Killarney Ireland is a bit like Irish Branson, MO if you have ever been. We greatly enjoyed the biking and just wandering the crazy town. The hotel has its perks but you need to be prepared for two things. +Location is great and close to a Tesco, Bike Rental, and train station (Kebab Inn was great). +We were able to get 2 beds for a reasonable price. -20% of the rooms face a courtyard where they have loud music 2000's cover band playing. We could not go to sleep on a Thursday before 11:30PM and 12:30PM on Friday. Then people decided to run and scream down the halls after 12:30 (not the hotels fault; just dumb people). -The wifi was utter dreadful at least in our room. It worked between 6AM and 6:30AM in minute intervals. I called the desk and all they said was yeah a a lot of people are at the pub on it. They do not password protect it and let people in their busy pub use it. If you are going to advertise high speed wifi in the modern times, at least hire a person to set up two access logins and let your customers able to use it. Could not even load websites or email. I wouldn't mind the late music as much if I could actually watch something on my computer.

We checked in within two minutes. Host was friendly and had our room ready when we showed up. Got to the room and realized we might be in the wrong ro since we originally booked a two single bed room and we walked in and it was a mini apartment. I walked back down to the desk and asked if I was in the wrong room and he replied they gave is a free upgrade! The hotel is nice and the staff is very friendly. Recommend staying here as it is right in the heart of the city.

Prime location with a great bar and restaurant. Fair price for quality of hotel. Only negative is that with the downtown location, there is some noise with music and folks partying. But nothing terrible

Loved our stay at this hotel in Killarney downtown. A 15 minute walk from the train and bus stations. Great location just off the Main Street in the middle of the city. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay, the room with 2 double beds was large, with lots of cable TV stations, room safe, large bathroom and was very quiet. No refrigerator- would have made it perfect. The hotel staff were wonderful! Will stay there again!

After reading the reviews for Eviston House I was expecting a clean/comfortable B&B style accommodation. I was disappointed to find several issues with our room. It was located on the top floor and the elevators were out. Additionally, it got extremely hot in the summer. We tried sleeping with the windows open but because of the location then there are several pubs surrounding the hotel that get unbelievably noisy at night. The wifi did not work in the room and on the last day of our stay some of the radiators on the top floor turned on making the stay absolutely unbearable. We overhead the staff discussing this issue while sitting in the hallway trying to use the wifi. When we called down to ask to change rooms due to the unbearable heat and noise levels at night the manager argued with us and had another staff member call us back to discuss the issue. We were thankfully moved to a lower, quieter room. In that room we were disgusted to discover that one of the pillowcases had a dried booger crusted onto it. Finally, all of the mattresses in these 2 rooms were sunken in the middle or sloped to one side. In summary: if you are looking for a centrally located affordable place to stay this is it. If you want clean, comfortable, or quiet accommodations then I suggest you look elsewhere.

We happened to be here during an unusually hot spell the end of June. The temps were in the upper 80*, there is no air conditioning here, our room was on the 3rd floor. I bet our room was at least 90* until dawn! The room was clean, staff was great.

Room was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessities, including a kettle and tea. The door did not dampen sound and I could hear my neighbor coming and going, but it was otherwise fairly quiet. Free evening parking in a nearby lot. The restaurant had live music, and was very accommodating when I ordered food to take up to my room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eviston House. The rooms and bathrooms were adequate, nothing fancy. Breakfast was buffet style with the usual Irish offerings. The staff were all very friendly and responded within minutes to provide additional towels when requested. The parking is very limited and a little hard to get to but we were able to take advantage of it. Hotel is in the heart of Killarney so there are a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We chose to take a guided tour of the Ring of Kerry so no one in our group would miss out on the views - wise decision. The Danny Mann Pub is on the first floor of the hotel and has traditional Irish music every night. Bartenders are rather snarky but in a fun way. Ate lunch there on our day of arrival and the food was very good. We would definitely stay at Eviston House again.
