Beautiful Beach and Sunset Views

This condo is in a perfect spot for incredible views, including sunsets. It’s on the top floor (6) and facing the perfect direction. One delightful surprise was the ability to go snorkeling right outside the condo. There are rocky areas between the three Kamaole beaches, and we saw zillions of tropical fish along with sea turtles. Snorkel/boogie board/surf board rentals are all just a quick walk away. Our daughters took surf lessons in a cove that was about a mile up the road. The condo building is fine, a little dated but maintained with two elevators that we didn’t have to wait long for, and the condo has been updated. We didn’t cook but it appeared the kitchen is stocked with basics. We ate most dinners at the Wailea resorts, a quick drive away (10 mins). We also ordered carry out food from the Coconut restaurant across the street and enjoyed a sunset dinner on the lanai. One downside to the lanai is the air conditioning unit is out there and blows hot air. It makes part of the small lanai not as usable. However we appreciated having the AC and the condo was always a really comfortable temperature. The Ali’i staff was friendly and responsive when we had an issue with the dishwasher. We are already considering going back to Maui and staying in the same condo if we are lucky enough to get it.

Amazing Place, location is A+++

We loved staying at this place. Perfect fit for two adults and three kids. The location may be the best in all of Kihei- easy walking distance to multiple beaches, restaurants, shops, etc. This place is so relaxing, perfect for morning coffee sessions and evening sunsets in the water. Kihei is so nostalgic for our family and we loved our time staying here. We'll definitely be back!!

The Condo was clean and the view was fantastic. The air conditioning was great. Beds firm but very comfortable. We were disappointing in the small amount of silverware and dishes. The furniture on the lanai was not what was pictured on the website. The furniture on the website was more lounge and comfortable looking. The furniture there was plastic bamboo, elevated and uncomfortable. The management company that was taking care of the condo was very attentive.

This unit did not disappoint at all. Perfect accommodations for a family of 5. Comfortable beds and nice kitchen amenities. ACs worked perfectly. It’s great to stay at a place where you can snorkel just outside your door and see so many turtles.

Kihei, Maui Ocean View

Nice property as older condominiums in this area of Maui go. Our room on the sixth floor had a great view of the beach and ocean. The suite was very nice with two bedrooms, main living room and a kitchen. Everything was as advertised. We did have a couple of problems that were never resolved while we were there. The dishwasher never worked but because we didn't report it until the second day (we spent two days trying to get it to work), the owner would only give us a small credit for the last 4 days of our stay. There were nice televisions in the main living room and each of the bedrooms, however they were difficult to operate and had no instructions. Despite the tech coming to our room a couple of times, the bedroom TV's never worked and the main room TV was in and out of service. Note: The air conditioning to the unit has been added post-original construction, with the air handling unit placed on the balcony. It did blow hot air on you if you sat anywhere on that side of the balcony.

A good family vacation place

Overall our family had a good stay at this property for a week. Very nice location that has direct access to the beach and just across the street for good restaurants and grocery store; condo building is very well maintained and is very clean; beautiful view from living room or just sitting on the balcony; tiled floor is very clean; property management office was very responsive etc. But two things prevent us from giving it a five star: first: the dishwasher racks were covered by mold the first time when we opened it, and it took a couple of days for the management office to diagnose and fix the malfunctioned heating panel and disinfect it; second, a couple of dining plates and bowls have chips on the edge and they should have been replaced.

The location on 6th floor was great. The condo is a bit tired!

The view, beach and roof top are amazing. The management was great. The condo needs to be refreshed with a complete set of dishes and silverware, additional wine glasses and replacing a lanai chair. We stayed in a nicer one for less before. It would be nice to have a chair in the living area as well.

Great location in Kihei

The property managers of this condo are outstanding! The beach chairs needed replacing - done within hours. The coffee pot broke - brand new, in the box coffee maker delivered while we sat on the beach. Wow! Great service! Their communication with us was exceptional. Note they do not have any beach umbrellas, but there is a local company that will rent you one for the week (about the same cost as buying one at Costco honestly, but who has the luggage space to haul a beach umbrella). The unit itself is a bit small but adequate for 4 adults for a week. Rooms are tight. A single couch, so if you're watching the Olympics someone is sitting on a kitchen chair. Bathrooms are not ensuites - but close proximity to the bedrooms. The kitchen is functional for 1 person to cook. Good supplies - though a 9x13 casserole dish would be a nice addition. The unit itself is actually perpendicular to the beach - facing north. To watch the sunset in February, we had to go up onto the roof garden... Which is a fabulous area! The roof garden has multiple tables and chairs for relaxing or dining, barbecues (at least 4, but I didn't count), and tremendous views of the ocean, Haleakala, and the West Maui Mountains. Definitely worth checking out. There is are some convenient stores and restaurants within walking distance. I would also recommend using their car rental service as that was super convenient to pick up the car in the airport parking lot - and drop it off there as well. Saved us the time/hastle of going to the car rental building.

Location, location, location!

Views of beach and islands from living area, master bedroom and patio are stunning. Beach is steps away - absolutely beautiful and good for snorkeling and turtle watching. Pool, lounge areas, and rooftop grill area were clean, quiet, and not overcrowded. Unit is clean, well-stocked with essentials, updated kitchen and baths. Tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Management was friendly but unobtrusive and checkout was easy as they took care of everything; no last-minute laundry or cleaning. In addition to beaches, pool, and proximity to shopping and restaurants, with a rental car we were within easy distance of multiple excursions - Haleakalā, road to Hana, old town Lahaina, snorkel tours, and luaus (we went to the ones at the Marriott and the Waldorf Astoria in nearby Wailea). And definitely stock up on gas and essentials at the airport Costco. All in all, a fabulous trip and we can’t wait to return.

What’s not to like like. Ocean view. Have stayed at the Royal Mauian 3 times and this was the best condo. Tastefully decorated with all the amenities required for a 5 night stay. Rooftop dining was enjoyable. The only thing I wished the Royal Mauian had on the rooftop was umbrellas. One day it got scorching hot and unbearable to eat.

Everything about this condo was excellent. The location was amazing. The condo was perfect. We came with our adult children who loved snorkeling just steps from the condo - literally. They saw turtles every day. Across the street were wonderful shops - health food, restaurants, ice cream shops and of course ABC stores. I would highly recommend it. We will be back.

Clean condo, nice location

Condo was exactly as the listing described. Nothing more, nothing less. The furnishings and art were a bit spartan, but it was immaculately clean. We've stayed at the Royal Mauian before, and while this wasn't my favorite condo or location in the building, it's hard to beat the location as a whole. We had very noisy neighbors while we were there, but that is just luck of the draw. The view from the lanai was fantastic, great sunsets and great vantage point to watch the turtles each day. Kam I and II beaches are super close by and they are two of our favorite beaches on Maui. Great restaurants across the street. The Ali'i mgmt was very responsive and helpful while we were there, and it was nice that they left supplies such as dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. Although we would probably try a different unit next time, it was very fairly priced and it was a great stay.

We had an excellent time in Maui! This was our first time there, so I can't compare this condo to others on the island, but we've stayed at many other VRBO's, and this was the best so far! Excellent location, right next to a GREAT beach, and perfectly located for all of the things we wanted to do in Maui. We swam with turtles every day, right outside of our condo! We went to other beaches, but really, Kamole Beach was our favorite - not too busy, clean, and great places to snorkel and boogie board. The condo was very comfortable, clean, and accommodated a family of 4 just fine. The bed in the master was so comfortable, that I actually looked to see what brand of mattress it was because I want to buy one just like it. The twin beds in the second room could be better, but the kids slept fine in them. It is a bit loud in the second bedroom, but we brought a small white noise machine and they had no problem. The only negative I would say is the deck. It's a beautiful view, and the kids ate breakfast out there every morning, but it was a bit crowded with all four of us out there. What made it difficult is the large air conditioning unit on the deck that blows hot air, and makes it uncomfortable to sit near. If it weren't for that, I would have zero complaints about this unit and, even with this one negative, I would highly recommend it, and would stay there again. Thank you for a great experience!

Everything about this unit was wonderful! We had lovely views, easy beach access, a rooftop garden where we could grill. The condo had everything we needed: plenty of towels, cooler, beach chairs, and even dishwasher and laundry soap. The only bad thing was occasional noise from the street wound it's way around the corner. Lots of dining options right across the street as well as places to rent snorkel gear and boogie boards (which we did!). Snorkeling right in front of the building is great...lots of turtles. We are very pleased with our experience here.

Love unit 606!!!

Just returned home after a long stay on Maui for our 25th anniversary. Unit 606 was unbelievable! Clean, comfortable and the views!! I would get up early everyday and make coffee and just sit on the lanai and look at the views!!!! The Royal Mauian is between two great beaches! Kam 1 and 2. The snorkeling was awesome right in front of the condos! Just go in on the Kam 2 side,much shorter swim to the reef. Turtles, Turtles! Turtles!! The condo is everything listed!!! You'll love it!! I can't wait to come back to Maui!

Beautiful suite and views.. I give it 4 stars due to the neighbours renos starting early in the AM

Stunning views, comfortable setting. The only thing was the suite next door was getting complete renos and the noise (which we were given a heads up about after the booking was made from the management company..We were offered a full refund but decided to take a chance since it was suppose to be the last week of the renos) It was loud everyday during business hours.. drilling, hammering, etc. Beauty suite though forsure!
