Wyspianski Hotel

My spouse and I stayed here for four nights. The location just off the Planty and near the Old Town is pretty convenient. The hotel is right on the tram line, so if that appeals to you, then great. The noise from it was not too bad up on the 4th floor, where we stayed. (If this would bother you, there may be rooms that face another direction. We could see the tops of the steeples of St. Mary's Basilica over the tree tops from our room.) The rooms are fairly large but spartan. The small double beds are firm but comfortable. The modern bathroom is typical Euro small and functional. The TV has no premium stations and very limited English (CNBC). There are Russian channels in addition to the Polish. The in-room wi-fi was a bit weak and slow. The desk staff was competent and fairly helpful. They were not especially friendly but that may be because the place is popular with tourist groups, including buses full of teenagers. The lobby area was sometimes pretty chaotic as groups came in and out. There is a tourism office attached to the hotel, so arranging for tours is very easy. There is also a pierogi restaurant in the same building that is pretty good. The breakfast is 30 Zty and its worth about that. The eggs were good and the kielbasa excellent. The rest was fairly ordinary. Coffee OK not great. This is not a romantic hotel but a decent place as a base for tourism. I would consider returning to it on another trip to Krakow.

Excellent location, close to all attractions. Walking distance to major points of interest in Old Town and tons of restaurants and cafes. Clean rooms, professional, friendly staff, and fantastic breakfast buffet. Even small grocery store and a Polish food restaurant next door. Great value for your money.

for 1 person, very small room but just enough if you just sleep over. fairly quiet with nice reception desk. good deal overall.

The location is excellent. Close to the center, close to the castle and the mall and next to a green area. Breakfast is average. Room size is good. Relatively quite location. Air conditioning is not available. Bed matress is average. Very nice front porch with green area. Tram and bus pass by front of hotel. There is a small supermarket on the hotel building that is convenient.

nice to be on the main floor bath was good size no air conditioning ask for a fan to make the room more comfortable in warm weather

I have walked by this hotel many times but finally stayed there for the first time. I must say I am pleasantly surprised. While on the outside it doesn't look different from any Communist-era hotel, the inside is quite nice. The bathroom is completely renovated. The Wi-Fi also works well, and the location is unbeatable, just steps from the market square where all the tourist attractions are.

Nice, clean, recently remodeled. Very near the old town, walking distance.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this very clean hotel. Hotel deserves high marks with easy access (walking) to old town, restaurants, public transportation, friendly staff and good choices buffet breakfast.

for the price, the room was good. Decorum was more old fashioned. Also we had 2 twin beds (or singles I think they call them) for my husband and I. We didn't care but it was funny. Location was great, ~5 minute walk to the market square. My chief complaints are no climate control (one window opens and not by much) and the pillow on the bed SUCKED (I had to fold it in half to get any kind of support). The restaurant there is decent but a lot of big tour groups go there too so the service suffers when the groups arrive. We only ate dinner there, can't comment on the breakfast.

Comfortable and very close to city centre and many tourist attractions

The room is not very big, in fact it is quite small. Everything sort of works but not really. The WiFi signal was a little weak in the room I had and also they do not allow late checkout which can be a hassle. Overall, it is not a great hotel but does the job if you want to be near Old Town and the main station (for trains).
