The Negatives: • Poor Cleaning: Found small black hairs on bedding, door frames, and furniture. Thick dust on extraction fans, radiators, and toilet roll holders. • Maintenance Issues: Main light flickered and an electrical socket was hanging off the wall. • Bathroom Condition: Visible mold in shower grout/corners and a very slow-draining shower. • No Elevator: Located on the 2nd floor with no lift. Hauling luggage up two flights of stairs was not clearly communicated in advance when I made the booking, only received this information a couple of nights before arriving. • Systemic Issues: After being shown two alternative rooms for a swap, I found they suffered from the exact same dust, mold, and hair issues. Management offered a refund rather than a proper cleaning. Since I was only there for a few nights, I stayed, but this property desperately needs a deep clean and a maintenance overhaul. Only the shower drain improved after the room swap.

The check in went great. Nice lady. Location was also great but our room had a very foul sewer like smell coming from the bathroom. At first we thought the plug in air freshener scent was the issue so we removed that from the room along with one other air freshener we found under the sink in the bathroom. This solved the strong artificial smell but not the root cause which was coming from the bathroom. It made it very hard to be in the bathroom at all. We kept the door closed tight and opened the window to get fresh air. When I mentioned the issue to the number given at check in all we got was a "thanks for letting us know....we will look into that." response. Of course they know very well it smells because they used two types of air fresheners in the bathroom to try and cover up the smell. I would not stay here again nor recommend anyone stay in room 7 at least. I have no idea if all their rooms smell or we just got "lucky".

Wonderful second stay at this little gem of a hotel. Location is fabulous literally a stones throw from the main square where you’ll find lots of fabulous bars & restaurants to choose from. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff are super friendly. We will definitely be back for a third stay :)

Our room was clean and comfortable. We knew there was no lift and were prepared for the stairs. Very handy location for getting around but the downside was that it is on a very busy street of cafes, bars and shops and the noise is constant throughout the night. The reception staff were superb and could not have been more friendly and helpful and the breakfast at the restaurant just a few doors away was excellent.

The room was lovely! Clean, very spacious and comfortable! Staff were friendly however upon arrival we were told several times there would be someone to help us with our bags but there was just a small girl there and she said she could not help. We are on holiday for 2 weeks and had 2 very heavy bags. We were told they were on the 2nd floor.. but that is also not true. We climbed 4 flights of stairs by ourselves with a total of 90 pounds of bags. We did not appreciate the misinformation.

Property itself is ok. There is no lift what so ever in the property and it’s up two very large flights of stairs. The check in was meh. No real amenities. It’s a converted 1/2 floor into a hotel. Ok for the price and because I was alone. Don’t think I’d book here again. Location is good though
