Would strongly recommend this hotel. We arrived a little earlier than check-in time however this was not an issue. We received 2 free drinks coupons for the bar. Room was very spacious. Slightly small bathroom but a very powerful shower. Surrounded by many great bars and restaurants which are worth visiting. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Krakow Old Town/Main Square which was worked perfectly for us. Would recommend eating outside the main square as its a lot cheaper, food and drinks and probably better food! Great hotel, great stay and great holiday!
Good location, lots of restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk from main market Square. Clean convenient, nice atmosphere, friendly, great breakfast and bar area, and value for money. Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Located in the Jewish quarter along with a number of great bars and restaurants. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The ensuite bathroom was compact but had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The room had tea making facilities, a well stocked fridge and large flatscreen television (although as our understanding of the Polish language is limited to say the least, the only channel for us was the BBC News channel). Breakfast as plentiful including fruit, cereal, cheese, meats, yogurts, bread and rolls etc. Omelettes, crepes, scrambled, fried and boiled egg dishes could be ordered fresh and were delicious. The Main Square was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a very useful map of Krakow on arrival and the lovely receptionist spent time explaining different places of interest. We were also given a token for a free drink in the hotel bar. The only negative was that we were woken two out of the three nights by noisy members of the public out in the street but I guess this is something you have to accept when you stay in a hotel in a busy location. I must add that this was a brief disturbance and was out of the control of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Great value and service.
We booked this holiday as a deal package through Broadway Travel which included a trip to Auschwitz and Berkinou Death Camps and went with another couple. Airport transfers are a must in my opinion as they take you straight to your hotel and arrange pick up as well, unless you are familiar with the area where your hotel is then fair play. Transfer was wonderful and efficient and very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a bit of a history lesson and tended to show us places we should visit. Hotel itself was a bit disappointing in that there is NO LIFT so if disabled a bit of a problem, thankfully we requested first floor twin room, got the first floor but not twin. Room is quite small has a fridge in the room and shower in room did not work properly. Shower head was loose and sagged down but we managed and door to the shower was unhinged but my hubby managed to put this back in place in a fashion. If you want your linen changed then you must put a note on your bed to this effect.. we found this out when we were checking out and checked the drawers and found this, I think it should be left on the little table in the room for easier access. Food was wonderful and staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. Location is fantastic and within easy walking distance to both Jewish Quarter and surrounds and also the Old City, Castle and River...no transport is needed.
Fantastic hotel in an idea location for exploring all that Krakow has to offer. The staff at this hotel make it an excellent place to stay while in Krakow....we arrived early morning and were shown straight to our room rather than having to wait until 12pm which was a bonus as we had an early flight out. Hotel was warm, cosy and inviting and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very spacious always clean and warm, what more could you possibly need or want for a 4 night stay. I had already been in touch with the hotel with several requested before our stay and the staff at the hotel organised and booked our trips and transfers to and from the airport at great prices. They were so accommodating of all the questions that I asked and addressed them promptly. We were bed and breakfast and which was always fresh and plentiful downstairs in the restaurant this was also great times and you could get breakfast up till 12pm every day which is great as we didn't feel we had to rush down every morning! A special shout out to the barman....I believe his name was Kristoff? but he made us feel very welcome and made us any drink we asked for. His local knowledge was fantastic and took great pride in the drinks he severed us. He had a smile on his face and chatted away to all of his customers....defiantly an assets to this friendly hotel. Would return in a heartbeat when next in Krakow...highly recommend the Spatz Hotel.
Stayed 25- 27 October, book via booking.com. On arrival we were given tokens for complementary drinks at the bar, offered maps of the area and given information on day trips the hotel are able to book on behalf of guests. Our room was on the third floor which is the top floor, up 6 if I remember right, short flights of stairs this wasn't much of an issue for us as we had minimal luggage, however if you have an difficulty walking or excessive stairs you may want to request a room on a lower floor when booking. The room it's self was very big and clean, lovely bathroom, safe, kettle and Tv in room. Breakfast was included in our booking, which was also great. A Buffett along with the option to order from the kitchen. Very friendly and helpful waiter working in there also. Check out was at 12, but the hotel did store our luggage for us as our flight wasn't till later on in the evening so we had the day to explore without lugging around our bags. Our bags which the guy at reception also carried down the stairs for us, which was very nice of him. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend, if I'm ever in krakow again would definitely stay again.
We used this hotel as a base that is well placed I the Jewish quarter. The restaurant was good for both breakfast and dinner with a separate bar, there was a nice sushi restaurant across the road from the hotel. The rooms are adequate for a short stay and the staff so helpful in arranging your trips and telling you places of interest, we was provided with a street map and enjoyed the walk, tram service is a short distance.
Well? What can i say, yet another perfect visit to The Spatz, 3rd year running here, and it never fails to deliver, staff go above and beyond to give you the best service. Would not book any other hotel in Krakow, we will be back next year !!!!
nice boutique hotel in the jewish quarter, short stroll to main square and wawel castle, lovely bars and restaraunts adorn this area, the hotel is spotless , rooms well appointed, nice bar and breakfast area, big screen tv for soccer etc, the staff are very polite and courteous, all of them excelled in their duty to customer care, pleasant manner and will help to arrange any trip you wish, special thanks to Maciej, who is a great asset to Spatz hotel, thanks again and will visit soon
I would like to say Thank you to all of the staff at the hotel for sorting out everything after our transfers where cancelled by ryainar they sourced a transfer and let us pay for this when we arrived, it was very handy as I had no money on my card, they booked our trip to Auschwitz and made sure everything was ok, the breakfast wasn't all that great and we left at 415am this morning with not a sign of any breakfast for us or even a roll so had to go to the local shop, also the room is advertised as sound proof when it defintly is not you can hear every word including the shouting pissheads who walk in at 3am and make it fully aware that they are back apart from that a great stay made great by your staff Thanks again I will be back
