My wife and I are regular visitors to this resort. As with all hotels in Genting Highlands which are usually crowded, it will take a while to get checked-in. We visited during the long Hari Raya Haji holidays and the queue was really long. The front desk officer, Mr. Fahmi, who attended to us was very warm and friendly. He had a smile on his face and was very patient. He was efficient and checked us in fast, all the while answering our queries very professionally and politely. Thank you Mr. Fahmi!!! The rooms are comfortable with two queen-sized beds. The room is clean although a bit dated. Breakfast was nice, with a good spread of western and Asian dishes. The surrounding is very peaceful and we had a room overlooking the golf course. They have a trio singing songs in the pub at night. You can sit there and relax listening to the band. The parking fees are high, and even in-house guests have to pay!!! This should not be the case.

Stayed here because of company event. Room is big with standard amenities but old and dated. There is shuttle bus service from hotel to cable car station and Genting Premium Outlets. Hotel has a cafe/restaurant which opens till late.

We were lucky enough to have the golf course view and to a awaken to a beautiful sunny misty hill. We booked 2 queen bed and it was peaceful night sleep. The breakfast was fair in the selection, the dinner was plentiful in selection however the masala dishes and lamb dishes can be improved. (the game smell disturbs the palate). The Shuttle is always crowded, difficult for a young parent with a baby stroller. The parking fee is a nightmare as it's not friendly for hotel guest. have to pay separately and no complimentary fee for the guest, definitely a turn off. overall: the old charms for the facility id an attraction however with a good customer attraction in packages and complimentary ideas as a substitute will attract more customers to book with Awana regularly.

The location of the property is excellent. it is at Genting Highlands. The property and facilities are very good. but there is no internet connection in the suites, but only in the lobby which is (a) paid (not free) and (b) not good as well.

The good things about this hotel are: the location near Premium Outlet Mall, the best outlet mall in Malaysia now and the surrounding of the hotel is green and green only, convenient and comfortable. The things should be improved by the management of the hotel are : poor breakfast, the hotel should improve the taste and the variant of the breakfast in this hotel. Other things are, cleanliness of the hotel and this old building should be repair and maintain regularly, because the building is dull. Hospitality and service also should be improved, I was asking in the reservation that I need a room in a high floor and garden view, however I was placed in a far away and remote hotel wing, in a ground floor just next to the parking space, no garden at all. So be careful because of this treatment, the customer will be disappointed and will not come back again into this hotel.

I am a photographer for a news agency and was tasked to cover the good vibes event. As I got there early I understood that I couldn't check in before 3pm. When I got there, HUZZAIDAN straight away assumed that I was in the group package, told me "group package kena tunggu" and proceeded to ignore whatever it was that I was trying to tell him. I repeated myself and tried to explain to him that I wasn't apart of the group package and I came here for business, but he still ignored me and repeated the words "group package kena tunggu". I gave up, and decided to just roam around the mall until it was 3pm. When I came back at 3pm, he asked me again, "group package ke?", And i, now Abit more crankier than before told him "no, individual", to which then he responds with "oh, kenapa Tak cakap? Kalau individual tak perlu tunggu". My hands were shaking. I was holding in all the pain I wanted to inflict upon him. I respond with "dah cakap dah tadi, tapi kau buat2 tak dengar." To which he replies with "oh, eh?" Even when he asked for my name, it didn't seem like he was trying to listen to what I was saying, and proceeded to get my name wrong and told me "oh nama tu Tak Ada Pon" in the end I had to raise my voice and spell my name out loud. The most unacceptable thing was that there was no apology. No acknowledgement of his mistakes. Nothing. I don't usually write reviews, but I promise you, this will not be the only thing I am going to do.

This is my 3rd time staying at Resort World Awana. Surrounded with greenery and sound of nature, I get to encounter the freshest air when i get up every morning. I get to make 2 new friends from Awana this round. Great experience.

Even when I booked a room with 2 queen bed for 4, breakfast was only available for 2. I paid addition MYR18 per person for my kids. To my surprise, everything was snapped up even at 830am with no replenishment. To be honest I would rather have my breakfast at the golf club house. Both my kids had cereal that day because there wasn't anything left on the spread. For a 4 star hotel, I would say it’s rather substandard. Won’t mind paying extra for breakfast but I didn’t expect it to be empty. F&B team needs serious overhaul coming from a frequent traveller. Love the location and enjoyed a golf game with my boys nonetheless.

We used to come here a lot 10 to 20 years ago and it was great family place to get away from the hot climate and enjoy what Genting Highlands has to offer. Sadly, the place has not been refurbished for many years and it looks very tired and dated. Even the staff looks very dour and bored (the receptionists especially). I guess the rooms are okay - very dated but they are spacious, with free mineral water, toothbrushes and slippers. But everything else is simply quite horrendous and seem to be stuck in the 80s. There is no wifi in the bedrooms, we had to pay for parking and the breakfast in the restaurant is inedible, which is strange because they offer simple local delicacies. I am sure the hotel can find a local chef who can whip up a good nasi lemak or nasi dagang that is not undercooked (mentah) two mornings in a row. Despite all this, I guess the hotel doesn't have to try very hard - the cool weather, beautiful views and nearby attractions are sufficient to keep this hotel full almost all year round. The place holds special memories for many Malaysians like us, and to see it run the way it is, is just very sad.

Disappointed with No Wifi in room. Lobby Wifi available but costs RM15 /hour. Signboards for accessing various amenities could be improved with clearer directions and if properly located. E.g. Gymnasium
