The Hotel could hardly be closer to Wawelm Castle ( a major tourist attraction in Krakow) but is still quiet & cosy. This also means it’s on the edge of the old town, where most of the attractions are- easy walking to everywhere. The room was basic but had all the essentials - en suite, shower, Tea & Coffee facilities (although you’ll need to get your own milk) Continental Breakfast is included and is extensive - all you could want, especially the scrambled eggs. The best feature though is the SkyBar- on the 6th floor with great views of the castle and river and a decent menu of snacks and meals. The only glitch was that signal was very patchy on the only English Language TV Station I could find - but that’s hardly essential.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pod Welwelem. Located right by the castle and easy 15 minute walk to the main square. The rooftop bar has a lovely view over the river. Buffet breakfast was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Taxis were plentiful. Parking available in underground carpark right outside.
