Beautiful property but condo is lacking

Makena Surf is a beautiful property with great amenities. A great (public) snorkeling spot on the south side and a wonderful sandy beach on the north side. The property itself has great amenities such as two pools, tennis courts, bbq area and gorgeous landscaping. It is beyond the Wailea resorts and has a much quieter vibe. We stayed in a different unit last year and loved it so much returned this year. The issue is with the unit itself. This particular unit is not being maintained in a way that reflects how much you pay for the unit. When we arrived, the glass deck railing was so dirty we had to buy a bottle of windex and clean it ourselves (no cleaning supplies in condo whatsoever). One of the deck screen door sliders is in need of repair because it doesn't slide open but requires a screwdriver to fix (no tools in condo). There are few light fixtures in the condo and the ones that are there are either not working or missing actual lightbulbs. Missing lightbulb in master bath, guest room table lamp does not work, dining room fixture not working properly due to broken dimmer. There are no extra lightbulbs in the unit. Carpet is extremely worn with numerous large stains. No written instructions inside condo for anything about the unit or the property. The unit's furnishings are bare bones and he kitchen has just enough equipment to get by and nothing extra. We were disappointed with the quality and upkeep of the condo and would not rent it again.

The view

The view from the lanai was memorable. Each late afternoon we sat and watched the sun set as someone blew a conch shell. The gardens, pool and beach are exceptional. There is a sense of peace here.
