This was my second visit at the hotel, as I come to Krakow alot on business now I thought after the first time that this would be my go to hotel for future travels. However I'm not so sure now, the first time I came I got upgraded to a deluxe room however I was unaware of this and just assumed that it was a standard. So when coming back again and staying in a standard room I was in for a bit of a surprise! The standard rooms aren't bad, just a bit anti climatic considering my first visit. Would I come back again? I'm not really sure, guess it depends on what rooms are available.
We stayed here for a four day city break. The location is fantastic, just off the main square. The reception staff are great and really helpful. Hotel was really clean and inviting and the basement restaurant was very atmospheric. Rooms spacious and only minor niggle was our double was against two walls making it frustrating getting in and out for the one up against the wall
This is one or the cleanest places we have been to, and im talking about Krakow old town. Hotel Unicus is situated just around the corner of the main square. Perfect for all sites to see. Hotel is very well presented, helpful staff, excellent food. Recommended
Modern and fresh. Clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly nothing was to much. Convenient to everything, shops, bars, restaurants and square . We go to krakow at least twice a year and will stay here again.
The location was perfect insofar as both walking distance to historical locations but also in being able to take day trips to farther historical sites. The hotel arranged our day trips to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and to Auschwitz-Birkenau- which was a huge help and the tours they arranged were both a good price and very good tour companies. The hotel and our room were clean and well kept. The dining area was also a very delightful atmosphere and very good food!
Stayed here recently during Easter and was a great hotel...especially for the price. The location was the best thing about it - in the old town a 2 minute walk from the main market square. Bed was HUGE and two single duvets which was good for us! Bathroom very modern and spacious. Only issue we had was the room was it was very warm. The aircon didn't really help. We opened the window on the first night but the issue with being so close to the Basilica was the trumpeter EVERY HOUR!!! So our tip would be to take ear plugs. The breakfast wasn't for us. We were hoping for more of a hot breakfast but it was more of a continental breakfast. You could order eggs but in the whole time we were sat at the table noone came over so not sure if you had to get up and order. Overall would absolutely recommend this hotel based on the location and the price.
We stayed 15th to 18th March, the reception staff were really friendly and our twin room was spacious. The room had great heating and much needed in -8c temperatures. There was a huge choice for breakfast - hot & cold and you could order eggs (boiled, scrambled, benedict) The hotel is in a great location, it was great being 5 minutes from the main square, the restaurants all had heaters and blankets. The only downside is you couldn't sleep with the window open as it was too noisy outside, so the room did get a little stuffy We had a fantastic few days and really glad we booked this hotel. I would definitely recommend,
Overall, we were very happy with our hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The maids did a great job cleaning the room each now. The only odd thing was that they never gave us clean coffee cups. They restocked our coffee, but did not give us clean cups. Each day they left two bottles of watch, which we liked. We were about two blocks from the main market square (the Cloth Market). In the other direction, it was about two blocks from St. Florian's Gate. Most of it was a pedestrian area full of restaurants and stores. On the corner by the hotel, there is a KFC, a vodka/hamburger place, and a pizza place. There is a great ice cream place right across the street from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for a short break. The position is just off the Street leading to the main square. The reception staff are friendly and will offer assistance in booking taxis etc. We did not eat in the restaurant as there are so many opportunities outside the hotel. There is a small bar area but again there are many places near to the hotel. The room we had was two single beds pushed together which is not ideal but fine for a weekend. It was shower only in the bathroom and remember to bring your own shampoo as none is provided. The weather when we went was very cold and so the heating was welcome when you came back from sightseeing however it was a bit over powering at night. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a short break and want to be near all the sites that Krakow has to offer.
Hotel quite nice ! Close to the square. Great location. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Great bathroom huge shower. Room ok . Bit noisy on and off with street noise. Well worth a stay. Great to walk so close to square
