A modern and nice designed hotel located in the city, just a few minutes walk to the main city square. Taxis are relatively low priced (at least compared to where I'm from) so it is easy to take a taxi to and from the hotel. Most taxis don't know the hotel by name (there are just so many hotels in this city), but if you tell the street name to the driver it is no problem. The rooms are very nice with beautifully designed bathrooms. The temperature can easily be adjusted, but you have to adjust by feeling as there is no temperature indicator. The hotel is located just off a shopping street so any noise is rarely heard from the streets, except if there is a gang of supporters singing downstairs. Breakfast is very good, with high-class foods and a menu to order (no extra charge) freshly made eggs in different ways (scrambled, omelets or even Benedict).
I booked a stay at the Hotel Unicas 4 months ago and on arrival was told it was over booked and we didn’t have a room. They had reserved a room for us at a hotel up the road but it was very modern and not what we wanted. The strange thing is the week/day before arrival I had lots of communication from the hotel about airport transfers and excursions, which I’d already booked, so if they were over booked why did they do this knowing we didn’t have a room? The receptionist tried his best to help but the duty manager was very frosty and not apologetic at all. I’m sure the hotel is lovely but just check they have a room for you.
Very comfortable hotel in the center of Cracovia , very clean in the rooms with new toilets . Good international breakfast ! Friendly staff and ready to answer your inquiries ! Good prices and high quality
We stayed in this hotel for some nights during our visit to Krakow. The hotel is located in the old quarters but, being in the middle of everywhere (it just takes you minutes to get there from the train station, or to the main square, and many places you want to visit) it is in a street where there is not much noise. Our room was spacious, although it would have been better if it weren't for the lowering ceiling for the windows. Real curtains would have also been appreciated. The mattress was comfortable and so were the pillows. It was great to enter the room and find there were robes (but no sleepers). The towels and the robes were really clean and fresh. The batroom had a wonderful shower and most of the amenities you may need (but for toothbrush, that you have to buy at the reception desk!). The air dryer works well. Since it was warm weather (for them) we didn't have central heating (which was necessary for us at night). The solution they gave us was to bring a small electric radiatior which kind of helped. The breakfast is good with a nice selection of fruits, mermelades, breads, hot meal (they prepare eggs as you like them - omelette, etc.) and coffee was good. The people at the reception desk are nice and ready to help with anything you may want (directions, taxis, etc.)
We were upgraded to the new hotel Unicus Palace just around the corner of Hotel Unicus, on the most central street Cracow:Floriańska St. Unicus Palace is newly opened and it is a very confortable and elegant Hotel, has a very chic Spa area and a young ,very friendly and helpful team at the reception. We were very happy there. Everything is on a walking distance. The hotel has a nice bar restaurant. Breakfast was good and varied. Here is my only critic. The service could be improved. Service should’ve observant, take away used plates, etc. Otherwise it is a very nice hotel to stay when visiting Cracow.
We booked the Unicus hotel, but when we arrived and my husband had trouble with their front steps, just a few, but he has a small scooter, they immediately upgraded us to the Unicus Palace, their sister hotel which is a 5 star, and just one building over. They gave us an accessible room there. What a beautiful place! The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was really outstanding. The location is right on the street that leads from the medieval arched entry down past the main square and on to the Palace! There is a beautiful swimming pool in basement, free use, with hot tub and sauna, with vaulted ceiling and it looks like a Roman bath. I am talking about the Unicus Palace. If you go, compare the prices of these two and maybe opt for the 5 star one. I am sure the other one was nice too. Staff were very helpful.
Booked the hotel for a romantic getaway. Great location, ok rooms, good bathrooom and ok (slightly dated) decor. Our double room had two single beds pushed together (no huge surprise there) with a double sheet over the top. However on top were two, small single duvets. I made what I thought was a simple request at reception to have this changed for a double to be told that they have no double duvets in the hotel! Looking back at trip advisor now I see that this issue was raised over 3 years ago. If I'd realised I'd never have booked, guess this also shows the management take no notice of trip advisor feedback. From what I hear from friends there are much better hotels in Krakow. I will be avoiding this one in the future!
This was an excellent hotel. The best Krakow hotel that I have stayed in. Reception staff are so helpful. Bar staff were great. This hotel had the best breakfast.... eggs any way that you want, bacon sausage French toast etc. Very like a full English. Rooms were very comfortable and the location for the square, bus and train was great. Powerful shower Just perfect
We love this hotel in old town Kraków which is just a few minutes walk from the main square. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Make sure to book a rate which includes breakfast which is a great way to start your day.
We stayed here for a week as a group attending a family wedding, the staff were always friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Lovely clean rooms with a comfy bed, bathroom public areas were always spotlessly cleaned, housekeeping was outstanding. Only a short walk to the market square to find anything that you would need, shops, restaurants, cafe's, banks etc. Useful service that we took up was parking via the hotel (at extra cost and added to room account) We would park opposite hotel give key to hotel staff who would park our car. When car was required about ten minuets notice required for the car to be brought back to us. A great service being in a strange city and not knowing where car parks were and what restrictions there were one way system etc, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
