Strategically located hotel with malls and market across the road, within walking distance. Room was huge and clean, very comfortable, great choice especially traveling with toddlers. We spent most of our time by the children pool, they have the ever helpful staff entertaining my kids need, e.g. extra towel, warm water, ice-cream, hot chocolate, snacks... thumbs up! Sunset view by the pool was amazing.. Front office staff were super accommodating, our checking-in and out was handled professionally and super smooth, friendliest staff ever. Widespread of breakfast menu. Will definitely come back! Highly recommended hotel.
Stayed for more than 2 weeks in LMKK. My experience was perfect. As a Platinum member of Bonvoy, received the following: - upgraded to Suite Room., - complimentary drink at bar behind the pool on daily basis. - complimentary late check out. - complimentary car park Also, - excellent staff in attending guest. - most strategic location - perfect view for sunset Highly recommended hotel!!!
Great location. Near to the local markets, malls & seafood eateries. Room clean, brightly lit & spacious. Hard mattress & comfy pillows Friendly & helpful staff. Good selection of breakfast. However, windows need serious cleaning. The brown streaks mar the seaview & I was too embarrassed to post pics of seaview taken frm my windows. Supposed to be 5-starred hotel, right? LOL. Door of shower stall couldn't be closed properly resulting in very wet floor & floor mat. Overall, great place to stay in. :-)
Amazing breakfast and nice amenities. Located at the heart of the city and very accessible. Great sea view. Warm and cheerful staff who were there to guide us in planning our trip. Highly recommend for stay at kk
Stayed here for one night and found the room quite sparse and a bit old requiring refurbishing. The breakfast spread is good. But lunching at the cafe food took along time to arrive even though thw taste is ok.
The hotel is a five star hotel situated in town centre. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bathroom is very spacious. We stayed in a two bedded room. There is a lovely swimming pool, fitness centre and massage too.Breakfast was mainly continental and local mix and had a variety. The staff are friendly and courteous. The hotel is close to the Philippines Market selling from fresh and preserved marine tiems to ornaments.Bargain to half the price and if you then refuse you create anger. So bargain if you really want them. The esplanade nearby is worth an evening walk. There are Chinese,Indian and Muslim restaurents walking distance from the hotel. It was my first stay in the hotel and I would recommend to others as a good choice
This is my first time visit Kota Kinabalu. Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu Hotel inspired me about travelling at Kota Kinabalu. I stay in the hotel for 2 night. First night I've just finished Mt.Kinabalu 1 day tour. So when I arrived hotel already 5:30pm. Thanks Front desk team provide fast Check-in service. So that I can relax in my lovely room. Especially, I should mention the best staff, Mr.Malcolm. I'm very appreciate Mr.Malcolm provide me excellent service. When I walk through the reception, he greeting me with smile and help me check in. He is patient, courtesy and passionate about his work. Mr.Malcolm asking me about my planning in Sabah and he introduce some attractions for me. And care about me if I need any breakfast / late check out service. I can say Mr.Malcolm is a professional hotel staff. Because he know about my booking details and preference so that he provide smooth service. Also thanks me as a Marriott Bonvoy member. Fortunately, Mr.Malcolm assist me again when check out! Thank you for providing Best Arrival & Departure Experience, Mr.Malcolm. Also, thanks for all staffs from Le Meriden Kota Kinabalu Hotel. I had a great vacation here!

Was at this hotel for 1 night and my review as follows: 1) Location: Located on the busy side of the city - just opposite waterfront. The Phillipino market is just beside the hotel. There is indoor parking in the hotel but only 2 floors. When we were there - on weekdays, parking seems to be plenty. It is within walking distance/short grab ride to most attraction/restaurants in the city. So, i think the location is very good. 2) Lobby and Check In: The lobby is very crowded and to make it worst, they cordoned the lobby area to cater for buka puasa dinner buffet. Hence, check in was not pleasant due to limited space. Check in was ok and friendly as what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Welcome drink is just infused water placed at the side of the lobby - not something you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It can be better and more exclusive. 3) Room 0539 and 0540 Room is definitely spacious, luxury, bright and modern. Rooms had partial sea view. The mattress, duvet and pillows were heavenly. Bathroom is spacious with marble tiles and with a proper bathtub and seperate rainshower stall. I have no complaints on the room - it is definitely 5 star worthy and I did have a very good rest and sleep at this hotel. Two thumbs up. 4) Wifi It is free and good speed. 5) Buffet Breakfast I think the spread is just decent for a 5 star hotel. The special part is that they have yogurt ice cream but only 2 or 3 flavours. I love the teh tarik stall. Coffee and Cappucino tasted diluted - hope the hotel can improve on this. They also offer fresh blended fruit juices upon enquiry with the waiter - as on the buffet line, they only have those chilled bottled juices. In terms of food presentation - it was just ok, it doesnt look or feel luxury. Overall, i think the buffet breakfast can be better. Overall, i think this is a very good city hotel and most importanlyly the rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable. Highly recommended.
when you ask about which hotel is good in KK, most people would recommend Le Meridien. We stayed here for 3 nights. The service at counter is good. Rooms are clean. As for the location, the Philipines' market and night market is right in front of the hotel. To the left of the market, there is a row of seaside bars and restaurants. Not the best location I would say ( it's a bit dirty in front of hotel due to proximity to the night market), it is close to a few malls nearby where you can do your money exchange, cheap massage, seafood restaurants and some local food court and cinema. A bit far away from my favourate Gaya Street though.
