Stayed here with our tour group. It's easy walking distance coming back from the Cathedral as it is all down hill! There's really not much around the hotel except for a department store and a nice park...a couple of restaurants. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good...basic but fine. My room overlooked the main road but I didn't hear a thing through the double windows! WiFi was GREAT!!!

This stay was arranged by local friends who remained with us during our trip. Centrally located. Close to El Corte Ingles department store and near the cathedral. No difficulty in finding overnight parking. Hotel accommodations were very good. We added full breakfast to the day rate. I recommed it because it saves time. The breakfast dining area is rather small but the food offerings were plentiful. However, we managed to always find a place at a table. All in all, it was a good stay.

The rooms a very large, clean and well equipped. The location is OK - one of the main roads leading toward Old Town - 30 minute walk. The hotel has decent restaurant. The breakfast was OK (room for improvement).

Nice hotel, but I have given 3 Stars as the Wifi in our room was non existant, which for a 4 Star hotel is disgraceful. I complained to reception but was given the usual "reboot and try again" response, Very helpful reception on check in. If you don't need wiFi then I recommend a visit. If you need wiFi then avoid.

This hotel was pleasant, and the staff were pretty good, but it's an out of town hotel on a radial artery. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the old town, and it's not a pleasant 30 minutes.I wouldn't go back...I think a more centrally located hostal might be better.

I was booked into the Tryp Santiago as part of the musical group The Chevelles from Australia who were touring the area and playing at the Fiestas de Santiago Apóstol. The hotel was perfectly placed for the tour group to be transported to the festival. On arrival at the Hotel, the check in staff were wonderful, very accomodating and professional. I was impressed at the efficiency of the young lady who checked the tour group in, all the time with a smile on her face, considering there were 7 people to check in!!!. The room I was in was perfectly spacious and comfortable, and the bed was a delight, especially after a long night, it was very comfy!!! The bathroom was spotless and well maintained, a credit to the housekeeping staff!!!. I went by myself for a couple of wines at the bar downstairs to have some peace and quiet and the bar attendant was attentive and friendly. The breakfast served in the morning had plenty on offer and there was defintley something there for everyone. I would definitely recommend the Tryp Santiago as a comfortable affordable hotel to use as a base while holidaying in the area.

Very nice Hotel, offers free parking (travelled by car). Room view was on the back to another building area, not a plus... Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very expensive (10€/person) so we opted to eat out in the city and spent like 8€ for 2 persons. Cathedral is about 20 min by foot and the Hotel is right next to an El Corte Inglès.

Ordinary rooms. Normal services.Nothing to write home about. The breakfast is good, even if not very varied. Cuartos ordinarios. Servicio normal. Nada del otro mundo. El desayuno está bien servido, aunque no muy variado.

The hotel is well located in Town practical to visit Downtown without driving inside which could be a little hectic. In general the hotel is OK but I can not forgive not to have a good internet in the room. We hated that; also the bathroom was not very clean an that also takes away points. The Ladies at the front desk gave us Breakfast free to overcome the lack of internet and we really appreciate this but can not stop from mentioning it. We think travelers should know.

We stayed at the TRYP Hotel Santiago for a couple of nights on a recent Tour through Northern Spain. The hotel seemed to be in good shape. Clean and modern. The only problem was the location. This hotel is located quite a distance from the old town which is where we wanted to be. On the plus side, there is a El Cortez Ingles located up the street from the hotel which was convenient for snacks and water. Breakfast was good. The WIFI is free, but the signal in the room was very weak. Had to go sit in a chair by the elevator to send an email.
