I stayed here as a couple last week for 5 nights in a de luxe room, the hotel is a Bali style older hotel but kept to a high standard the hotel would have received a 5 star rating from me ,the downsides are, the absence of an elevator in each block, our room was on 3rd floor ,I am fit but especially at night after a few drinks there are a lot of steps to negotiate . They advertise a a fitness center which turned out to be a hot room with poor air conditioning and weak ceiling fans, the equipment was non existent 1 running machine 1 exercise bike and some old rusty free weights I joined the gym just down the road ,also beware of many mosquitos in and around the rooms. The good points were the cleanliness all round , great breakfasts, nice pool and tropical atmosphere, very friendly staff
Nice hotel in a good location 10mins walk to the beach. A little over priced for what you get in terms of quality. A bit dated and worn in places, but overall it was acceptable and we enjoyed our visit and would stay again. The gardens located centrally in the hotel are very beautiful. The strongest asset to this hotel is the staff. Extremely attentive and we cannot sing their praises high enough. A big thank you to all concerned it was a pleasure to have met you all.
Before you read on, know from the beginning this is a positive review ... however I am going to be as honest as I can about the resort. Let's just say that the marketing manager at the Vogue in Ao Nang deserves full marks for representing the property to its full potential on it's own and all other sales portals. It is true that a 4* rating is very very generous indeed. The rooms that we booked (3206 & 3207 -connecting rooms) could do with a re-vamp as in fact could all areas of the resort .... but, the rooms we had were clean when we checked in, cleaned very well everyday with the linens refreshed on demand. Considering we paid £70 ($100) per room per night .... I think we got exactly what we paid for.... if you want Ritz Carlton standards then pay Ritz Carlton prices!! We did not use the restaurant choosing not to pay up front for breakfast .... there is plenty of choice on the Ao Nang strip at much better prices .... nor did we eat dinner there ... again, plenty of cheaper options in the town but it certainly looked busy every morning so I can only assume it was OK for those that booked breakfast. We did have lunch by the side of the splendid pool area one day and that was very well cooked to order on the poolside BBQ and priced very reasonably. All the staff at the Vogue we very helpful over-all and we're very friendly. There are no lifts anywhere but unless you have really restricted mobility the stairs are really not an issue. I use trip advisor almost every time I book a hotel in a new place so I rely on the honesty of other posters.... if you are travelling with a family on a reasonable budget then do not hesitate to book at The Vogue .... it is not perfect but there is very little wrong with it for the price paid.
So we booked a superior and deluxe room at this resort. The deluxe room was really dated and I don't think it was worth it especially in comparison to the superior which was just 10GBP more. For the 10gbp you get a beautiful room, robes, slippers and a lovely tub in the room. The deluxe room was really basic and you could easily find somewhere better in ao nang for thexample price we paid. The facilities at the resort were nice- the pool and spa area were lovely to relax at.
Having read some reviews before coming here I was unsure of this hotel, however I needn't have been...it is gorgeous! I stayed here for a week. The hotel has a great location in the heart of Krabi resort, 10 min walk to the beach, lovely pool, clean, comfy rooms and friendly helpful staff. Book early for a good deal, and ask for a room away from the construction works.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are great, the pool is fab and staff are really helpful. Some parts of the rooms are a little dated and could do with an upgrade, but overall this hotel is a great place to stay. Warning, the hotel is on a mountainside so there are lots of stairs and no lifts. We were on the third room and had 86 steps to get to our room.
this review is overdue as our stay was originally in 2015. hotel was good, we stayed in a deluxe honeymoon room, so our view from the balcony was excellent, loved sitting out there at nights with a cold singha. breakfast was good but not the best I have eaten in Asia. hotel is maybe starting to show its age now. I thought the location was very good, we enjoyed being up away from the beach.
We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel during a organized trip trough south of Thailand. It was probably the best choice of the whole trip No to be clear it is not perfect but is a typical thay hotel design , clean with very friendly stuff Just that a bit old-ish at certain parts Location is near the main roads without being noisy Good choice
Very friendly staff. Always ready to help you. Very good cappuccino at the breakfast. Rooms are cleaned, a bit older fourniture. The bathroom is large, but again a refresh of the equipment will be welcomed. The garden is nice with lots of plants. You can also choose a table for your breakfast inside this garden. The swimming pool is quite large, not crowded. ( we were in begin April). Just pay attention to the prices of the cocktails, they announced 180 B , but in the end you pay also the Taxes. Quite expensive for a cocktail which is not top quality. If you want a good and cheap cocktail, just go on the Main Street in front of the Moevenpick ice cream shop. For 99B you can get an excellent cocktail prepared by a very nice and smiley girl.
I don't usually write reviews but I have been absolutely compelled to write one for the Vogue Resort Ao Nang. I have been incredibly disappointed by this hotel. My partner and I decided to drop by Krabi on our way through South Thailand as part of our honeymoon. Our boat from Koh Yao Yao arrived early in Krabi so we decided to check in early and drop our bags. The reception informed us that our room was not ready, which we expected. We were asked to come back at 2pm, which worked out well as we had not eaten the whole morning and it was a good opportunity for us to check out the restaurants in Ao Nang. When we came back to the hotel at 2pm we were made to wait almost another hour until our room was ready. We were soaked from a downpour and were keen to get into our hotel room to freshen up so being made to wait an extra hour for our room to be ready was not a pleasant experience. When your booking confirmation states that check-in is at 2pm, there is an expectation that the room will be ready at 2pm. I have seen busier hotels in Patong work with more efficiency (i.e. The Senses - which I highly recommend). When we got into our room, it was definitely not like the photos on the websites. The shower was dirty, the toilet smelled like urine, and the bed sheets had scuff marks and had tears in the covers. I am trying to sleep in their bed right now. It is 2am and I cannot fall asleep as I am very uncomfortable. My partner and I also tried booking tours with them today. The reception desk was friendly enough, but we had to pay our tours in cash as they were not accepting credit cards. There was a POS machine on the desk right in front of us so I don't see why we couldn't pay by card. We have three nights left here and I am seriously considering abandoning at least my final night here for another cleaner, friendlier hotel. I refuse to end our great honeymoon in a place like this. It's a shame because I'm sure Krabi has so much more to offer, but people are being left with such a poor impression because of hotels like the Vogue Ao Nang. I spent AUD$150 per night for this hotel. In the current state this hotel is in, the standard rate for this hotel should be $50
