This beautiful, spacious home is only a block from the beach. Kitchen is well stocked, we had plenty of room for all ten of us. Large front porch to sit out at in the evening and listen to the ocean. Garage had a beach wagon and chairs for us. Close to great restaurants, the Carolina Boardwalk, and Southport Ferry. We had a problem with the freezer drawer not wanting to open for us the first night we got there. We called the property manager, and they sent someone out promptly the next morning!

We were able to enjoy our first family vacation to the beach at The Hamptonian and couldn't have been happier with every aspect of the house. Finding a house that would fit the needs of a larger family and a dog was challenging, so not only did the house meet every need, but completely exceeded expectations.On arriving, the kids were completely blown away by how close the house was to the beach, taking only a short walk down the block, but they were able to enjoy their own rooms with their own tv's for the downtime. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the hosts went out of their way to have more food and activity recommendations than we could possibly have time for, but that didn't stop us from enjoying what we could in just a week.Prior to and during the trip, I felt like the hosts gave the perfect amount of interaction, always quick to respond to questions, and open to whatever timetable we had to work with. There was also clear communication with all the expectations both for the house itself and the surrounding neighborhood.Our family is already discussing when we might be able go to the beach again, and staying here will be a no brainer, if it's available.

Family Beach Trip!!

We loved the location, cleaniness, and spacious house. I highly recommend to any large family group who wants to spend time together and make precious memories!! Check in and communication with the host was excellent. I would definitely book again.

Tired Hamptonian

The Hamptonian is, as advertised, in a good location across the street from the beach entrance to Kure Dunes. However, the property is dated and requires a renovation. Everything dates from the 1990s as far as I can tell. Things like towel racks were falling apart as we tried to use them. I was also very unhappy with the fact that I specifically asked the owners if guests were allowed to use the community pool and was told no, only to find out other guests in the Kure Dunes were provided with access and a key. The house was filled with inane "Don't do this, Don't do that!" notices which in some cases were offensive to anyone with half a brain. I wouldn't rent here again.

Wedding Getaway

We booked this VRBO for our family to stay in to be a close walk to where we were having our wedding. This place was amazing to stay at and everyone enjoyed their stay!!! The hosts were very easy to communicate with, which eased my nerves as the bride of the wedding. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!!

Relaxing Vacation

The house was perfect for our party of 12 with plenty of space. The house was stocked nicely and the location was perfect with easy access to the beach which was a plus. Communication with any questions I had to the management was answered promptly. Wonderful memories made and we will visit again.

Great family vacation

The Hamptonion is a short walk from the beach. Plenty of rooms for our extended family of 9. Kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment. The property manager was contacted a couple of times during our stay and the response from them was prompt. Wonderful place!

Great house!

This great property is a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house is nicely laid out for a group over 3 levels, well-stocked kitchen and very clean. We had a wonderful time snd would like to return.

You Will Love the Layout of the Home!

The large bedrooms were spaced away from each other to give all of us a sense of privacy, if needed. Beautiful sunrises were watched as we sat ,in the rocking chairs, with our hot coffees. Both upper front and back decks were enjoyed throughout the day and the common areas were large enough to accommodate all of us, while still feeling intimate. Would definitely book again!

Big Screen TV!

We kept debating whether the tv in the family room was 70 or 80 inch tv. We think it was 80 inch and was perfect for NCAA semifinal games. The house had everything we expected including a large propane grill that we used for steaks and burgers.

Great place to stay at Kure Beach

The house was spotless, comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. There is lots of beach equipment and bikes. The host was attentive and check-in easy. Any questions were answered promptly. The neighborhood is lovely and the house is a very short walk from the beach. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby.

Great location but OUTDATED and needs lots of work

The location was great but the house was NOT! It lacked cleanliness, fixtures old and rusty. Wasn’t able to use the grill because it was rusty and filthy. Kitchen supplies were not clean and old. Fireplace did not work and had a dead bird inside of it. Bathrooms were dingy and old. Toilets were nearly on the ground, they were so small, fit for a child. Master shower was outdated, dingy. Bathtub had rust and stains. No covering on the bathroom windows, which meant no privacy. They had so many signs posted throughout the house of what not to do. They need to post themselves a sign to update the house and all the amenities. A coffee pot was left on the stove filled with water and all kind of particles floating in the pot along with a lot of rust. That pot had to have been left there for months. So it makes you think how often do they professionally clean the house especially before it’s rented. The kitchen counters and stove weren’t cleaned. The bedroom furniture were damaged, the beds old and not sturdy at all. The front door slams due to not having air springs/shocks and difficulty locking the front door. On top of all this, first day arriving did not have any hot water and second to last day (Christmas day) hot water went out again. Sent text to property management of hot water going out again and they did not send anyone to service the hot water heater. Obviously there’s an issue with the hot water heater. Makes you think again how dod they clean the house without hot water. They didn’t because the house was not clean nor the floors. The exit door in the living room area to hammock was corroded and rusty. Very disappointed! We have rented homes before during Christmas holidays and this was by far the worse home we’ve EVER rented. I feel we need to be compensated with a least half of our money back. This was a horrible stay!
