The hotel is in the city of Kota Kinabalu! All the staff especially mechelle the trainee who always helps us! The place is very good especially the sunset view! Hope to stay again here once again! The only bad thing is the staff name hong if im not mistaken because she is so rude! I dont know what her problem. But I will still give 5 star because of the other staff and the management! Good food and drinks!
Stayed here for 2 nights, was a great place to stay for a city break or stop over. Rooms were big, clean, and the bed was really comfy!!! The food was quite good, staff nice and the pool facilities were great. I was treated to a 90 min spa package by my boyfriend which was so good and would recommend! I was worked on by Clarice who was lovely and very good at her job! Would stay here again definitely if we were back in KK.
Stayed for 2 nights in the newly renovated vista sea view room. Very spacious with an awesome view of the sea. A stone throw away from various shopping centres, the local market and waterfront pubs/restaurants. Didn't even have to leave hotel for food. Favola is one of the best italian food I've had- you have to give it a try! The steak literally melts in your mouth and the freshness of the seafood and the flavours mixed together in the seafood pasta was to die for.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nites, non smoking room no. 710 We are the organiser for the event as well. The room facilities were above expectation, spacious, comfy bed and pillows, nice interior, cooling room, big lcd screen tv and i love the toilet most, especially the rain shower. Everything felt like home. The only drawbacks are the toilet seat which I think the cleaner broke it on the 2nd day of my stay, the aircond temperature was too cold which I was told that we cant control it as it has been centralised. 3rd comment is on the make up room service. I came up to my room when I had my finished my 1st session of the programme at 1.30pm. To my surprise my room was not cleaned up yet and the cleaner was settling other rooms which were to be ready for people to check in. I was a bit upset and called the room service for an immediate clean up. They came immediately to attend to my request. That needs to be improved as the make up room service was pretty slow. Otherwise everything is perfect. Since we organised an event at the ballroom and coming all the way from KL to ensure that the event set up was as expected. We met with the Event Specialist, Puteri Nabiela ie Bella to make the arrangements. She was very helpful and comprehended with all of our requests. The event setup was great, the people were very accomodating and everything met our expectation. These improvements are required for a better management: 1. The coffee set up needs to be ready on time. They need to standby few people at the foyer. 2. Food replenishment also a bit slow, they have to be alert in ensuring food were being replenished immediately. People waited for the food and they lingering around finding other options but all trays were empty. 2. The mini chicken burger should be disseminated from the menu, its too kiddie meal for a professional event. The breakfast spread was good too..but the nasi lemak choice of lauk should not be served with ayam masak tomato, the combo is so no no. The coffee house seems crowded for breakfast and such a cramp space for people to get out from their table to get their food. To Le Meridien staff, am enjoying my stay so much. I just hope all of the above comments can make them become better and stand out to become the best hotel service in Sabah. Wish you all the best and keep up the momentum as being one of the best hotel in Sabah!
A must try chicken rice and nasi lemak at Latest Recipe restaurant. Excellent service and beautiful rooms with a view! Located in town, close to airport, access to islands 10 min away, tours provided at the hotel, spa services and other tour packages available too. Full amenities provided and free WiFi. Highly recommended for everyone, whether you're on a business trip or family holiday. Lots of activities to cater for everyone.
I come here on the June with my family and stayed here for 3 days 2 night. We checked in in a nice room very clean and seaview room. The day after we go to island for diving, after come back from the island my son not feeling well so I call to the front desk and a Chinese lady helped me and bring me to the nearest clinic. She was helpful and friendly, when see the doctor she help me translate and let me understand, your hotel need more Chinese staff like - Diana Ou. Very appreciate with her kindness
Stayed 1 night in renovated sea view room. Big room with all amenities and comfortable bedding. Check in was prompt. Swimming pool nice size and very refreshing. Bar serves good drinks and offers happy hour on certain cocktails. Hotel has a high standard. If you want seafood dinner outside. Go to Welcome seafood restaurant. Very good seafood for a cheap price.
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is excellent as it is right in the middle of town so everything is just on your doorstep ie markets, shopping, restaurants, boat jetty etc. The rooms are large and very comfortable with comfy chairs to sit in if wanting to read a book or just relax and look at the view.We had a stunning view and I would definitely suggest opting for a room looking out over the South China Sea. The sunsets were stunning. The bathroom was Lao large, no bath but a great shower. Breakfasts were also fabulous, with a huge variety of cuisines on offer, some of which was cooked to order at the various stations. Most importantly I need to mention the staff who were exceptional, from the boys on the front doors, to those in the restaurants, cleaning the lift, at the pool and at the front desk. They were all so friendly, polite, cheerful and helpful. We really enjoyed talking with Mechelle and the other staff up in the lounge who made us feel so welcome and special. There is also a really nice pool and a good gym. We did not eat in the hotel restaurants except for breakfast so cannot really comment about these. If wanting to stay a few days in KK I would thoroughly recommend you stay here.
Very comfortable hotel and good location for exploring the numerous surrounding markets including the Sunday markets on Gaya street. The service is very good and the evening buffet is fun! The staff are ever helpful and smiling! We had a very good introduction to Kota Kinabalu.
A great location with amazing views over the markets and sea looking towards a water village and islands. Incredibly comfortable beds and the best breakfast selection .the tour desk staff are very helpful
