Nightlife in Kildare

After the sun goes down, shake a tail feather or grab a drink in Kildare. Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club, The French Paradox Wine Shop & Wine Bars and Kealy's are good places to belly up to the bar and order a cold drink or chat with the locals — or both.

Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley

Good hotel close to Dublin

We got this hotel as part of a flight-car-hotel package (for nine nights) and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. Though our room was a FAR walk from the main lobby with--count them--290 steps to the parking lot, the hotel was clean, comfortable, the bed was great, and the staff friendly. The shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor, though, due to a poor setup in the shower door structure, and the wait one night in the hotel restaurant was 40 minutes for our food (and with very mediocre service). Food is great, though. Terrific family atmosphere with lots of kids and families on holiday. Enjoyed talking with other guests and their kids (though noise was an issue most evenings, especially on the weekends). Five-minute walk to a mall and 20 minutes into Dublin city center. Would like to have been closer to city center, but it was also convenient to M50, helpful for our other day trips.
