On arrival, you might wonder why you booked here, at the back the railway is being worked on (so not a good view) and you walk through an open restaurant/pizzeria to reception. But hold hard, it's all good after that! At reception you get your mobile phone which controls EVERYTHING in your room, including the locks. A quick look around reveals the industrial look in parts, complimented by matt black fittings and lighting. There are lots of complimentary items, and the toiletries are good quality. A bottle of sparkling wine, glasses and fruit bowl wait you, and many guests seem to take some or all of these to the rooftop spa and enjoy the evening/night view in a hot tub and a drink. Amazing!! The bedrooms are well equipped and here is NO sound through the glass, so forget about any comments on working at the back - you won't hear it. The pizzeria is marvelous, and doubles up as breakfast area where you can get buffet style supported by some cooked items. Hospitality? They fall over themselves to help the guests and I can't recall being made so welcome for a while. They even offered to change the mattress if it didn't feel comfortable! (Not needed, it was sensational). Why not book a car at the hotel to collect you, it's a long way and the ride is great quality and very reasonably priced

If I could rate more than 5 let's say 10 stars I would definitely do it.This hotel is a real gem, well designed, clean and totally reasonably priced. Really enjoyed every aspect. Beautiful views, dark classy rooms and perfect location. Staff very helpful, smiles everywhere. The only thing I didn't like is that a/c has default temperature of 21 Celsius so everytime you enter the room is getting cold and you have to reset it to a higher temp. Also, during check out one of the girls at the reception was a bit rude to me saying that I had requested a lower price, not in a very nice manner which of course I never did, probably she confused me with someone else. In general the whole team was so happy to help and make your stay comfortable and was so satisfied with the hotel till check out that I considered that a minor thing but lead to leave with a very slight sense of bitterness.

The number of 5-Star reviews is astonishing. These guests must have been drunk on the complimentary bottle of spumante the hotel provides when they wrote their reviews. To begin with, the rooms are painted black with dark brown/black carpets. Apparently the hotel’s interior designer was going for the dark and dirty look. Second, in an effort to appear hi-tech, the room’s lights, window shade, temperature and door lock are controlled by a hand-held smart-phone type of device — inconvenient and cumbersome to carry but made worse because it frequently malfunctioned. Case in point: our room was as cold as a witch’s tit every time we entered it. We continually had to call the front desk to raise the heat. And get this: except for a bare metal bar suspended above the desk (that’s right: the desk!) to hang a few articles of clothing, there were no closets and no drawers. Yes, you read correctly. The Loft’s hotel rooms have no closets or drawers. Like the homeless, we lived out of our suitcases during our three day visit to Krakow. Also, the room safe was not secured to its shelf, so theoretically a burglar could walk off with your valuables locked inside and crack the safe at his convenience in the comfort of his home. Finally, the bathroom had virtually no shelf space, so there’s no place to put your toiletries except on the toilet seat cover, and the stall shower had no retaining edge so that water soaked the bathroom floor after each use. Soaked is much worse than simply made wet. Why then a rating of two stars instead of one? Because the hotel “dining room” serving a standard European breakfast is a pizzeria restaurant by night, and the bread they baked each morning tasted like pizza crust. I happen to like pizza crust. I recommend The Loft Hotel to anyone who absolutely must visit Krakow when every other hotel room in the city and surrounding area is booked solid. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Just returned from a 4 day weekend break at the most unusual hotel. Flew out to which took about 1 hour 30 minutes to Katowice Airport. We booked our transfer with Holiday Taxis - perfect service and cost approx £80. Driver was waiting for us. The Return journey we flew out of John Paul airport Krakow which is much closer and hotel arranged taxi for 100 Zloty. Beware the traffic is very busy around late afternoon so leave with plenty of time to spare. There is a lot of road works going on in the city which obviously has currently impacted on traffic. On to the hotel ......... Greeted by 2 fabulous receptionists who opened us a bottle of Prosecco and helped us check in . Gave us our mobile phone which you use to open the door and control the blinds and airconditioning and lights in the room. We struggled initially to open the door but realised we had held the phone back to front :). You don't have to take your phone out with you, you can leave it in reception on charge whilst you are out on tours etc. Room is all black ! Black decor looked fabulous but difficult to find things after dark even with the lights on ! There is a free in room safe, and complimentary tray of fruit, with sparkling wine , the mini bar had water, orange juice, carton of milk, pepsi and lemonade all free of charge. Coffee machine only had 2 pods per day but there is a kettle with 2 teabags and sugars but we had taken our own coffee sachets so used those instead. As others have said, you control the blinds by the in room ipod or your little mobile phone, the only problem with this is that the main room and toilet are all controlled together and it seemed that you can be seen through the windows so if you want to use the toilet/shower, you can't have the blinds in the bedroom open and closed and tilted in the bathroom, A bit embarassing as our room was directly level with a building site with workmen, able to see in to our room ! The bathroom would have benefitted from either a big shelf and extra towel hooks or coat pegs for the provided fluffy black dressing gowns as there was nowhere to hang the towels next to the sink, and no space to put your toiletries. No toothmugs etc as no space, The storage space in the bedroom is also extremely limited with ultra modern black metal frames with hangers to hang your coats on but no drawers or shelving so we had to use our case as a storage unit. Bed was superb - extremely comfy with lovely separate duvets so no fighting. :) Cleanliness could have been improved - I dropped something on the floor and found a mouldy orange and a hairgrip underneath the unit with the room safe ! Neither of which were ours ! Hotel has a top floor jacuzzi and sauna rooms etc also free to use. Stunning views across the city from the roof top. ADULTS ONLY - what more can you ask for ? We could have used the hotels Rolls Royce for transfers just email the hotel in advance or ask when you get there for a very reasonable cost and were offered a free upgrade but sadly it was already booked out ! The breakfast is provided in the main restaurant 700 until 1200 which was an added bonus but it is a bit limited- cold platters of cheese and meats, salads, few croissants, cakes, breads, jams etc. few cereals and choice of cooked meals which were ham and cheese toasties, omelettes, plain or ham and cheese, scrambled eggs (which looked like an omelette ) :) Sadly the male waiter obviously didn't understand our Midlands English accent and we ended up with something different than we had ordered ! Plus the toast isn't quite like you get at home ! There is also a choice of VODKAS and Sparkling wines, (if you feel inclined) fruit juices, coffees teas etc. On the day we did our Auschwitz trip we had to leave very early 0650 and hotel provided a breakfast box free of charge as we missed breakfast and it was massive !!! 2 large baguettes, ham and cheese and mozzarella and tomatoes, drinks, fruits etc and it lasted us all day ! It was beautiful quality too. The receptionists were all very good but outstanding thanks to Oksana who was outstanding in her knowledge , customer service skills and very very polite and helpful. Also Liza also very good ! We used the restaurant / bar at night as well which was very good and very reasonably priced which we were able to add to our room bill and complete payment on check out. For a well situated small quirky hotel which has everything you need for a weekend break we totally recommend this hotel. Its only been opened a few months but is certainly getting positive feedback and we would use again and recommend to others.

Me and my partner were here in May celebrating our anniversary. The hotel was brand new, our room was lovely, as pictured on the website with great views from the floor to ceiling windows. Robes & slippers included aswell as soft drinks on the mini bar and fresh fruit on arrival! On our arrival we enquired about the hot tub on the roof, to be informed that this wasn’t actually ready yet. This was advertised and was the main reason for choosing this hotel therefore we were hugely disappointed. The staff were really friendly & helpful and overall we had a good weekend. The hotel is around a 5 minute from main market square

I was so impressed from start to finish. Great location, service and all the little treats and touches definitely impressed me. Staff so friendly and accommodating. From arrival i was made to feel like 5* guest and every request was fulfilled. I will 💯 percent be back. Had food in hotel for lunch on arrival (tuna and was delicious) and for breakfast each morning and food was delicious.

I had booked the Loft Hotel in May for our early September stay. About two weeks before our stay, the hotel messaged us, informing us that they were unable to accommodate us during this period due to refurbishment (we had booked two rooms). They could "offer a different stay" or "refer us to another hotel". My initial reaction was panic because my dates were already fixed. I never replied to their message as I had no interest in getting the specifics or relying on them to find us another hotel. Thankfully, I was able to book somewhere else, although choices were somewhat limited. I'm not doubting their "refurbishment" but I'm a bit surprised that no one else has mentioned it on tripadvisor or elsewhere. Having this experience, I will look elsewhere for accommodation if I go back to Krakow. My 3 star rating is based on the content of the message that I got from the hotel.

We had an amazing stay in the Loft Hotel. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco and reception were helpful throughout our whole stay. The room is ultra modern and has above and beyond what is needed for a comfortable stay. Little touches like a nespresso coffee machine and bath robes make the rooms 5*. The rooftop jacuzzi is lovely after a day exploring and the hotel is within easy walking distance to the main square. The breakfast is plentiful and we had pizzas in the restaurant one afternoon, they are amazing and great value. We will definitely be returning if we come back to Krakow!

This hotel offers everything you could want and more. The service, facilities, cleanliness and comfort on offer here are second to none. The on-site Pizzeria on the ground floor makes pizzas to die for ! The rooftop jacuzzi will relax you after a tough day of sight seeing ! And the location of this place is perfect for visiting all those fab places Kraków has to offer. The sleek modern feel of this place sets it apart from the more traditional hotels but the staff will make you feel right at home, nothing is too much trouble. We will be back !

We arrived very late on Friday night, for our 3 night stay. We were greated by friendly staff, who quickly explained about the hotel and how everything worked. I loved the fact that instead of a key you are given a mobile phone, which not only unlocks the door, but that you can also order room service on, or control the lights/blinds etc in the room. The rooms themselves are very modern and absolutely spotless. A big bathroom with plenty of towells, bath robes, shower gel, shampoo etc, made our late arrival that much easier. There is also a fridge in the room with water and other soft drinks, and the bed and pillows are just so comfortable. Electric blinds make it easy to black out the light when sleeping. There is just so much choice for breakfast! A fabulous buffet, but also hot food that can be ordered and came quickly. The staff are constantly refilling the buffet, and I never saw it run out of anything during our 3 night stay. Food and reception is 24 hour, so no matter what time to arrive or leave, you can always get something to eat. We were also fortunate to sample the evening menu. The food was amazing. Italian themed, I had the lasagne, and it was delicious. The hotel itself it located just a short walk from the main Krakow square, so is a brilliant base for sight-seeing or for business trips. All in all, I fail to see how you could be disappointed with this lovely hotel.
