Great Vacation House

We stayed in this house last year, and loved it. Great location, very casual, “beachy” feel to the house. Beautifully decorated. But this year was a whole new experience. The addition of one of the neatest bunkrooms and adjoining bathroom made it GREAT for the kids. Terrific place!

Gnats and ants in kitchen?!!

Our stay was not worth the price and we were very disappointed and actually kind of relieved to be leaving. Gnats were a problem in the kitchen’s trash and sink, and would be attacking our food while we eat. No matter how much we cleaned and took the trash out nothing worked. The front door lock system ran out of battery on our second day. The property manager was great and did come out when we reported it, though unfortunately her solution for the gnats did not work and it was an issue throughout our stay. The deck and pool is nice but gets no sun at all (so don’t even think about getting a tan out there) so water was freezing. We asked to get it heated which we were quickly told it was extra but then they actually offered to do it free of charge to compensate for our other issues- UNFORTUNATELY it only worked for 1 day (and was actually not as warm as we would have liked) and by that evening it was no longer heated and was FREEZING again for the rest of our stay. The AC system is noticeably louder than what you would expect and is definitely inaccurate. We would set it to 70 and eventually be freezing but it would still be going. Then somehow at night it goes to 72 automatically, but doesn’t kick on even when it’s hotter than that; we woke up every night sweating, kicking our blankets off. We didn’t even try to get the pool heat fixed again because we were just tired of hassling people. The house is nice but definitely not as big or grand as shown online and the mosquito misting system mentioned in the add does NOT work at all unless that is yet another thing you have to pay extra for?! We were also told to tidy up inside, put our dishes through the wash and take out our trash. For a daily rate AND a cleaning fee I wonder why I’m doing housekeeping duties. Not worth it and we won’t be back.

Great Vacation with 3 generations

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 3 generations of family together to celebrate a wedding anniversary. There was enough room for all. Never felt we were on top of each other. Had ample places to telework or practice instruments. The large kitchen with high end appliances was the hub. Everyone enjoyed the cappuccino/espresso maker. The Decor was very tasteful. Very close to bike trails and quick walk to beach. The youngest generations enjoyed the infinity pool. Would love to rent it again. The owners thought of everything you could need.
