up

Close to restaurants and beach. Parking is a joke

just really bad

We really enjoyed our stay at La Jolla Cove Suites. We had the executive suite that was able to accomodate 6 of us. The executive suite pretty much has 2 bedrooms. 1 bedroom has a king sized bed and the other has 2 full beds w/ a balcony. The 2 rooms combined together was perfect as there were 2 bathrooms which was very convenient as well. The amenities were clean and they had lots of towels for us. I was very pleased w/ the customer service. I had a baby and needed a microwave to heat up baby's milk and they brought it up to us w/ no charge. The front desk clerk (i forgot the name but it's a lady) and she was very helpful and very friendly. I think all the staff here at the hotel are super nice and friendly and accomodating! This is a plus! I was very pleased w/ the customer service I received from every staff at this hotel. The balcony we had was spacious and it's facing the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to every one who's visiting La Jolla. Very kid friendly as I have 4 children. They all enjoyed it very much! A big thank you to the La Jolla Cove Suites for making my family vacation a memorable one!

Good - super spacious. The room was like a condo - it had a kitchenette, dining room, two patios w peekaboo views of water, two ensuite bedrooms, living room. Comfy bed! Inexpensive for size and location. Front desk staff was very pleasant, but read on below. Bad - dated and just plain old. Kitchens are actually kinda cool with the original metal cabinets, but bathrooms are especially sad and unattractive. No coffeemakers!?! What's a kitchenette without coffee!?! Sheesh. Total bummer. The other bad thing was our room key didn't work. That's the worst when you walk all the way to your room (and it was a walk!) to only find it doesn't work and have to walk all the way back to the front desk. Late notice that property was under construction. Then upon arrival, front desk said noise doesn't start until after 9:00 am. Wrong! 7:30. Drilling, talking, hammering...right outside of the bedroom windows. This was not emergency construction. There was heavy duty scaffolding. It should have been on website from the getgo. Not cool.

Property is in disrepair. Great location but won’t stay there again until updated.

This hotel is very old, small bathrooms you cannot sleep from the noise I will never go back there again.

Construction started at 7:00 am every morning and there was never a mention about it.

Liked the space in the room, the view, the pool, the location! Only thing we were thinking we could have used was a second tv. There was one in the living room but not one in the bedroom.

Very nice view, room is very clean. Would definitely be coming back

Total bait and switch! The room did not have AC and there was nothing in the description to notify us. Spent the night blazing hot with no sleep. The room was pretty beat up too- dust, peeling paint in various spots, rust around the shower, bed was very thin/hard, elevator on last leg, thin/flimsy windows/doors. The pictures make it look like a cute, fun, hotel on the beach when it’s really an old motel with no AC and aged rooms. For less than the price we paid to stay here we usually stay at the Grande Colonial (similar location, cleaner, more spacious, HAS AC). Please for the love of all that is holy do not punish yourself by staying here. At least inform people you don’t have AC so they can make an informed decision if they want to suffer through a summer night in a hot room with no ventilation. Not worth $100 to stay there, much less the just under $300 we paid per night with parking.

Fantastic staff but they are working with a pretty bad property in a fantastic location. View is unbelievably beautiful. Shower goes ice cold to scolding hot every few seconds. That made showering interesting to say the least. Filthy carpet, hard bed, patchwork in shower surround, fridge does cool, coffee was horrible. Wouldn't stay again until the fix plumbing and update rooms

Disappointed not what I expected. Property was old looking and bathroom was tiny, tub was dirty, towels filled with hair and could not figure out how to work the ac box thing so I did not sleep comfortably. The only thing I liked was the view so I guess we paid a lot of money for that.

I loved this hotel...our room was amazing the seals & sea lions can be a bit loud but everything else made up for it
