We have just returned from a weekend break in Krakow, staying at the Columbus Hotel. This hotel is ideally situated between jewish quarter and the old town with most places of interest within walking distance. We were allocated a quiet room at the rear of the building with a small balcony. The room was clean and very comfortable with a modern bathroom. Breakfast consisted of a wide choice of food which was replenished regularly. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful but the shining star here was receptionist Sylvia who was a gem. Amongst other things she arranged a trip for us at very short notice to the salt mines, recommended a wonderful restaurant (Trezo), and sorted out a mix up with our return transport to airport which failed to arrive (Hoppa Transport). She is a real credit to the hotel!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel as part of our tour of Krakow the hotel itself is nice, beds are comfortable and the staff are very helpful. the decor is something to be desired but the bathrooms are nice and modern. Krakow is a very cheap place to visit, the tours around the city are not very expensive and they are dotted around the place so are very easy to find. the hotel is situated in a very good location and ideal for the town centre as only a short walk away. The hotel staff even prepared us a packed lunch as we were going on the tour of Auschwitz and were going to be out most of the day. The hotel does offer room service, however there are no tea or coffee facilities provided in the rooms I had to keep calling down to reception for hot water to make a cup of tea. I don't think it would cost them much to put a kettle etc in the room this was the only downside.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. It's well placed for both the Jewish quarter and the old town. The rooms are clean, the beds comfy, the staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend it. Decor is traditional. Breakfast is simple but nice.

I cannot really add to the other reviews about this hotel, great staff , spotless throughout and excellent breakfast. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to the old town square and is right on the edge of the Jewish area of Kazmirez which is full of bars and restaurants (for those familiar with Manchester it is very similar to the Northern Quarter). I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and when I return to Krakow I will not be looking anywhere else.

The Hotel Columbus is located within the Jewish Quarter in Krakow, but is located within close proximity to other significant sites in the city. The staff was warm and welcoming and although we do not speak Polish, they were very kind in working with us to find restaurants and attractions that were of interest. We were surprised by breakfast, both by the size and variety of foods, the best breakfast we've had since we started our trip two weeks ago. Wawel Castle/Cathedral, Old Market, beautiful churches, etc. are all within a short walking distance and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who is traveling to Krakow - no complaints!!!

Columbus Hotel is located very close to the Jewish Quarter and within walking distance from the old city. It has excellent restaurants and shopping around. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, bedding very good. Even though we got a road facing room the night was quiet. There is a small garden where you can enjoy a drink or just chill. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Visited as a couple and would definitely go back.

Stayed here for a short 4 night city break, and found the hotel clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff are most helpful and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. Minor problems were dealt with and with a smile. Very handy location for the city and staff very informative.

Lovely hotel , situated on edge of the Jewish Quarter , perfect for sightseeing all the major attractions.Located right by a tram stop, but in all honesty nothing is more than 15-30 mins walk. Accommodation was great, clean , spacious and well decorated , good air conditioning and excellent double glazing, safe in room and very reasonably priced mini bar, with garden bar available on request.. Staff are beyond helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them , from printing boarding passes, to booking taxis /trips. Breakfast was wonderful, one of the best buffet breakfasts have had for along time, good selection of fruit , cereals cold meats and cheeses, and hot foods; all regularly checked and restocked. Plenty of restaurants within 5-10 mins of hotel , some really worth a visit, - one suggestion would be a guest comment book where you could recommend restaurants to other visitors. All in all an excellent stay , can't recommend it highly enough.

Excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of many interesting places to visit. Reception staff able to help with arranging visits to places you want to visit. Many nice places nearby to eat and drink. We definitely recommend staying at this property. The room was a good size with good storage and a large comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom with complementary shower gel etc.

Excellent stay, the service and the employees of this establishment are top class, can't fault it. Location was within easy reach of the major attractions we wanted to see almost all in easy reach on foot or Lokal transport. The tram stop was actually right outside the hotel and after figuring the payment system out, used it to travel between city centre and hotel.
