The hotel was fantastic - more like halfway between guesthouse and hotel. Killarney is very expensive at high season hence my score on value for money. The room was enormous; spotless; the shower was very powerful but the main thing was the silence. I cannot remember the last time I slept in a hotel and didnt hear a sound even though it was fully booked! The staff really add to this location - special mention must go to Willie for looking after us at night; to Sarah for cooking the most beautiful food and having the chats and to Catherine for taking care of us. The staff are the making of here. Location couldn't be better - 10 min walk to the train station; 2 mins from the centre of town.
Well appointed hotel clean quiet and loads of wood decor. Irish breakfast was delicious and kudos to Claudia who was our bar tender that made us feel so welcome and so proud of her heritage. Total asset to your company.
We had a penthouse suite which was very large, well-appointed, and clean. The hotel is located within a couple of minutes walk of downtown Killarney. The hotels which are directly downtown could be very noisy on weekends and holidays. The staff members are very friendly and helpful, with lots of suggestions for things to do and restaurants in the area. The breakfast was quite good, and Catherine was very willing to grant our special requests!
We spent excelent 3 days in this hotel. It is very comfortable and quite place right in the center of the town but away from crowds and noises. The rooms are very large with beautiful views to the gardens and very comfy beds. Very clean and nice smell. The personel was very nice and helpfull with an excelent service. We very much recommend it.
This is a very nice place to stay!!!! Rooms are very clean!!! We had breakfast at the hotel and it was always delicious!!! Catherine was our waitress every morning of our stay in Killarney !! She always greeted us with a smile....very friendly and helpful during our stay. She is one of the many reasons we found Ireland as the best vacation.... Thank you Catherine for your hospitality !!!!
This little gem is just off the high street in Killarney. I stayed June 17-20th. I was so pleased to learn I had been upgraded to the Jacuzzi Suite! The room was huge with a large bathroom with jacuzzi tub, a separate dressing area with large closet, and a huge bedroom with couch, dresser, table and king bed. The suite was on the 2nd floor and on the corner so had lovely views of the lawn and mountains in the background. It was so charming, I felt like I just wanted to stay forever. I did see some guests during my stay but it felt very private and my room was tucked away in the corner so felt like I had the whole place to myself. I checked in with Vance who was super helpful. When I got into my room and had trouble with the tub, he came up right away and fixed it for me. I appreciated that he went the extra mile to make sure my first experience with them was a good one. The hotel is very close to the High Street and tons of restaurants, pubs and shopping. There is a decent breakfast in the hotel restaurant which i took advantage one morning. This was my favourite hotel during my entire week stay in Ireland. The hotel itself was amazing and Killarney is an amazing little town off the Ring of Kerry. There are lots of options for accommodation in Killarney but for the price and quality of the accommodations, I highly recommend the Brook Lodge Hotel. If I ever get back to the West Coast of Ireland, I would absolutely stay here again.
Good location. Very good breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and willing to offer recommendations. Location was good, easy to walk to pubs, restaurants, etc. Off street parking was very convenient as well. Sara was great!
Great location, walking distance to the center of The fun of Killarney. The breakfast was delicious. The biggest downside was the hotel bar was basically nonexistent - not a place to hang out when you come in after your evening out.
We just returned from a weekend in the brook lodge hotel , I can’t believe I haven’t found this hotel before , it is such a gem ! The rooms are a great size and the breakfast was fantastic the best I’ve had in a hotel in Killarney! Sarah really looked after us ! It’s in a great location only 5 minutes walk to centre of town!
Stayed 2 nights during a golf trip. Rooms were large with a big window. Comfortable bed and nice sized bathroom. Our room was a little dated and looked nothing like the rooms shown on the hotels website. The biggest disappointment was the lack of a restaurant on premises. There is apparently a sister property nearby where you can have a meal. There is a morning breakfast service at the hotel from 7:30-10 am. The morning I arrived at 8:30, the bistro was filled with people or dirty tables. No coffee at the buffet, staff was running around. I opted for continental since there was no hope of getting a menu. One of the other patrons told me that she had the same experience for her entire visit. My husband went earlier in the morning and had reasonable service. After breakfast, getting water or a drink from the bar is handled by the receptionist. No water in the room. I would look elsewhere for a hotel if in Killarney.
