Beautiful facility, better than the pics. Don't miss the breakfasts. The staff at the front desk are perfect. Housekeeping, perfect. Barman on the 6th floor, terrible. Belligerent, mean spirited person. Get your drinks on the first floor.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Lovely wood floors, large bathroom, fabulous shower, try comfortable bed. Perfect location just off the Main Square. Hotel itself is lovely, and the two small pools in the spa are wonderful. I had a long hot day being a tourist, and it was so nice to cool down in the serenity of the pool. As others have said, the TV worked only intermittently. Since I was traveling alone, it is nice to have the company of the TV to hear the news occasionally. But it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

The Hotel Stary is part of a chain of boutique hotels in Kraków and is somewhat on the expensive side. I've stayed here in previous trips and it was excellent. However, this trip, when I arrived at check in time, I had to wait for 20 minutes for my room to be ready. So I decided to have lunch while waiting, but the staff couldn't find any place for me to sit. A large group had taken over the dining area. Instead, I was offered something free to drink. When my room was ready, it took almost half an hour for my bag to arrive after two attempts delivering the wrong luggage (and my bag had a name tag on it). Late that afternoon, I took a bath in the whirlpool tub. When I turned on the jets, dirt and crap came out of the jets, which was disgusting. I reported the problem to the front desk and they apologized, but I had to ask for room service to come clean the bath. That evening I ate in the hotel restaurant which was offering a tasting menu, but after the fourth course of sometimes under cooked food, I asked for the check. With the food, water, and a glass of proseccio, I was charged about $100. The next day I checked out, and again they had difficulty finding my bag which I had placed in storage. With the high rating and cost of this hotel, I simply feel the quality of Stary has diminished and would not recommend staying here. And for the money I spent, I believe a guest should be acommodated in the restaurant.
