This place was exactly what I expected. It was easy to find and get in when we landed late at night. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our two week stay. The elevators were nice and close which worked really well for my Mom to get access to the pool and then walk to the ocean front. We would stay here again.

Spectacular Maui Sunset

We loved our time at Maui Sunset, the grounds and facilities are immaculate. Great location, easy parking and great view from the lanai. The unit has a well stocked kitchen, however, the unit itself is quite tired and in need of some basic upkeep. It served us well for what we needed but was not cleaned well and felt a bit shabby. Many things need replacing and cleaning - For those reasons I can't quite relate to it as 5 star property, but overall it was adequate and we had a fantastic time!

The one downside I found was that the view of the pool made my kids only want to go to the pool, so it was tough to convince them to go do other things.

Maui Sunset

Location: good location with good condo amenities: pool & shuffle board. Connected to a public park that has tennis and pickle ball courts and a beach. Beach is sandy but with lots of rocks and makes wading in water quite challenging. This isn’t a great swimming beach, but was nice for sand castles. Sunsets were beautiful. Given the public park there were a couple of homeless folks living out of cars adjacent to the property and the park, but they kept to themselves.Short drive into town with fantastic restaraunts!Overall impression of the property is that it is quite dated. Layout of the condo is good with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Good included amenities provided by management company (soap towels, laundry supplies, trash bags etc,Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes.The lanai is fantastic with great views of the water, palm trees, pool and the ocean. The sunsets are truly gorgeous.Cleanliness of this rental was not great, gave it 3 stars. Lots of dust on lamps and light fixtures. Odd red splatter (like shampoo or hair dye splattered on the hallway bathroom wall) And the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned in a way I’d have expected when arriving. If the management company hired a better quality cleaner and gave it a deeper clean then the property is fined. Perhaps the cleaner used was skipped some steps since checked in around Christmas.Bedroom linens and furniture are dated and it felt like we were staying in the Golden Girls home.

Great location in Kihei! Loved easy access to beach, nice pool with hot tub and several outdoor grills available for use. Condo is as described and was comfortable for 4 adults. The view did not disappoint!

Love the property and the views. Always clean, AC works great. Close to so much. Really appreciated the clothes pods, dishwasher pods, hand soap, garbage bags and sturdy pots and pans. Second year in a row staying in this unit. Will be back!!

We loved Maui Sunset. The condo was exactly as listed. We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen only had salt & pepper and coffee filters. It was fully stocked with all things needed to cook and serve food. Lots of beach chairs. We left some more spices, cooking spray and snorkeling gear for the next group to enjoy. We would definitely stay again.

What a view!

We stayed at the Maui Sunset for 7 nights and absolutely loved calling this condo home. It was spacious for a family of 5! The kitchen was fully stocked, washer and dryer so helpful, dishwasher, etc.. And....WHAT A VIEW! From the moment we walked in we were thrilled with the view of the ocean, pool and incredible scenery. We all enjoyed sitting on the patio and relaxing during the day and night. The A/C was also very much appreciated as the days were hot. Great location too. We traveled to Wailea, Lahaina, and Hana with no problem at all. Highly recommend!

Wonderful View

We traveled with a family of 5 and this place in Kihei was an excellent location. Close to so many things we wanted to do and the view out the window was incredible. The house was very clean, the bed linens were good quality and looked new, there was a plethora of nice bath towels and a good mix of beach equipment. I’m a little bit of a clean freak so I did notice dusty baseboards and room corners but really the rest of the house was sparkling clean. I would mention the started pack of shampoo is 0.5 oz, so make sure you bring your own, but there was ample soap, detergent, plastic wrap, etc. This condo had plenty of space and lots of seating in and outside. We never heard our neighbors, nice and quiet area. We were very comfortable here, a good price for Maui and a nice slightly less busy area than farther north.

Great location/island feel vs high tourist feel

Great beaches, centrally located to everything on the island. Nice little shops and parks. Activities all around. Beautiful sunsets right from the lanai. Very well stocked kitchen and amenities, towels and beach chairs. The landscapers and pool maintenance was impeccable as well. Would stay again.

Very nice views and open living area. Lots of room on the balcony with good mix of furniture on it. It points northwest which is nice as it's mostly shaded from the look late day sun. I would stay here again!

The location is perfect. Clean with a wonderful ocean view.

The elevator to access the condo was always working which was wonderful. We never had to worry about a parking spot as there was always one available which was very helpful. It was easy to drive around the island. A couple of grocery stores very close as well. However we do recommend to stop at Costco on the way from the airport to pick up the larger items. The beach chairs that were provided were a wonderful addition. If you wanted to swim directly out the front of this condo I would suggest to bring some water shoes as the bottom was a bit rocky. Beach was super sandy but water was rocky. There are many beautiful beaches just south at the Kamaole Beaches. Highly recommend to bring a collapsible cooler to take drinks/snacks down to the beach. And don't forget Reef Safe sunscreen. Everything you could have needed in the room was there in terms of kitchen items. Washer and dryer worked great if we needed to do a quick load. We had a family of 5 adults so we pulled out the hide a bed every night for 13 nights. It was easy and not a problem. There was still lots of room to move around even if the bed was to be left out. We saw from other reviews that the lights to the kitchen were on the end of the island and the fan control/light in the living room was located at the other end of the island. There was never an issue with "how do we turn something on or off" The AC worked awesome and would cool off the place when we needed it. Our AC was leaking and creating some water for the people below us. The management informed us when they would be coming and were there to fix it all in a very timely manner. Checking in and out was very easy. Everything was very clean and well kept. Having 2 washrooms with showers was wonderful for 5 people. This condo was spacious for 5 people. We used the pool, hot tub and gym almost daily. They were never closed for any reason. We also used the BBQ's in the middle of the complex. Great place to cook dinner and meet other guests/residents. The 6:00 pm Conch blowing made us giggle the days we were at the condo at that time of day. What a cool thing to do! There is a market to get souvenirs, pharmacy, grocery store and church all within walking distance (if you like to walk) The view was amazing! People were so friendly all round the area/island. We would book this place again if it is available! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

Unit is exactly like pictures; well-equipped kitchen; A/C great but limited by timers; queen bed bad

Lovely grounds, views. Easy access to beach. Excellent place to watch sunset. Timers on A/C are annoying but AC works well. We never found the kitchen light switch. Only 4 beach towels provided. Ice machine in fridge does not work but ice is available from poolside ice machine.

Stunning Views!

We booked this property for a family reunion post Covid, and it was just perfect for us. There were two couples in this unit, and it provided plenty of space for everyone. It was great having two good size bedrooms and each couple having our own bathroom. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted, and made stay at home nights really easy. The BBQ facilities were also great. The pool is very good, and the pool area very well maintained. We enjoyed hanging out there every day. The views from the apartment are divine! The beach was the only let down… very rocky and not good for walking and swimming but there are great beaches close by so not a huge issue. Overall, we were happy and would recommend this unit.

Great location and lovely condo

The location was great and very walkable. The condo is lovely. The bedrooms face the outdoor hallway in the back of the unit so people do walk by the windows but it was pretty quiet. The main living space was so bright and had a lovely view. Highly recommend.

Beautiful grounds with a condo in need of an update

I’m rating this a 4 star because of the location and the condo grounds. The view was amazing from the balcony, most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. My 3 teenagers loved the grounds and all the activities such as swimming pool, shuffleboard, bocce ball and pickle ball. The location was close to everything and some great swimming beaches just miles away. The condo was poorly cleaned especially the bathroom. It didn’t even look like the sink was cleaned at all. The condo is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. It could really nice with some updating, everything is old and outdated and the family room furniture needs to be replaced. I would definitely stay at the Maui Sunset but just in a different unit. The beach chairs were a nice surprise. The size of the unit is perfect for 4 people but a little cramped for 5.

Beautiful views from room and balcony

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Maui Sunset. The room was very nice, beds were comfortable. Views were wonderful - large windows and sliding doors allowed us to enjoy the tropical breeze and ocean views. Loved the beachfront location and the family enjoyed playing shuffleboard.
